Trip to Pitcairn island part one
Video of the travel to Pitcairn island. i went on this trip in November 2017. To get to Pitcairn island i started in Auckland, New Zealand. I then flew to Tahiti. The onto Mangareva. there is only one flight to Mangareva a week. From there the Claymore II was waiting for us. The claymore is Pitcairn islands only container ship and only means of transport to and from the island. The ship goes from Tauranga, NZ to Pitcairn once every 3 months. Once at Pitcairn it does 1 rotation a week from Pitcairn to Mangareva for 3 weeks before heading back to NZ. A 2 day trip on the Claymore brings you to Pitcairn island where from there you catch a longboat into Bounty bay. Enjoy!
