dude, FINA(Swimming) & WRC(Rugby) made these decisions 2022. World Cycling Body increased from 12months to 24mnths the transition time period to show consistent testosterone decrease & the maximum permitted plasma testosterone level has been lowered from 5 nmol/L to 2.5 nmol/L (maximum testosterone level found in 99.99 percent of the female population).

Next we need to ban athletes who work out because their strength gives them an unfair advantage. Also, ban people who come from wealthy families because their wealth gives them unfair training advantages. And I personally don't think manly looking women should be allowed to compete because they're typically bigger and stronger than other women. And no Hispanics or Blacks either because they often excel at athletics.

Believe me schools wil follow soon enough. People are sick and tired of the whole woke culture and are opening their eyes. They’re starting to fight back and let the real voice of the people be heard. The moment they started messing with our kids by putting those crazy books in the library, pushing political views onto them and letting intact trans “women” into bathrooms/changing rooms was the moment we had enough. It should be pointed out that athletes like Castor Semenya is not transgender. She naturally has a XXY chromosome with female genitalia. There are other athletes like her such as Mbomba who naturally have high testosterone. They are different from athletes like Lia Thomas who transitioned after puberty through drugs and surgery.

While you are absolutely right, Ms. Semenya is not transgender, rather she is intersex....her naturally high testosterone is the result of having internal testes. Testes (whether internal or external) is the reason why biological men also have naturally high testosterone and gives both intersex individuals and biological males an advantage over biological women.

I do not believe trans athletes who have transitioned should be allowed to compete with cisgender women. However, female athletes with naturally high levels of testosterone deserve more consideration. More science based data should be collected to determine if there is an unfair advantage. Is it ethical or safe to force them to take drugs which may have harmful side effects? There are some athletes who have said the drugs made them feel awful. I enjoyed watching Castor run. She was unaware of her condition during most of her career and the way she was publicly humiliated was shameful.

Their exposure to testosterone during puberty has given them certain clear advantages, regardless of if they were born with it. If you have similar levels of testosterone as a man, and have internal male testes, then you should compete with men. Simple.

In addition to his body, his voice is male. Caster Semenya is male, period. He should not be able to compete against women. Hormone suppression is not enough, the committee did not go far enough. If an athlete has XY genetics, and went through puberty as a male, it's too late, there's a permanent advantage. Allowing intersex athletes like Caster Semenya, who is obviously way more male than female, to compete with six month's suppression of hormones, is still not right or fair. He should not be able to compete in women's spirts, at all.

On an average, trans women have got advantages of height, muscle mass, lung capacity, strength, bone mass, better cardiovascular functions, larger airways etc over cis-women. And a lot of these can't be changed with hormonal therapy, because some of them are intrinsic characteristics of a human body. A human body is much more than the few glands secreting testosterone or estrogen , especially after the person has passed his/her puberty.

true I want to see real women on top of the podium. It was nice to see the Eileen Gu dominate in extreme skiing and become a spokes women for women sports. The trans gender just win and take the money and run. None can be a spokes person, and they don't care because they just want to win. Right, it’s beyond simple. And human feelings let something sooo simple turn into such a traumatic chaotic issue. For one, ignorant parents letting their 6 year old kids parent them. This week the kid said, I don’t want to be a boy anymore, and then little Michael starts crying, then mom takes him to a dumb psychologist who wants to make a name for himself, and gives it some weird diagnosis. And it goes downhill from there. And society has to pay the expenses for expensive hormones and surgeries, etc. And we’re the blame if they want to commit suicide, because we believe in biology, over their personal feelings against science and what they want to see in the mirror!👎🏽

Who watches womens sports anyway. Why watch that when you could watch the best athletes compete which are men. Womens sports like the WNBA only exists because the NBA gives them money since the wnba loses $10 million a year. If anything transgenders in womens sports makes it more exciting. Any womens sports that does not make money & leeches of the male leagues to survive should just be abolished.

@TNTkeynine I don't know your definition of gender and I have never heard the term gender sports...so I guess I have never cared about gender sports. I'm really not sure what that is. I do, however, care about same-sex sports. I watch women's sports in the Olympics every couple of years. Also, the women in my family taught me to care about women's rights my entire life.

On the other hand , I think we know why women who transgender to "men" don't compete in men's sports.

I am glad this ruling has finally been taken however when referring to Caster Semenya, it is not her fault she was BORN with naturally high testosterone levels! That's the difference between a TRANS and a natural BORN person with naturally high testosterone levels! No operation was needed for Caster Semenya to acquire naturally high testosterone levels and she should be allowed to complete AS IS!

Caster is male. He has 5-ARD which is a DSD that only affects males. Sympathy for him but he shouldn't be allowed to compete against women.

I'm with Richard Dawkins on this one. When it comes to athletics (as opposed to a mental activity, like academics), your biology (sex) is what matters, not your psychology (gender). It's nice to see that these sports leagues, whose rules are determined by EXPERTS, are making well-informed decisions.

@@synchronium24 Why would you think gender identity exists? Have you read who is behind this theory? Have you read on Dr Money the founder of gender identity? He was a child sexual abuser who drove his two test subjects (children) into developing into mentally unstable adults who eventually committed suicide. He alone was responsible for their deaths and sexually abuse a LOT more than these two test subjects. It was a failed experiment that everyone holds up as fact.

As a woman, to live in a world where trans-women argue that their rights trump my fellow woman’s right’s is absolutely devastating. I’m so grateful that level heade people are recognizing that women’s right’s are in danger in this world. Unless you know how it feels to go to work, and keeping a straight face while bleeding for seven days, I’m sorry, but we are not competing on the same terms.

Exactly sports is a merit based system inherently. If you can run 100 m the fastest congratulations you deserve a reward. Give a reward to the slowest person all of a sudden they stop trying and just hope they will win the lottery. Disney only cares for the immediate children. I need the people who advocate that trans women are women to define what a woman is first. Then I’ll define what transgender is.

Having compassion for someone that truly struggles about who they are doesn't mean that I will lie. Not accepting truth can be unbelievably difficult, so I have no mean/cruel intension as I tell the truth - - we have no control over our gender, surgery and injections can't control truth.

Finally! Glad were moving in the right direction. Should have never been an issue in the first place. A naturally born woman is different from a transgender! Genetically and physically. You can can change your genitals but your bones and innate strength is different.

This is so awesome!!!!!!! People are finally had enough of these guys who lose against men so they try and ruin women's sports by crossing over. I applaud women for finally standing up for your sports. Real women work hard to get to a certain level. It should not be taken away because these guys can't compete and win against men.

I recently read a news article, in the Epoch Times, about a young lady who has been devastated by transgender men. At the age five, she became enamored with running. That was her life. As a top runner in high school, she was all set to receive a collage scholarship, that was until transgender males entered her sport. There was no way that she could compete. The politically correct politicians were all for transgenders and would do nothing to correct this travesty

It’s so unfair for naturally born women to compete with them. I don’t know what people are thinking nowadays. But this is a good step to the right direction. I’m just happy for all women. Pageantry should be like this as well.

This shouldn’t have even happened in the first place. Even babies have different size expectations according to CDC depending if they are a boy or a girl. For the defenders of “it doesn’t matter” there are indeed small biys and big girls but that’s why they are divided in percentiles. The 99th percentile boy is bigger than the 99th percentile girl for the fact that they are different genders

It's not a trans lifestyle issue, it's a biologically unfair physical issue. Geez how how hard is that to understand. If a sub-group of people want to compete then start a separate organization like the Special Olympics. I'd have thought most athletes would want fair competition. How ya like it now Rachel McKinnon? The overwhelming majority disagree with you and now you won't be able to take advantage. I hope they go back and right the wrong and award the biological women the medals they rightly won .

Still, it's not only about transgender, it's about elite intersex athletes who have both male and female sex characteristics and have been called girls or women since they day they were born. You're saying to someone like Christine Mboma or Castor Semenya who have Olympic medals, that they should compete in a special ghetto because of the way they were born.

Choose from among the literally hundreds of other competitive things you can do without cheating or oppressing women. As a heavyweight adult, I can't compete in kid's karate tournaments even if I identify as being 10 years old. Plus they'd send me back to 6th grade or so if that's the case.

Semenya was not BORN a female. If she was then there would be no debate about her gender and she won't have high levels of testosterone. Intersex had been called many different names over the years but the underlying concept is that the person can not be readily defined as a male or female because the the external genitalia (and sometimes also the internal sex organs) appear ambiguous. There is a well known medical condition (CAH) that causes females to produce excess testosterone and it is life threatening and requires treatment

It is the drug users that also questionable but they still manage to slip through. I get if it is biological. That is just not right to exclude someone who was born the way they are or if there but still want to do sports. But how could someone suppress hormones without drugs? Maybe they should make a drug category in sports. Do all the drugs at your own risk.

They just need their own category and you set your own bar that other trans gender compete against. Whether you compete alone or in numbers sets the record score. I don’t see the big deal in having a trans category. Or is because they don’t want to compete against other trans. Why? Because they know I won’t win if I compete against another ‘male’ but I will if I compete against biological women.

Needs to happen on NCAA, high school and junior highs as well.

There's a video of a girl saying something like " Do you really believe someone would transition into female just to win against other women in sports?" And while I know mayority of trans athletes won't do it for that, for me the answer is yes, some people would do ANYTHING to win a competition, no matter what gender, race or whatever. Some people lack sportsmanship and morals too. And being trans doesn't just magically turn you into an ethically correct individual, just like being cis doesn't either.

Yeah! Traditionally, determining the sex or gender of someone never was a complicated matter. An old, illiterate midwife somewhere at a remote village easily did that,🙄

This has only happened due to public outcry. They happily awarded Lia Thomas the medals before everyone got upset about it.
