Thanks for the explanation of why/how the convex attachment works. I can work on flat grinds with without too much difficulty. But I have two white carbon knives with mid convex edges. With some practice on cheaper knives, I hope to progress to the real thing. I’m a step closer.

Thanks, I'm waiting for the my convex attachment to arrive from you. The stone thickness compensator at the pivot point should eliminate the need to use the angle cube again. Thanks for all your tips👍

Technically yes, but there are more specific sharpening systems like the Wolff Industries Hira-To that are more suited to this task

What would you benefit from a convex edge?

There is more mass on each side of the blade, hence making it a stronger knife for bushcraft / survival.

Mainly edge stability by having more metal behind the cutting edge.
