These Mini Dice Vaults are ADORABLE (they're not for dice)

In S9E52 of Wyrm Lyfe, Crazy Ed cannot stop prototyping and this time he's brought some tiny vaults to MA but they're definitely not meant to hold dice.

Watching that first one go into Bobby's pocket, thinking "If it barely works in his pockets, it won't fit in ANY women's pockets" - make sure you're testing fit in more than just the clothes of your all-male marketing team! Check the fit with women's pants and jackets too.

Same here - when he whipped out the 4 slot one, reminded me of some of the cases I used to use for carrying stuff like pastels and charcoals around for on location work... having it fully carved out, instead of 4 notches with a silicon liner would make it insanely nice - and would match my portable easel and large supply case as well... which are both brass and wood

Honestly, you should probably get ahold of some old cigarette cases from the 60's to compare the 'master-J' ones to. Those guys spent decades refining the designs of those things for the fanciest of peoples, when ciggies were a little less standardized as well and could come in a variety of sizes. Might as well take a look at what they came up with just to see if any of it could translate over.

I'm on the exact same page. I hate weed and cigarettes but the cases and tools are neat. The entire first half of the video I was thinking if they just go wider then the thickness doesn't really matter as much. I think people are cool with having slightly bigger stuff in their pocket if it's the size of something you would clutch. Plus, I really think having the lighter is a necessity, but I'm just guessing.

I don't smoke joints, but there is a huge market for this sort of thing. 2 joints and a standard lighter would be just the right size. I have two wooden phone cases from Kerf case, and you'd be surprised how durable thin wood can be. I'm not so sure about the phallic cylinder for a single joint, but I'm open to the process. So far, my top vote goes to the flat multi-joint case.

Maybe a design where you make them as two separate pieces but you have a connecting point where the palm would be to bring both pieces together as one unit (for example how Bobby was sliding it open in his hand was already something like that.) and the dice vault magnet would be at the end to seal and some security. I could see people losing the top as they move it in and out of pockets without looking, especially if its someone edc. That muscle memory and going quick might leave the lid behind.

Using a lid of a different material, with a brass top would be killer for customization. You could easily embed initials or the logo into the brass with a simple, repeatable jig you hammer in once. Also if you do one side rounded, one side flat, it could be pretty unique. You could basically have a skinny interpretation of the logo, and it would sit really well in the pocket with the rounded side down, and the flat side being easier to grab out of the pocket.

Hell to the yes! As a regular adventure toker id love one of the larger ciggarette case style ones where you could have a lighter and like 2 or 3 nice raw cones in 🤙

Gotta say - maybe you guys want to put the drug stuff into a sub channel or similar? I show my kids these videos to intro them to an organic design process - see if their interests lie that way - would a design degree or biz degree interest them. Maybe a “wyrmwood after dark” kind of thing? :). Not a big deal - but you should always be mindful of your consumers. Not to be a buzzkill (literally) just wanted to raise a point.

A metalic topper and interior liner (with grooves rather than dividers) may look very nice, and feel just that more reminiscent of old cigarette cases. Although the interior liner may be impractical to stream line (unless Todrin could offer a solution). Not a big smoker but I appreciate quality accessories and looking forward to witnessing Jason's prototype

I wouldn't round the part that is supposed to go against the leg too much. If you do it lowers the surface area that is against you're leg. So even if it's thinner it still might press more because it's got a lower surface area with more pressure

Have you considered getting a humidor to stress test new products in? You can drop them in a high humidity environment for 2-3 weeks and see how badly the products cup. Also, on shape, maybe check out glasses cases for some inspiration on how to pocket store irregularly shaped objects.

I don't carry joints around but I could definitely store refill inks or a little sewing kit.

No offense Jason but fuck a rounded bottom. If your joint is not packed tightly and you set down a holder with a rounded bottom, it will fall over and spill all of your weed. Not good!! But the brass/whatever material tops for every vault?? Hell yes that sounds amazing. Please do that. Also these really do need to be airtight. I can't confidently walk around with anything weed related if i don't know that it will stay un-odorous when I'm not smoking it. That's why I use mason jars for everything. They keep all the smell in really well. I'd love to have something smaller that is also airtight and not smelly

I wonder if they have addressed this with Kickstarter reps or not yet. Bobby still is talking about running a KS, but they have policies against drug related products in their guidelines, regardless of legalization.

What about doing a wood box with a lid. Similar dimensions but the the top is hinged like a pet dispenser or magnets and you have much more room (the length of rather than height) for screws. Idk if that makes sense but it opens on the short side

could we ever get something that would fit in that tiny 5th pocket pants can have? like just enough for like 2 - 3 of those raw pre made cones. if i could also still fit a standard bic in the pocket that would be so money.
