I love LS swapped Syclones and Typhoons. Nothing wrong with it as long as it’s still turbo, still awd with a GM power plant and not cut up. This guy did a great job on keeping the spirit of the truck somewhat original to what it’s supposed to be, it’s perfect in my opinion and almost meant to be.

Why is it the most hated truck on You Tube? What did that little truck do to deserve people's hate?? It's just so small and cute. I REALLY WANT TO GIVE IT A HUG.

I've Loved these since they first came out!

I have been in a stock Syclone, and they launch hard and aggressive for a stock vehicle. If I remember correctly, he is using a stock 5.3L with a big turbo. The fact that he daily drives it on the street and brings it to the track for fun says a lot. I'm sure the truck could do 9's if pushed... But then he will just destroy the motor. Then there is the issue of heat!!! That little engine compartment can only handle so much heat. I know. I have a blown built 4.3L in my S10 and heat is always an issue, especially on a hot day. The owner made a very key comment... It is not up on jack stands all the time. That does say a lot. "G Bodies???" well that his opinion. I like his attitude about the Sycloce. Cool setup... And he gets to drive it a lot.

I agree, I thought it was going to be much faster. Like 8 something. The V6 stock block with mild work we went low 10s and was very reliable and this was even back in 1998. I wish I never sold it. Other mods were Exhaust with dump pipe, intercooler, 76mm turbonetics and what really made the difference back then was the gen 6 DFI. Which wasn't bad for the time. The person who installed that bar should never touch a truck bar again. Looks like shit. To nice of a truck to do a job like that. I see why it's hated but never seen or heard of this one until now.

@@imemovengeance I was talking about my truck in 98. It ran 6s in the 8th and I wasn't talking stock. I listed the mods. Motor was stock with aftermarket turbo, intercooler, etc. Even 100% stock they went faster then 10s in the 8th. I went like 8.50s in the 8th bone stock low 13s in the 1/4. Well into the 7s in the 8th with the factory turbo and intercooler. I Have no clue what your talking about with 10s in the 8th with any of them.

Be cheaper to just get the same AWD system from the astrovan and put it in a S-10 with a LS swap. The Syclones aren't cheap

I consider myself a "car purist", and I don't see why somebody would hate it. It has the Syclone look, the AWD, and a GM engine. But with all that weight, doing 10s, I don't see what's special about it.

These trucks are not hated in australia. we love these small mid sized trucks, we have our own called the SS. apparently the american market is sensitive towards the "SS" name hence why it wasnt sold in USA. lol

I'm guessing it's got long legs guessing that why it not in the mid 9's. Well one of the reasons I'm guessing lol im no expert

Stock ring and pinion is like 3:30. But I'm not sure if he changed that or not.

Look up Mr Syclone out of Sweden...he has the best Syclone on earth...hit High 8s with the V6 single snail. The block he runs is an out of production GMMP V6 race block but its true to the game. The 4.3 shares all internals with the 350's parts arent that hard to get

It's geared for roll racing the 1/2 mile. An AWD drivetrain soaks up a lot of power and he has street tires on it....so yeah it runs tens.

Seems like he’s quite worried what everyone thinks. He mentions changing peoples minds a few times. Who cares. I don’t care if I change someone’s mind about what I’m doing. There will always be jealous haters.

This would be a sick truck to drop a VR38 GTR V6 into then you can play the whole "Yea it's still just a little V6" game while being able to make as much power as you want and be completely reliable with well over 1000hp.

He needs to tune it. You can hear it breaking up.
