Watched Typhoons for many years and finally got one almost 2 years ago. Love it and rare and always getting stopped to talk about it, almost as much as my Grand National. You dont see Syclones at all and this one is a very nice and clean example of taking care of timeless rare muscle truck. I have both sides of those rear pieces if he wants them. I bought them not realizing the syclone is a bit longer than the Typhoon and yes they are very rare and costly.

blackericdenice - I just sold my collection of 14 classic used trucks, my herd of 550 purebred Limousine range cows and 11 purebred bulls. 425 calves, and my farm, all but 125 acres, the other 1380 aces are for sale, all equipment valued at just under 1 million. So I can retire. I could afford one. The frame and all wheel drive etc, it would last that way. The gravel, itself would chew the tires to pieces and those tires would nave been much worse. There would not be a single drop of protection underneath from the gravel. The suspension would have required a pretty constant level of maintenance. The suspension was much different from the regular S10. The S10 was, in regular form, a piece of crap. I could go on, but don’t have to. Go troll someone else now.

actually the interior is more reflecting of the late 80's than the 90's this boxy look is the first gen body and interior that was for most of the 80's. Also comparing the body of these s10 to modern trucks these trucks when you do not have the turbo and can hall things, are so usable in dimentions. You can reach over into the bed of the truck to load and unload things. in modern trucks everything is so high off the ground and the bed of the truck has massive tall sides so you need all those steps to be tall enough to get in and out or reach in and out. Same with the old toyotas and nissan small trucks. Small trucks rock.

To add to that I'm pretty shocked at how well the G-body GM's aged. They looked out of place in the 90's but seeing them now (those in good condition) the cars were well-styled and far from the stupid jelly-bean approach of modern cars.

And no it is not a car, where do you get off saying that? The S-10 was never called a car. It is still smoking fast, has there been a faster truck to date? NO! Anybody out there remember the predecessor to this truck? The Dodge Dakota Shelby small pickup?

I was a young man when these came out. My Dad has always been into cars and I went with him as he looked at & and test drove one of the first ones in the Portland metro area. Because it’s a two seater, I didn’t get to go on the test drive. Dad came back with a big grin on his face. He said that he accidentally roasted the tires just trying to pull out of the parking lot onto a kind of busy street. He was super apologetic to the salesman, who just laughed and said they had all accidentally spun the tires. Dad didn’t end up buying one, but I’ve always loved these. I also remember that at the time, one of the major car car magazines did a funny article comparing the Cyclone to a new Ferrari. The Cyclone beat it in almost every category including number of kegs they could each carry. Awesome truck, thanks to the owner for sharing and thanks to TFL for providing the video!

Scott Long Yep, the exact same thing happened with GN’s/T Types.. even 10 years ago, you could find a decent Buick for 10k, now it’s virtually impossible. Guys are trying to sell 85 GN’s for 20k and those are horrible. Looking at Syclones, it seems like 25k is the avg for something in this condition. Typhoons are a tad cheaper, but even those are becoming hard to find without breaking the bank. I would love to have either a Syclone or Buick soon, but it’s getting crazy. I’m currently looking at Sonoma GT’s which I love as well, I’ll be happy with one of those and toss a supercharger on that 4.3 and save 10k.

My ‘92 s10 had the 700r4 automatic and I had a shift kit installed in it. Chirped into 2nd gear every time!

I have a B&M shift kit in my 1991 GMC C1500 single cab step side. It barks the tires into 2nd gear almost every time. I honestly wish I would have put the stage 1 spring in the valve body instead of the stage 2 solid space for the 1-2 accumulator because it's a bit much even at light throttle in a parking lot. If I ever drop the valve body out again I'm swapping the spring. 2-3 shift is firm and perfect.

Don Leamon before Ford n GM stop manufacturing they were top two heroes fighting for top position with great local build cars like F6 Typhoon n HSV GTS with ute version been very popular. Ford was smart and came out with new Ranger n had great SUV but GM Holden fall apart with poor quality n customer servicing on their Captiva SUV. The once reliable Holden Rodeo or now Colorado had few issues but with updates it starting to gain traction in sales. GM SUV need works done to it if going a place in market not rebadged with high fuel mpg n price tag is not helping. There small cars are losing ground because they come from Korea not Europe and with loss of European built cars I reckon this is nail in coffin for GM unless they going build great small cars, SUV from USA with RHD truck off manufacturing floor only this save GM. I reckon FCA learning this moment all need is time and might replace slow GM. There was talk of Holden been sold through PSA which sell Peugeot. But gone are days of great RWD cars n utes that there still a neèd for in Australia not everyone wants SUV or truck to get around in Australia.

Very cool! I’ve only seen one in person. Outside an O’Reillys. Wish the big 3 would make cool street trucks. Raptor is cool but I don’t off-road and would like a 4 door street truck. Just a bed for easy homepdopot runs, trowing my bikes in the back, and camping gear. Give me lighting and ss and cyclone etc of 2019! That would be cool.

I really like the size of this truck. I had a Comanche that felt just right. I don't understand the desire for vehicles the size of all modern trucks. I'd really like Jeep to build a two door Gladiator.

It’s amazing how little GMs switchgear and instrumentation has evolved in 30 years. I’d be willing to bet that if you look at a current model GM product five years from now, the painted on bezel and switch color will be flaking off.

Because the grand national is a g-body and chick hicks is based on the g-body. G-body is 80s Chevy Monte Carlo, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Buick Regal(which is the Grand Nationals base platform), and Pontian Grand Prix.
