The problem is that cops aren't afraid of civil suits because they're never reprimanded by their department, and the taxpayers are punished if they lose the lawsuit, not the cop.

Exactly they don’t have to be like that but they enjoy being that way. People act like if they admit the truth about these constant abuses they will be labeled anti law and order. What we are witnessing is years of deliberate grooming via training and attitude from top down. When cops treat people like they are some form of disease they have to immediately arrest and isolate they don’t have the capacity to be constitutionally empowered peace officers.

@Rice Krispies Supper Club, you're calling the man "drama queen." What for? Can't your brain process the way of the officer's way of talking with a "suspect"? He unlocked the car in front of her and went to get the documents so he could prove it was his car, and she, being on a power trip, decided to cuff him to feel important. Sure he could've handled the situation more professionally but how would you react if something like this happened to you? I got disgusted by just watching her acting and talking like this. There's no need to protect that officer's behavior.

@@planetrockford you also shouldn’t have a power trip on a random civilian the cop was clearly blowing her lid over something that should be well under her control. But now you have 3 cops all “investigating” a guy openeing his car lol. Far more important things to be done. An having a position of power means you should always be the one to try to deescalate a situation not look for a reason to abuse it that responsiblity doesn’t fall on the civilian but it often does.

They won't, this is exactly the way they want cops treating us. They want to treat us all like criminals and talk to us condescendingly like we don't understand basic English. This is why they have qualified immunity and never hold cops accountable so that they aren't afraid to blatantly break our rights. Just firing these tyrant cops isn't going to do anything because they are just going to replace her with another tyrant. If we want real change, we need reform starting at very top with the judges in the supreme court trickling down to the judges and prosecutors in each state. This is the only way this type of treatment from police will stop.

The key to being a repsected and trusted public servant is the ability to de-escalate a situation, not instigate it. Her demeanor clearly shows that she's not mentally fit to be a police officer. Just by her attitude that could've went sideways real fast. I've seen a lot of videos where the suspects were clearly wrong. In this case, this "officer" was going out of her way to insite this man to do something stupid, which thank God he didn't, because she's not worth it.

She escalated the contact from the beginning, and tried saying he refused to cooperate, when that's a total, outright lie, to try and justify her poor attitud and unprofessional behavior! Notice that she states he wasn't cooperating, AFTER OTHER OFFICERS ARRIVED, in an effort to convince them that he was the hostile, uncooperative one! I really hope he filed a complaint! It's cops like her, that get innocent citizens hurt or killed, because of lies told about being uncooperative, etc. She's a danger to the community, because she thinks that being rude, and escalating a contact, then lying about it, is making her look tough. All it does is make her look like a liar, who unlawfully put that man in handcuffs! Then, when it was proven the car was his, she escalates further, by insisting on staying there, instead of walking away, to find real criminals, like the one she sees in the mirror! She is pushing his buttons to try to get him to say or do something, that she could arrest him for. That makes her dangerous!
