    The 360 upgrade is a must, also if you flip the bracket upside down it can be used as a thickness compensator like they have on the Kadet model. My only complaint would be the clamps, they tend to pull the blade off center slightly.

    @@garyd395 . It allowed me to get knife edge to 90 g on BESS C scale. I like how secure knife it held knife. I would call it the Lamborghini of manual sharpener but not at that price. The diamond plates are very efficient.

    I have the Kadet and am very happy with it. I have been using the set of diamond stones that were included in the kit and they have done okay but I am wanting to get a better set. It seems like the Venev Orion are the ones to get but Gritomatic is out of stock. Do you know anywhere else to purchase them or recommend a different set?

    I just pulled the trigger on the K03 and I'd like to know what other set of clamps I need to sharpen items like Case Folders and other Thin spine folders. Please suggest another set of stones to sharpen high HRC number knives and possibly ceramic knives.

    I wish I could stumble across some comparisons with Jende Industries jig which I really have my eye on. The micro drive looks really appealing to me but I'd prefer the one that has the longer lasting flip locking mechanism. I've done wore out two flip plates on my KME. And good customer service is a plus. Sadly Jende has issues in this department. I'm getting close to buying an upgrade from my KME. I'll still use it for smaller and lighter knives. Thanks.

    The angle needle is adjustable. Once you use the angle cube to set it then its dead on. Using an angle cube is a waste of time

  • @GunnysSharptalk

    @GunnysSharptalk

    2 жыл бұрын

    An angle cube is more accurate. Stone thickness compensators get close, but you can still be off by up to 0.3 degrees which is fine for most people. I prefer the accuracy. If I don’t want an exact to at least 0.05 degrees then I will just freehand sharpen. It’s faster.

    I received mine on 08/30/22 and can't say it was so smooth of an assembly. The box had been dropped on the corner and the wooden crate was busted. The logistics company that TSPROF.US used to fulfill the order put the tsprof box inside of a larger box with virtually no packing and when I received it from UPS the shipping tape was busted on both ends . Long story short the mechanical angle gauge was bent pretty bad which I blame on the shipper but the fact that the thumb screws that hold the unit to the weighted base would only thread in by hand about one third of the way and had to be tightened the rest of the way with pliers leaves me to wonder just what kind of quality control issues the company has. I am not happy with my purchase.

    @@GunnysSharptalk I sent it back on the 1st and a guy in Moscow emailed me and told me a new one would be shipped out by 10am on the second. Said he would send me tracking info from USPS but never did. My next one will be a Kazak or a Hapstone. Gritomatic is one hour drive from my house.
