It’s definitely neat a man who takes a kid to be the slave, sex ring because a lot of kids went missing in 1980s young boys to be sold for rape and sex. That why happened to Jonny. He mostly likely got rape. I believe that Johnny Gosch was kidnapped and then raped by an older guy and is still alive to this do. If people like younger boys like Johnny Gosch just get somebody that is 18+. Not going to lie Johnny Gosch was a cute kid but we need to answer what happened to him. The picture of him on the bed with the cloth gaga on his mouth made it look like he was rape that day. May you give us an update on him. The bed made him look so cute and hot. Hope the police will find him soon. Why did somebody want to rape him is it because is he cute? or his dad rape him His kidnapper won’t be alive anymore because they’ll be a big age gap the kidnapper probably be in the 80s now or 90s. The picture of the boy on the bed gagged up and tied was definitely him. He had the same eye bag marks when he went missing in the photo Johnny had the same hairstyle, and his hair type is straight and all the pictures the boys have straight hair. Why did he target him? Is it because it looks? Was he killed after he got a rape?

I was molested at ten years old by a neighbor of my Grandparents after mowing his lawn and being invited inside to "cool off" and have a cold soda. I never told anyone but my brother and made him swear not to tell anyone. And we both avoided being anywhere near him when at my Grandparents. At the time I didn't know what a child molester was, and I was worried my Dad, the Marine, would do something physical and get thrown in jail for it. Looking back 56 years I wander how many others he molested because I never said anything. He's more than likely dead now as he was in his 40s back then. I carry that memory with me to this day. That is a mental trauma you never forget. You might eventually push it to the back of your mind, but one day something will trigger that memory. For me it was this video.

I am retired after 40 years as a Mental Health Therapist. My specialty was working with children who had been sexually abused. I recall three cases in particular, where the county refused to go to trial against the molester. In each case there was a reliable witness, physical evidence and every reason to prosecute. After several attempts to move the Prosecutor to schedule these cases for trial, I contacted the State Attorney General and a Special Prosecutor was appointed to bring these cases to trial. Each case resulted in convictions and each perpetrator served time in prison. The most disappointing aspect of this was the short amount of jail time these monsters received. I posted this to encourage others to continue to to work toward changing the laws and penalties in the area of child molestation. Continue the battle..... It probably has to do with the belief that people can change. The idea that being incarcerated can actually change a person’s behavior after release implies that we believe that with penitence a person can become someone better. If that’s true, then many years of demonstrated law abidance are a potential indication of the same. The law doesn’t exist for revenge, it exists to control; if someone appears under control then they are within the law.

Absolutely! The level of incompetence is really baffling. I could understand if the perp was going to different states to commit his crimes why they wouldn't have realized there was a serial offender but the crimes were in such close proximity that it should have been easy to realize the crimes and cases were connected. This guy should have been apprehended a lot sooner, before he was able to make any other children his victim. It's shocking that he didn't even get punished for murdering that boy. His family had to pay such a high cost to even get closure to finally know his fate. I'll never understand the American legal system how they can let heinous criminals go with a slap on the wrist but punish minor offenders with maximum sentences. It's lunacy.

The heartbreaking crime against Jacob Wetterling and his family and friends occurred the year I left Minnesota. The boy has a special place in my heart; my husband and I left Minnesota when our girls were 6 and 4. I did not realize his murdering abuser had been caught and it brings me to tears knowing what that evil that poor boy was subjected to. I will donate to the foundation. May God bless this strong family's lives.

It was a male and female duo. When the male was in his 70s he came up for parole. He claimed ill health, and due to supposed terminal illnesses was getting approved. It was discovered that he had a new woman partner who was far advanced in the process of obtaining a young girl for him. Age is no guarantee. Illness is no safeguard. Never let the monsters free.

Even if the murderer and abuser is released in his 70s, he still poses a great danger. He would not be the first to rape, abuse and kill at this age. Pedophilia is difficult to get under control, no matter what so-called experts say . It's a shame that an authority had to be so fair to such an unfair person and carry out the deal offered. Actually, this man doesn't deserve it. I wanted to write human in my sentence before, but he's not that; he also lacks compassion and respect for others and other lives. This boy still had a whole life ahead of him, like all the other children he abused and traumatized. He destroyed their lives. What a brave Jade! He did a great job of helping to find his tormentor and those of other children. I wish all those affected all the best for the future, may lots of happiness and joy come your way! A man in the passenger side of the car quickly opened the door and said “hey boy. Come here.” I instantly knew I needed to run. I ran in a diagonal direction towards the homes on the other side of the street island, parallel to the rest of the street , as if I was going to run to a friend’s house, or someone who could help me. Fortunately, I escaped. I will never forget that night. I always wonder, to this day what would have happened, had I not taken off running in a sprint. I was sitting on the curb and a van stopped w/2 guys who asked for directions. Gav them the directions and before they left they asked me if I wanted a ride which creeped me out. They drove away but turned at the 1st street which wasn’t the directions I gave them. I realized they were going around the block. I ran between some houses and hid in the bushes. The went slowly around the block 2x and I guess they left then. Stayed in those bushes for hours until my mom got home. I never again was as comfortable when outside alone. The two main points to come out of this for me are that the police's negligence in following through on the original case led to another boy being murdered, and secondly that having a statute of limitations makes no sense when you are dealing with a sociopathic or psychopathic sex offender and murderer.

  • @gorilladisco9108

Please read @ash_tray thread up there. It discussed why there is statute of limitation in the first place. It's not to protect the perpetrators, but to protect the innocents. The main argument is, as time goes by, while the evidences against someone's guilt are collected and recorded, the evidences for someone's innocence are not collected and lost. Consider this scenario: Nobody may remember where you were at 16 July 1997. A prostitute was murdered that day. You only remember that you paid her a visit on 15 July 1997 (maybe you wrote it in your diary .. somehow). The police collected and recorded that your DNA was on her body (apparently she hadn't properly clean herself after your visit). Your DNA was there to prove your guilt. How will you prove your innocence? It's one thing if the case happens last year. While difficult, your friends may remember that you were at their house during that time, or your grandma may remember you visited her home some hundred miles from the crime scene, or you have surveillance camera recordings from Walmart near your grandma home at the time in question. But it will be exponentially difficult for you to prove your innocence after more than 20 years. Your friends forget what happened that day twenty years ago, your grandma may already passed away, and who kept their surveillance camera recordings for 20 years? With prosecutor tells the judge that your DNA was on the victim's body, how will you deny the accusation? The statute of limitation is there to prevent law enforcement from fucking up your life.
