I dunno, it's the same way I feel about swapping a Toyota 1UZ V8 into a Supra to make a Samurai horse, lol. It's all GM guts and it's doing today what it did years ago with a turbo.

Nice truck. I love the old Syclones and Typhoons. I'm glad you left it AWD. Removing that would of been more sacrilege than the V8 swap imo.

Incorrect. It is according to something called 'facts' = why it is true. How many camshafts does the coyote engine have? Have you seen the size of the coyote heads? It is according to the physical measurement size of the engine. Have you priced out coyote heads and cams vs LS? It's also not about 'saving money' its about doing the same for less... Unless you like wasting money achieving similar. Perhaps you don't mind spending more for everything, up to you. I sure dont see Coyote swaps all over the place at SEMA but sure see alota LS.. but then again, must be the GM Community right?

+kurt Coleman no the little Chevy cyclone S-10's where. Jay Leno says the same thing in lenos garage when he is reviewing his look it up. Crazy to think a S-10 was the quickest 1/4 mile vehicle oroduced that year. I was suprised when Jay said it and went and googled it and sure enough it was true.

awesome build man, well done. that thing is perfect!

It had the perfect setup turbo charger, AWD, and automatic. No problems with traction, and it could apply constant increasing power to the drivetrain. The Turbo keeps the boost on throughout the run.

Truck sounds amazing.... like a jet...... turbo is half of the size of the engine.. good one kleib..👍👍👍

Mr SS Young and stupid, always figured I could find one cheap later,haha. I did get my Nova out of the deal so all wasn't lost.

This video was the reason I pulled the trigger on a Syclone. Just love them.

That turbo truck beat the shit out of all the supercharged sports cars. Didn't even see any turbo lag or anything. I always been a turbo guy myself it's good to see if turbo beat the shit out of the supercharger that made my day : )

GERARDO1343 if you get the stall speed and gearing right it wont have turbo lag. All abput set up. Get a converter that stalls at the rpm where the turbo starts to spoolup, and you basically load the engine and let it climb to just under the stall speed and launch under boost. Thats where an automatic and a turbo compliment each other well.

I had a 85 s10 short box with a mildly built 350. edlebrock cam carb N intake. it was fast as heck. just fun. frame snapped so I stuffed the engine N Trans into a 93 ranger regarding cab long box and it got so much better.

thats usually what happens when you go against a AWD vehicle putting down some power. the hellcat was losing traction (both on launch and probably through a bit afterwards) while the AWD can put more power on the ground without breaking traction.

They need to add a big crazy nose cone to that thing like they did to the Superbirds when they went racing. When it gets up to speed you can just see that flat front end having to tear a jagged hole through the air.

bring the syclone back is a real truck that take off like no other truck in it's time. it was wayyyy ahead of its era.

I do like it but wish it was on stock motor and turbo just to make it that much better. Just do forged Internals and tube is what I mean. Still bad ass either way.
