My 3 year old daughter passed away in 2018. Buying a coffin and picking the colors and details for it were the hardest and so traumatic. And she was already passed away. The way she just bought pink coffins like it was candy for her young living children is only something a monster could do. That part hit me the hardest. Rest in peace Steven. I know you're proud of your girls and the beautiful women they have become.

This one kinda hits home for me. I lived with my abusive birth giver (she shouldn't be called a mom) all my childhood and everytime my dad fought for custody, she would play the courts like a fiddle. It was until I turned 13 and my sis turned 14 that we could actually talk to the judge. We went to her chambers and told her everything. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the court room but we were so scared of that woman, we didn't want to so we sat outside. My dad finally won that day and my birth giver ran away to Florida to hide out. Hate is a very strong word but she's the closest I can get to that word (Edit: Grammer. Also thank u for the likes!)

  • @naverilllang

The facts that make the mother the obvious suspect are presented so clearly in hindsight. That being said, everyone is a suspect until ruled out. Celeste was on the table from the beginning. • @mitten97

No, it’s because there are limits to how long a patient can be kept if they have not committed any crime. This prevents involuntary indefinite hold of a person (which violates civil and constitutional rights). I think there is a 72 hr limit before a court appearance which is where it gets decided if they need to be held longer. After the 72hrs you are usually free to decline any further help and leave unless forced by the court. Many states allow for longer times under specific circumstances. To force someone to remain in the mental facility, 2 court appointed psychiatrists must agree on it and determine length of time. It’s a flawed system because of stories like this. Most psychiatric hospitals were forced to close because of the belief driven by the left in our country (this was during the civil rights movement) that the hospitals were inhumane, the misguided belief that hospitals could be replaced by medicines, and to save money because they were a money pit(imagine prison like system but with having to pay expensive doctors instead of corrections officers). They weren’t wrong per say, but their solution was no better. Now defund it, and force most to close and now you have capacity, funding and resource issues. The reality is the system was broken before, but then there was a huge pendulum swing in the other direction and now you get more stories like this all the time, as well as things like rampant homelessness in our cities and people with mental issues filling prisons. The current system is woefully inadequate while the previous system violated people’s liberties….basically the way we handle mental health needs to be addressed but the big whigs in charge don’t care. There is also the issue of Medicaid, example see ‘Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act 1981’ and how it has negatively impacted funding for SMI (severe mental illness). Court decisions also play a major part, example see ‘1999 Olmstead v. L.C.’

It wasn't until while in jail, she saw Celeste had gotten remarried, that she decided to come forward and tell the whole story. Celeste was an obvious psychopathic narcissist who abused her family for years. Steve died from an infection months after being shot which, supposedly his wife refused to clean his colostomy bag and help him with his wounds, so not surprisingly died

Tracy was ready to kill for Celeste because she loved her but as soon as Celeste turned her back she was ready to stab her (metaphorically) and came out with the truth, likely because she was jealous of "their love". While in the mental hospital, Celeste had convinced Tracey that she was being horribly verbally, mentally and physically abused by her husband Steven. She even gaslit/set up situations when she invited Tracey for dinner to make Steve lose his temper in front of Tracey to try to make him look bad. She faked bruises with makeup and took pictures to send to Tracey. She would fight with her husband and tape record conversations and then manipulate the tapes to make her husband sound like he was picking a fight and was verbally abusive. She also pretended to be in love with Tracey and to have just recently “discovered” she was a lesbian because Tracey made her realize how happy she was when they were together. Literal Solomon cutting the baby in twain situation. 1 Kings 3:16-18 If you don't know tl;dr Two women come to King Solomon with a baby, both claiming to be the mother. Solomon states as a "compromise" to have the baby cut in half and one half given to each women. One women agrees to these terms, while the other would rather just give the baby up instead of you know, cutting the baby in half. King Solomon then determines the woman who didn't accept these terms to be the real mother, the "compromise" being a clever ruse to reveal who the real mother was, because he know a real mother would never accept these demands.

The fact that both parents willingly separated those twins during their childhood just shows an enormous amount of pure selfishness. Shocking. Imagine being that self absorbed to do that to your own children. Separating kids in general is one thing, but twins, identical twins, that's unimaginable life long pain and damage for those kids.

As a twin, it breaks my heart that the indifferences between their parents split the girls up for years. Poor girls, the fact that they went through all of this and came out so strong shows how awesome they are.

I'm thinking these two girls might not have made it through the ordeal, had it not be for the support of one another, so in that aspect of this horrible scenario, they are somewhat lucky and, yes, very awesome. Sometimes the silver lining in those big dark clouds are easier to find than others. Think of the children in similar situations who have no one to lean on. I come across stories like this one, and Thank God that I had the mother that I did, may she RIP.

This shows an unwillingness to improve your language skills. By the way, it is INDIFFERENCE, not INDIFFERENCES. Two mistakes in two sentences and an attitude of sloppiness toward language. Write in another language if you cannot master this one.

What a remarkable pair of women they are. Other people might feel they have to be loyal to the blood relative, but they didn't hesitate to do right by their stepdad. And furthermore the fact that they are able to feel empathy for the woman who actually did it because they understand it was a result the mom's manipulations. What good hearts they have.
