FAIR USE**
Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.
Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing.
Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
FAIR USE DEFINITION:
(Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use)
Fair use is a doctrine in the United States copyright law that allows limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders, such as for commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching or scholarship. It provides for the legal, non-licensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author’s work under a four-factor balancing test. The term “fair use” originated in the United States. A similar principle, fair dealing, exists in some other common law jurisdictions. Civil law jurisdictions have other limitations and exceptions to copyright.
U.S. COPYRIGHT OFFICE- FAIR USE DEFINITION
(Source: www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html)
One of the rights accorded to the owner of copyright is the right to reproduce or to authorize others to reproduce the work in copies or phonorecords. This right is subject to certain limitations found in sections 107 through 118 of the copyright law (title 17, U.S. Code). One of the more important limitations is the doctrine of “fair use”. The doctrine of fair use has developed through a substantial number of court decisions over the years and has been codified in section 107 of the copyright law.
Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.

IMO on qualified immunity: There are times for a LEO to park illegally or break the laws in hot pursuit, etc but that’s about it! Same for prosecutors that withhold evidence that would exonerate someone! Or anyone especially including LEOs that lie on the stand, steal ir withhold evidence including video and Judges & especially politicians need to be held accountable for crimes also.

We as a whole need to do something about bad policing! I just served jury duty on a 3 week trial.. had a bakersfield California sheriff admit ( his original testimony on trial was not correct) and admitted to intimidation to coerce his a person to do do what he wanted under threat.. I call it lying , and abuse of power, Nothing happened to the officer, but a average citizen would be in jail

The sheriff's first day testimony was they located the defendant in the apartment complex parking lot ( which was the place of incident) and found stolen items sitting in the front seat of the defendants car. It was cash and a cellphone. On the 3rd day the defense called the officer again after he had a chance to watch his body cam footage. Stated that his original testimony was "incorrect" the defendant was not in the parking lot, they went looking for him, found him at his parents house and told the defendant that if he didn't provide cash and a cell phone he would be violating probation and be arrested. The defendant was scared and just did everything the tyrant cop said, he gave his personal cellphone and cash from his pocket and still ended up in jail for probation violation The jury acquitted him, but he had been in jail for over 6 months for violating probation which was never proven. It was a really sad case. They stacked up 17 felonies on this kid that would have sent him to prison for years. Yet there was no evidence or proof that he had done any of the things he was accused of. Once the sheriff had to tell the real story, none of his testimony had been accurate, it made all of their accusations unbelievable and he lost credibility with the jury. But it's bakersfield the only city where the lead sheriff is also the coroner. Shoot first ask questions later. Bad policing here is comon Have you ever seen KILLING COUNTY on Hulu? A whole documentary on Bakersfield PD and Kern County Sheriff's dept

All these multimillion dollar buildings are built by the people, tax payers money , the peoples money, we put persons into these buildings so they can look after our affairs, somewhere a long the line this has become blurred, the police the judges and the council members and all associated employees, are placed there by us, the only power they have is when someone is disorderly or committs an offence, but outside this, we can come and go and walk around anywhere as we like, we can ask questions and we can make sure all these people are doing their job correctly, over the years, we as the people have not questioned those employed by us, over time because we have let them go unchecked, they are confused as to who is truly their boss. Now through these cop watchers and auditors with the help of social media , we are educating those in government, and it actually seems to be working
