Trans Women vs Women in Sports

Trans women compete in women’s sports and many win.
Is that fair?

----
Mountain bike racer Leia Schneeberger doesn’t think so.
She was winning races until a former men’s cyclist transitioned and started racing.
Now that person wins.
Trans athlete and scientist Joanna Harper says that shouldn’t be a problem: “The idea that trans women are hugely going to outperform ... does not hold up to the statistics ... Trans women lose muscle … with hormone therapy.”
Many trans women do take testosterone blockers that help align their body with how they identify. They lose strength and speed.
But developmental Biologist Emma Hilton pushes back, “you can’t fix some performance gaps…. a male could be 40% stronger than a female on his legs."
Schneeberger concludes, “To watch a transgender female ride away from me like it was nothing … was torture.”

    This affects women's ability to secure scholarships for college, brand sponsorships if they're professionals and many other aspects of women's sports. What will eventually occur is that only trans women, honestly men, will be competing in women's sports. A fat man named Brian Nguyen recently was crowned Miss Greater Derry 2023 in a pageant sponsored by the Miss America organization. Not only that but he also received a college scholarship and corporate brand deals meant for women. And the other contestants stood around and clapped and cheered for this fat, homely guy and his "extraordinary achievement". So if those women don't care that mentally disturbed men and virtue signaling judges are robbing them of their future, why should I care?

    "Cisgender" is an unnecessary, nonsensical adjective. While I wouldn't go so far to say it's a slur, it doesn't make sense. I was a male at birth. I'm a man now (an adult male human). How am I "cis"gender? I didn't have a gender (in the trans ideology sense) at birth, I had a sex, which was observed and recorded. Cis is an unnecessary term and like other outdated terms - e.g. the term "transexual" - it belongs in the bin.

    This could literally be solved overnight (and I mean that literally) if the women all grew a spine and *REFUSE* to compete. Either don't show up at all, or, if you wanna make a more dramatic statement, show up, but then walk off the court/stage/field. When the game/event starts, literally just do a 180 and walk off. If a bunch of female athletes and teams did that, you'd solve this. But I guess they'd rather be politically correct.

    I mean, it makes the game super lame and pointless if a man competes against a bunch of women. Seriously? If trans is so important for real, have your own categories. Compete against each other and tell me how fair that feels to you. Back off women's sports...leave it to us.

  • @xwrtk
    @xwrtk25 күн бұрын

    Depends on what people view is fairness. We’ve some transgender athletes that were only noticed when they had retired or stoped playing in their league as graduated. We’ve had professional female golfers be thrilled over a particular trans female golfer because they knew she would rank near the bottom of the scoreboard. In a marathon with thousands of people, it doesn’t typically make a difference as hard to win or even place top 3 with many runners with you. A trans woman ran a marathon with over 20,000 women and she placed close to 7,000th place. Trans women should be regularly medical tested to confirm that they can properly play. There are biological women with the same testosterone as some men and no enhancement drugs taken either.

    I must say I have severe doubts on every piece of research that's published under Harper's name as I could not think of a bigger, harder to overcome bias on science regarding trans athletes's performance compared to natural women's one than being a trans athlete yourself, obviously wanting and/or hoping the research will show no difference. Also, there are numerous studies that show there is still a big difference between transgender women and biological women. Also, I think it's ridiculous that it seems to be an accepted argument to say "Trabs women's physical performance decreases during transition". Sure it does, but we shouldn't be comparing to the level the person had as a man, which is obviously higher than a biological woman's one. Obviously, a decrease does not automatically mean the level is anywhere near a woman's one (e.g. a man's punching power being 160% that of a woman's)

So this guy says men lose muscle but hes a perfect example that they dont. Like i havent been able to use the gym seriously in about 10 years. I'm still essentially as muscular as i was when i got chronic fetigue, that also left me unable to do much physical activity at all. So i should be atrophied and weak, but now im finally feeling better, coming back to the gym i can still lift about 90% of what i could ten years ago.
