Axicube worked perfectly for a couple months, now does not accurately give angle, and attempts to recalibrate do not work. Sets at anywhere between 17.6 and 19.9 on the 14 deg calibration angle with press and hold. Defective? Hard reset?
The whole trick with showing a proper angle is a marketing trick. You don't need that, all you need is to set your angle while the rod is in the center of the sharpener. That is all. Rechargeable battery is also not a huge benefit as it will eventually degrade. Replaceable batteries would last for at least a year because you only use it for 30 seconds each time. Also a red color is not the most readable color against black background. Orange or at least plain white would've been better. All in all, a 7 dollar Shahe pocket inclinometer is better than this and it is much smaller.
What is the angle?! Degree
Hi Dimitri. Thanks for all the useful information you have shared. I like how you break everything down in an easy way to understand with your awesome Russian accent. Thank you once again
I have the blitz pro. Very nice sharpener. I stripped the screw head on the clamp. Is it possible to purchase a new screw? or am I screwed and must buy a new clamp?

What is a convex edge? How is it different from the other edge?
Convex bulges out. Concave bulges in. Or hollow versus proud with regard to a vertical line. Visualise that..
Good video. Hello from France!
Hi Dmitrii, I just purchased my new K03 system yesterday and I can't wait go get it delivered to me - I'm very excited. Now I am thinking about a good microscope. Can you please share what the microscope on the video is and if you still recommend it or something even better than this? Thanks.
Hi, you mentioned not to use diamond stones, I did not understand why ? Can you elaborate?

This looks very good! Will it work with the K03 sharpener?
No, but we're gonna release for K03 quite soon.
Do you know if aluminum oxide polish is toxic? Or if you need gloves, mouth or eye protection when using it? It would be amazing if you know!🙏☺️ And nice video❤
Any synthetic dust that you inhale is not definitely good for your health. So, when you sharpen a knife it's not recommended to keep your face too close to the knife. Mouth and eye protection is optional but it might be helpful when you sharpen 3-5 knives at a time.
@@TSPROFSharpening okay thank you so much, this really helps cause i cant find the answer anywhere🙏🙏❤️ New sub
Where can I get one ?
tsprof.us/collections/new-products/products/tsprof-ultra-convex-attachment-6-mm It's in stock in the end of July
Seems odd and over complicated that you need to have one hole for straight sharpening then need to move it 90° to do convex sharpening. The Hapstone gen 2 convexing attachment can go from straight to convexing with a thumb screw and adjusting the angle, no need to move the guide rod location.
This solution was chosen to provide a wider range of sharpening angles.
Perfect engineering! Best regards from Serbia!
Hi Serbia, we agree with you even here in the high desert Joshua Tree National Park California USA.
Thank you! Nice to know we're watched in Serbia either!
Warm regards!
😂
Softer steels damage bonded diamond stones? How ?
When you work with soft steel, the abrasive stone looses its grain faster due to the steel viscosity.
@TSPROFSharpening Thanks for the information. Makes sense.
I want to see it hold an axe. I seriously want to use my ko3 pro to sharpen everything
That depends on the size of an axe. Small axe or hatchet can be sharpened on this table, but we have not shot a video yet.
Mine should arrive tomorrow So excited
Hope, you'll enjoy that!
thanks
You're welcome!

will it sharpen a machete or samurai sword ?
Depending on its length, yes.
Отлично, нужно завоевать и их рынки вам )
Can the KO3 be left on a bench. Or must you clean and each time you use the Ko3
We recommend cleaning your sharpening systems every time you finish to work with them.
thanks
You're welcome!
Great feature! Hope to see more of these. Incidentally, I just put an edge back on a Kizer in 3V I have. I'm not a heavy user but I'm looking forward to seeing it do some cutting.
More to come!

Bonjour à vous ! Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo très instructive. Bien à vous.
Bonjour! Merci de l'avoir regardé. On espere que l'aiguiser est bien utilisé par vous :)
Currently Bohler seem to have better steel over crucible. As we see crucible has more and larger inclusions. Otherwise both have similar alternatives to each other and the heat treat will be the deciding factor of its performance and properties.
Depending on heat treatment, an ingot steel can perform better than powdered metallurgy.
In fact there is a lot of 20cv, 204p and m390 that performs poorly over so many other steels because of their poor choices in heat treatment protocols.
So in otherwords what juice is worth the squeeze. Cruwear m4 k390 s110v 90v 15v vanex
Thanks! Kindly noted :)
Nice video, very interesting on the metallurgical topic. In addition to dealing with the chemical composition and characteristics, it would be interesting to know by discussing from time to time in different videos which types of steel are better to sharpen to a shiny edge and which to leave with a more "crispy"-"toothed" edge precisely to enhance their characteristics. Kind regards Alessio
Thanks so much for your feedback. We'll do that definitely!
This also depends on the heat treat also. Because a high temper steel might be more beneficial to use lower grit than higher grit in the same steel at a lower temper.
Thank you very much!
You're welcome!

CBN is second to diamond. Also it fries and breaks down and leaves a nicer finish than diamond. Fav abrasive
I have been a knife fan for over 40 years and have been sharpening knives freehand for decades. I've tested a few systems over the years, but none of them convinced me. I recently bought a Tsprof Kadet Pro and what can I say, I love the system, it is solid, functional and precise. I still do a lot of freehand sharpening, but for example edge reprofiling I use the Tsprof system because it makes the process so much easier and is highly precise. 👍😀
Love to hear that. Thanks so much for your feedback!
A great accessory that TSPROF should come up with would be a nice carrying case with foam cut outs for each part of the K03 for us sharpeners that take their tool to farmers markets, or just pack it away at home when not in use. The wood box that it's delivered in is okay but the styrofoam starts breaking up after just a few times of pulling the parts in and out.
Thanks for your suggestion. We'll probably do something like that.
Love the idea of stropping on the sheath in the field! Thanks for that!
Any time!
My dad always used a sharpening stone with a couple drops of oil on the stone.
Just recently purchased a TSPROF K03 Pro...love it so far. What was the grit and material (diamond, or stone) of the sharpening stone you used for the honing at the end?
In this particular video it was diamond 3/2. But the point is to use extra fine stone to process only the edge instead of the whole bevel.

Glad you enjoy it!
It would be nice to have a promotional code for Europe too. Axis Cube one is really great I tried it from a friend but its price is high. It would also be nice to repeat the axicube giveway every now and then. Thanks anyway for your international channel, I am subscribed and following very carefully to learn more and more. Greetings from Italy
Working on it! Thank you for sharing. We're launching the giveways for Europe too. The last one included Europe. So stay tuned for the next one!

Curious, my new system didn't come with the rubber bumper for the end spring, was that removed from newer kits for some reason?
