I do like John Wayne but------- Tom plays the best western of anyone out there, Quigley Down Under The Sackets, Monte Walsh, Crossfire Trail, Last Stand at Sable River, Shadow Riders he has an aire about him and he doesn't always win but gets his butt kicked as anyone would. Would like to see him make some more before he gets too old. Most of the afore mentioned I consider classics , with nothing better out there ! He's one of those who can just be himself and it makes a great movie. GO Tom !

Way to be "Roy"! Truly love the leather rig/gear in Quigley. Jesse Stone series is truly great filming, long descriptive scene's that allow an actors qualities to shine, great story line too. Filming and sound very good just the same...its a quality package that apparently the Hollywood higher ups fail to see fit to publish, regardless of the income they might not fully see. Tom, you are best doing westerns...like he said "No one sits a saddle like Monte Walsh" is true in reality. America and the globe could use a lot more westerns vs. the crap Hollywood produces in quantity. Seems as though the standards in acting and outcome have been lowered to fit the unskilled actors, directors and producers in this current age.

Thomas William "Tom" Selleck (born January 29, 1945) age 71. He was best known for his starring role as the Hawaii-based private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988). He also plays Police Chief Jesse Stone in a series of made-for-TV movies based on Robert B. Parker novels. Since 2010, he has also been a primary cast member as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan in the drama Blue Bloods on CBS. Selleck has appeared in more than 50 film and television roles since Magnum, P.I., including Three Men and a Baby, Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. Selleck also appeared as Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and as A.J. Cooper on the TV series Las Vegas. Selleck was born in Detroit, Michigan and wasn't just an actor. He served in the United States Army between 1967-1973 and earned the rank of Sergeant. He also served in the Army National Guard, California and 1st Battalion, 160th Infantry. He received the awards of California National Guard Federal Service Ribbon, California State Service Ribbon, California Drill Attendance Ribbon. He is one of my favorite actors! He is a supporter of the second amendment. Very smart and is one of the most humble people you'll ever have the pleasure of knowing. He won't forget your name and he will go out of his way to build you up at ever opportunity he gets.

John Wayne, Ben Johnson, Buck Taylor, Sam Elliott and of course Tom Selleck are the best in the Western genre. You could add also, Ken Curtis, Robert Duvall, Kevin Costner and Thomas Hayden Church as well. We sure could use more westerns in this day and age.

Ya, it would be nice to see him act again besides beying on "Blue Bloods" where all he does is frown. He's got that frown down pat.

He feels the same as I do about guns in the wrong era it gets irritating watching a movie about the civil war for example and some guy pulls out a 1873 colt, you would think the actors or the armorer would say something

Being a reenactor has ruined a lot of otherwise good movies for me. I tend to pick appart there accuracy.

Ok, I know he's an actor. which means he's good at being something he's not. But Tom Selleck has always struck me as Just A Nice Guy. Someone you'd like to hang with and call A Friend.

Didn't Tom Selleck used to spend quite a bit of time in a house on Lake Sebago, Maine in the 1978/79 period ? I think he also had friends in Sandy Spring , Maryland.

Absolutely. I liked Mr Ford. But I do think Mr Sellak would have brought something more to that movie. I don t know what. It would be a close call no dought.

Love Quigley. As for Monte Walsh I view the Lee Marvin film as the real version.

I understand completely the need for a horse over 16 hands. I recently lost my gilding, Money Man Bill, son of Man In The Money, grandson on Dash For Cash, who was called Cash because he looked just like his grandpa. He stood 16.3, and was the smartest and smoothest horse I’ve ever seen. He was 31 years old. My dad put me in a saddle on a Quarter Horse when I was 2 years old, that was 66 years ago. I do wish Tom would make another western before he sunset. I own every one he’s made, plus all of his Jesse Stone movies.
