The reason why Mattel's doing this is because they will lose the toy rights to the franchise in 2023. Back in the 90s, they considered Masters of the Universe a dead brand, so they sold it off. For years, Mattel could continue to do stuff so long as they pay a license fee to the current owners of the IP, Universal. When 2023 comes, they have no idea if Universal will continue to work with them for the merchandise or if they'll license it out to a different company, so they'll trying to produce as much product as possible in the limited time remaining.

that actually makes a lot of sense yeah; make the most bang out of their buck and sell as much merch while they're at it while they still got the time for it, and how else can you do that with He-Man than another Netflix animated series? All of it's also kinda ripe for adding new characters or updates to current ones to justify making more action figure sets hehe!

One show for adults. The other for kids.

Both look like they'll be shit

From what I can tell they made two versions, one meant for the adult fans which is much more faithful to the original series (yeah whatever your thoughts on Revelations, it is very much faithful to the original series, terrible designs, cheesy puns and all) and one for a new younger audience, which would be far more experimental and change up the story and characters more. One safe show that wouldn’t piss off the old fans, and one bold new show that takes a wildly different direction.

Actually considering how he sounds, its more like Adam is voiced by Ben 10 from Alien Force. Honestly this version looks cool, it reminds me of olf cartoons on Jetex like Dragon Booster and Get Ed and a few other I'm drawing blanks on the names of.
