I thought the same thing...they should call Frank. The legal aspects of selling 'smoking accessories' can be tricky and vary by state. Where I live, for example, selling "tobacco products" is legal but "marijuana paraphernalia" is not. Most shops have a posted list of forbidden works that cause an immediate refusal of sale, because if either the buyer or seller calls a water pipe a 'bong', then it becomes a crime.

Ye, if you plan on taking this internationally, you want to be very specific with branding it as something other than explicitly for weed. You can say it's for "home-rolled tobacco" and that's fine, but don't *ever* go beyond that implication if you want to sell internationally. That's basically how they skirt the laws in most places, market it for "tobacco" use and not marijuana use, despite everyone knowing clearly what it is for.

Leviation or Levitate

Elevation sounds like an Apprentice team name to my ears - and it's already over used within the weed market. It's also the name of the famous first tribal operated weed store. Seems like there's a lot of wood and plant terminology you can use without saying wood: Crown, Canopy, Bud, Leaf etc Bring together two of them: Crownleaf - with a really tight laurel wreath based logo maybe? Flipping the Leaf crown idea - but leading with crown because this is some top notch quality, just like what you're going to roll inside it

I’ve never seen “cloud” as part of any weed branding; that would be a good thing to incorporate. It’s not “basic” but it ties in with weed branding.

@@eventingirl001 that was kinda my thoughts. Everyone uses the leaf or the bud. But everyone's seen the "cloud" of smoke. Plus it's subtle enough it doesn't just scream weed for all those anti weed people. And because it's not exclusive to weed it also could allow [at least some] products to be picked up by traditional tobacco smokers.

@@lisliaer7999 in my other comment I had thought something like Druid Craft or something that relates to the company history and not the brand “Wyrmwood”. The company works out of an old silver factory/foundry, Silverwood Accessories sound neutral enough relates back to the “company history” without being under the Wyrmwood name.

May I suggest calling the offshoot 'Greenwood' as a subtle inspiration to the original and the new direction it will take? "Handmade craftsmanship for your handmade craftsmanship"

It's good, but too generic in the sense that many companies in the weed industry are already using it in some variant.

New Name: Torchlight or Torchlite Logo: Could be as simple as an icon of a dungeon wall torch with small wisps of smoke at the top with a minimalist asthetic.

Nice it defiantly need to be a two “Part” name. Wyrm-Wood, Wyrm-lyfe. If fits with the sound of the other names so something like Torchlight would work perfectly. It would be nice to have wood or smoke in the name, but that might be just a little to on the nose Also I love the skidding closure and would defiantly use a case like that for mini dice.

The name of the new company should be "Absinthe" which is another name for wormwood, but rather it emphasizes the connotation with drugs without changing what would be a sleek, adult, high quality product. Your branding would be Wyrmood/Absinthe Edit: logo would be a shield with an absinthe leaf/sword. Been a fan since I got my Tak board and listening to job offers ✌️

I like Canopy or something like it. "In biology, the canopy is the aboveground portion of a plant cropping or crop, formed by the collection of individual plant crowns. In forest ecology, canopy also refers to the upper layer or habitat zone, formed by mature tree crowns and including other biological organisms."

This product will help users “avoid blunt trauma”. You had BETTER use that. ‘Elevation’ sounds pretty good for a company name.

Two ideas: High Branch or Canopy (woodworking) Another option would be to make a brand that can incorporate multiple miscellaneous projects that don't fall under the typical Wyrmwood branding. That way if another interesting idea would come up, that didn't fit into either of these aforementioned brandings, you wouldn't have to branch off another time.

Sounds like you wanted to call the brand "Elevation"

Honestly " Debauchery " isnt that bad of a name for a high end weed accessories company. I think having something small like the shield in the logo or something to tie to WW would help the new brand. As it shows the products are backed by master craftsmen that already make other high end items. Not just another startup that may or may not fulfill your orders.

@@krazylegswp you dont want to do wierd spelling when it comes to names. Wyrm is the proper spelling of the word and everyone knows (at least their target audiance) how to spell it. By using a wierd spelling of green such as gruene you are going to have to increase costs in keywords maerketing and urls purchased to prevent competetors form steealing traffic. and can just cause confusion.

@@flamepulse42 in a way i can agree because of the unusual spelling it could be slightly more obscure to find but the many derivatives of gruene greene etc. are valid spellings of the word with roots in other languages and names which is on brand for the parent company and the intended scope of the new company wyrm is an obscure term in modern englinsh and their current popularity is far reaching it would stand to reason a similar name that is on brand would be just as recognizeable

…but…. I want a teeny tiny dice vault too… as long as it fits a set of 7 mini dice I’m good with it and would buy a bunch as gifts.

I really like the sound of Elevation, of course if it's not already registered. I'm with Ian, brands should be separated so they have room to grow without elbowing one another. Wyrmlyfe being able to communicate the works of both companies is something that needs further conversation. For the audience that has been here for a while there's no problem, they will know how to differentiate both companies apart. Thw newcomers will have troubles with that and could be detrimental.

I'd keep a fantasy theme so that there's organic, but indirect, cross-pollination between the two companies. Separate and distinct brands but with the same flavor, of which we know you guys already do very well. Something like "Apothecary's Grove", or less on the nose like "Atelier" where it's a word that's more commonly used in fantasy, but just synonymous to "workshop" pretty much (although Atelier also means "chip of wood" in French or some shit iirc, fitting!).

You guys really opened up a ‘Cannawyrms’ with this one.. I’ll see myself out.

I actually like the idea of using the 'joint vault' for a mini polyset holder. Inadvertent bonus usage!

You should name it “Doug’s Trunk”. So whenever Wyrmwood is at an expo and someone asks about weed accessories, you can say “it’s only available at Doug’s Trunk”. (Meet me around the corner)

Not a business man, but I wouldn't be surprised if they split Wyrmwood into a R&D/Sales company and then create a production company with the other half. This way you have 3 companies: Wyrmwood (R&D/sales of gaming products) Wyrmweed (R&D/sales of weed products - for lack of a better name) Wyrmwood Crafts (production - for lack of a better name). I'd imagine this would provide better protection for all three companies if one company gets sued or goes bankrupt. The loss of the machines/property would be catastrophic to both sales companies. Additionally, if demand dries up for either Wyrmweed or Wyrmwood then the production company could source contract work for themselves until demand increases once again.

@@JacobHanson In my mind the core of their brand is the Prophecy table. The fact it exists as a $15k+ heirloom table supports their sales of the high-end gaming products. Very few people can afford a table like that, but it being out there lets people feel like they're buying a bespoke luxury gaming accessory when they splurge and spend $200 on a dice tray. I think it's weird that I've never seen this mentioned on Wyrmlife, so maybe this isn't how the company sees this. I was skeptical of the MGT when it came around because mass produced flat packed furniture is antithetical to a "luxury" brand (and it was a huge hit), so maybe I'm wrong about my gut on this thing too. I just know I wouldn't be buying heirloom furniture in a head shop. I smoke occassionally too so I'm not just being biased here but I feel like this direction "cheapens" the brand and it's been headed that way a while. I also doubt Prophecy tables are what actually pay the bills over there. I'd just be wary of products that cheapen the feel of that table because it supports the luxury feel of dice trays and accessories (which I assume are the actual money makers). I think Jason understands this and Doug doesn't care, which is interesting because I think ultimately it's gotta come down to what actually sells for them and keeps the lights on.

Honestly, yeah I wouldn’t have looked into Wyrmwood products. I’ve gotten my deck boxes and towers and all that over the year because I enjoy that artisan craftsmanship with a long lasting quality.

One word. Airtight. That is the single most important quality for these weed storage units. If i can smell weed from across the room when this little guy has a j in it, it does not do the 1 thing I need it to do. I know wood is porous and inherently very smelly but please. This is the MAIN DESIGN FEATURE your weed products HAVE TO HAVE

Elevation is such a good fucking name. As my username suggests, I'm highly 😏 interested in the whole idea of wyrmweed accessories! I feel like whatever yall decide to do, the shield HAS to stay. It's pivotal to the wyrmwood philosophy of assuring quality, and what's more assuring than a shield. gotta protect the brand

I'm surprised no one in the video went with WeedWyrm, so the Wyrmlings would still work. Oh and by the way, you probably should open a branch in Netherlands for this brand

For names, things could go a lot of ways. Bobby's World, Debauchery, and Elevation are good options IMO. New ideas; Peak Weed (Like mountain peak, similar to the elevation idea), Smoke Crafters, High Tide, etc.

this comment maybe lost in this sea of comments, but I remember a while ago a company made an automatic grinder that drops the content into a paper cone, in the add they keep claiming is for making cigar shape "incense" sticks for when you need to get one of those on the road, by blending dry herbs into it. As cheeky as it was it really was cleaver, maybe you can announced like that? A carry on for your incense blunts?

Seeing a few comments for Elevation. While I like the idea of it, like "Ah, cause you get high, clever" the name feels a bit tech-bro-y. Maybe we could keep that theme but go in a different direction that sort of relates to the roots of the company? Say like, Timberline, or Treeline or something similar? You know, relate the wood to the height? Could also go with the "Wyrm" part and call it dragon's breath/smoke or pipeweed or something, keep the fantasy angle.

I would call it Ascension. That sounds way more High End than Elevation. Also Elevation is too spot on the nose. Ascension: to rise to a higher point, rank, or degree; proceed from an inferior to a superior degree or level: to ascend to the presidency. So I think Ascension fits extremely well.

So maybe a corporate restructure is in the cards here of creating a parent company seperate from Wyrmwood entirely that Wyrmwood, Wormlyfe, Elevation or whatever you guys brand as can all be under the umbrella of. My submission; Elder Wrym, the parent company of all the different wyrm products and business ventures but legally seperate entities.

Weedwood, of course. Seriously though, Elevation immediately struck me as understated and classy “high”-related products. Do it.

The name really depends on the “vision” of the brand. You obviously want something high quality but alot of times weed brands will do something with green or leaf in the branding. Greenwood of the top of my head is very generic and rolls off the tongue but would it sound too similar or connected to WW? Your not connecting it to gaming but I always liked that you had Druid as a title within the company and it’s not exclusively a DND thing. Maybe The branding could be “Druid Craft” or you could have something completely out there and doesn’t necessarily associate with those common words of “green, leaf, wood, etc.” for the brand. The current building used to be a Silver factory, if I remember correctly from Wyrmlife, maybe work that into the name??? Silverwood Smoking accessories has a good ring to it; it’s outside of the Wyrmwood brand but still connected to the story of Wyrmwood, Wyrmlife, etc.

You should call the company "Mysty Step"

One reason you may NOT want to crosspollinate, your BANK. You see it now in Massachusetts, even with pot being legalized, most banks won't even touch weed/weed related businesses. Having an intentional affiliation with a pot product business and wrymwood could cause issues. You should be able to use the same cheeky model as the "tobacco water pipe" but if you vision of the brand is to really embrace the weed aspect, it's something to consider.

New brand could be something like "Smoking Dragon" or "Hoard's Smoke"

You know you may “pollute” your wyrmwood brand. Like if you ever have to go out for financing and they find out your a weed accessories company that might hurt you. Big issue with weed and weed related businesses in Wa when it went legal - no bank would work with the new companies. Split it off entirely - the two companies should never touch. Even give the new companies Dougs’s home address. Jason is the most professional one on the whole team.

They aren't selling weed, just shaped accessories. There have been places legally selling bongs and rollers for literally decades and calling them cigarette items and do not get in trouble

Levitate or levitation. It also can mean getting high but is also a spell in RPGs, so has a nod to the gaming accessories you started with. Elevation could also be used with EDC because it will elevate your life (in a lame non marketing thought process).

Think of it like Lexus and Toyota, Volkswagen and Audi, GMC and Chevy, etc. Having another brand within the family of the company is very common, and all those brands have their own websites, social media and locations for sales. Usually made in the same production facilities as well.

ESA: Elevation Smoking Accessories. "High quality supplies to supply quality highs"

Wyrmwood and Wyrmlife should be proud to present to the public Fire Trails®. Craftsman quality wooden accessories for the modern participant.

Company Name: Twisted Apothecary. The logo could be a shield but made of twisted branches instead of a plain black line with a beaker inside. Calls out to the Wyrmwood roots (see what I did there?) and sounds somewhat old-time. Sell those as mini dice vaults in states where the public sale of 420 products isn't allowed (sort of like shipping knives isn't legal in some states) and as blunt vaults in 420-friendly states.

Will this new company/brand be exclusively selling products focused around getting high or do you ever see it branching out a bit? If you see yourself selling more than just weed oriented products, I'd consider choosing a name that can encompass and represent your vision for the future of the brand more than just getting high with names like Elevation. Sorry I've got no suggestions though, just my two cents.

Wood, in the air, fantasy setting with wyrms. Puts me in mind of sky pirates for some reason. "Fine cargo accessories". Zepplins, blimps, and dirigibles. Maybe a mock up commercial of the "new brand" trying to cross the "wyrmwood" to deliver it's "fine cargo"? I wonder if "Skywood" is available?

For the logo, you gotta keep the shield outline, just with something besides a tree. That shield outline is your unifying aesthetic. The Gap model of linking between multiple different sites is also a good idea. For a name, you might consider Athelas. It's a healing herb from Tolkien's works, also referred to as Kingsfoil. I think it conveys the luxury/high-end nature of your products, while also being concretely associated with...you know...herb.

I have no dog in this fight, not having use for these products. But I do like coming up with brand name thoughts. First idea that came to mind was “Timber Crown [accessories]” It’s a play on the highest points on a tree as well as the highest area in which they grow- the Crown and the Timberline respectively. And although having a fully new logo may be best, having the shield with a treetop with a hidden crown (similar to the hidden sword) might work.

What ever happen to that time Jason said the next big thing was EDC? The weed vault definitely fits within that. I’m not a weed guy but I love the EDC opportunity of the weed vault. Names: Fyrewood, Wood & Stone, High Class, Blunt Edge, Entertainment 420, Grounded, Weedom, Bear Stem, Green Pipe, Dragon Grass, Wyvern Smoke, Leafy Greens, LitWit

Wyrmwood gaming sell gaming related products, while I am not a weed person this feels like an every day life product so branding it off this show feels just right so Wyrm lyfe feels good to me and can be for anything you guys make that is of every days use. I think those fully on board with the company will stick through the evolution of the company and its brands so why not go all in with this branch of the brand.

Wyrmweed makes the most sense. I am your target audience but I already own what you’re selling. I was excited to buy it again but with the wyrmwood logo. I see that making the best accessories possible is the goal of the new company but you should definitely allude to Wyrmwood. I love the idea of calling that joint holder a mini dice vault. I don’t own a mini dice vault. I own too many joint holders.

I think making a solid line of MJ products from you guys will blow up in North America, you also have to remember that you have a Canadian market that has legalized weed for recreational use and I have to say, the weed market is doing great and people would definitely buy good quality products like what you just showed here as well as branching out into things like high quality wooden pipes, rollers, paper holders, etc. there is so much your company could do! Elevation is also an excellent name!

You should call it Critical Hit. You're starting with a mini dice vault joint holder. The company named itself.

WyrmExpanse Expanse envisions outward growth in many directions, rather than just upward growth. Wyrm on the Front-end removes conflict with other "Expanse" companies while linking it with the mothership brand.

Anything too on the nose with high/smoke/weed/pipe/joint should be out. I think something along the lines of Elevation is good, it sounds almost classy, but not too pretentious, however I worry that it's a step too far from the name Wyrmwood, which might make the connection a bit confusing. I think something that touches on wood in some way, whether actually having the word wood in the name or a reference to wood in some way is the right balance. Off the dome, here are some ideas: Branchwood Bent Branch (another commenter mentioned Broken Branch, which I thought was fun) Cherrywood (maybe too on the nose cause of the reference that the bowl/joint is "cherry") Greenwood Treeline Forestwood

Possible suggestion for your legal issues. Carry mini-dice sets, or make a pencil blank that fits the form factor of that container and sell it as a bundle or accessory either for the mini-dice or the mini pencil. None of stripe's business how many people buy it separate.
