    I have the whole milled fillet clamps but still have a hard time getting the lower angles on small knives. Would the Single spring Fillet clamp help me get to the 7-11 degree angle on the KO3?

    Could you make clamps to do really thick spines, I have been sharpening khukuri with 10 mm spines and it is very hard to get them in the clamp.

    At this point, it's possible just up to 8 mm. But we'll take this into account. Thank you.

    @@TSPROFSharpening Hi! Is that right? 8mm? On your website it says 7mm. My knife has a spine thickness of 8mm. Does that mean I can sharpen it with your system, or not? Many thanks!

    I have a newer Kadet model. Do you suggest any other clamps besides the ones that came with it for knives that have no flats? For example, something like a chef's that is just an angled blade with no flats. How do you clamp onto the blade and still keep your Apex centered? Do you suggest any other clamps to help for that? I find that to be an issue when I try to clamp onto knife with no flats to keep the Apex centered. Thanks.

    Basically, whole milled ones which come by default are great for chief's knives, they can be used both with flats or without actually, it's just a matter of how to clamp a knife. At the same we also recommend having the same whole milled with reduced angle which are widely used for thin chief's blades. As for a problem with apex, I'm not sure if I understand it. It's better to shoot a video or a photo with it and send it to us to better understand it sales@tsprof.com.

    We do. These are spring clamps. Here you can learn more about them: tsprof.us/products/double-clamp-for-knives-sharpening-premium-quality?_pos=2&_sid=b4513d9cd&_ss=r

    What kind of clamp is recommended for full flat grind knives, whole milled or the standard clamp.

  • @TSPROFSharpening

    Both can be used. However standard ones have springs and this allows to clamp a knife at two points (at the tip and close to bolster), so they're designed specifically for full flat grind knives. Whole milled are generally more multitsaking and universtal for the rest blade types, but you can also clamp full flat grind blades by the point close to bolster (almost all knives have a piece of a flat surface there), it holds reliably the blade within as well. If you have a bunch of FFG blades, I'd recommend taking standard clamps. they're more "flexible" because of springs.

    Is it possible to make clamps for axes?

  • @TSPROFSharpening

    @TSPROFSharpening

    2 жыл бұрын

    We currently have a small universal table and using this it's possible to clamp small axes with up to 10 mm thickness. here's an overview. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJOMj86vpJadosY.html&ab_channel=TSPROFSharpening Butif we're speaking about big axes, we don't plan to work on clamps for them in the near future.
