Yeah but... I'm not even a parent and I can imagine I'd feel like that if someone abused my child. I've been in horrible relationships where I learned it was possible to be hurt without ever being physically touched, and I wouldn't want anybody to go through that, let alone my family.

The "wife makes husband unhappy" trope is awful, and the worse part is that strangers think it's appropriate to joke about when you're getting married. When my wife and I were getting married, our wedding coordinator, ON OUR WEDDING DAY, made a ball and chain joke, and it really pissed me off. If my wife made me feel that way we wouldn't be getting married and spending a bunch of money at your venue. I love my wife, and I hated our wedding coordinator. I just want to reiterate, I love my wife, she isn't a ball and chain, and on the rare occasion that we do fight she doesn't "win", we have a conversation and address the issue. (Or we just eat because one of us was hangry...)

This joke is such nonsense. If you don't want to get married you don't have to. If your marriage isn't working, divorce is there for you. People get married on purpose, they often spend thousands of dollars, they invite the most important people in their lives to come watch it happen. I expect some Boomer Humor on my wedding day from a couple immediate family members over 70, but why somebody in the wedding industry would think this is an appropriate joke to make at all, let alone on your wedding day, is beyond me.

Last year i tried to broke up with my girlfriend, but she said "no", so we're still together. But that's because we're both women, understand each other completely and are too cozy having a partner that supports and cares for us.

The elementary school reminds me of my school. At my school, a bunch of the teachers have rainbow stickers with the words "Love is Love" on them. They have them on there name cards, there desks, etc. I think that is really awesome. 👍👍

I don't know why but my parents were concerned about me because I preferred to play with boys then girls and they even sent me to a "play school" to hopefully get me to have girl friends. I started to realise that my parents were worried about me so I forced myself to make friends with girls I didn't like. It's only now that I see how horrible and abusive that really is. And another thing my dad really wanted me to have a boyfriend even though I felt nothing for anyone (I'm ace/aro) but because I care about my dad so I again forced myself into a romantic relationship with my best friend. (I was 7 years old when all of this happen)

Hey, still, not all straight people are horrible. I'm a bi woman married to a lovely straight husband and have straight friends that are great people, who are very supportive of lgbt+ rights. But great that you discovered your sexuality, good for you :)

When I first started playing Sims, a lot of them just ended up being gay. Once, when I wasn't that clear on how the game worked, a female Sim I created ended up liking one of the standard characters and I eventually had her move in, not knowing that she had a family. Occasionally her husband and children would show up and berate my Sim.

When did sewing ever become so feminine? Like I guess embroidery historically is but I'm fairly certain that there were plenty of male tailors. Even so, sewing is and extremely useful skill that can help combat fast fashion so we should all be somewhat competent

I have genuinely encountered people who think men being able to sew a button, a patch, or fix a hem is weird but i think they are important things for my sons to learn, my youngest son wants me to teach him how to crochet so you know what i did? I got one of my extra hooks and a skein of yarn i wasnt using and taught him how to make a chain cuz you must start with the basics

No I think they meant in the elementary school one, that if small kids can respect anyone, why can’t full grown adults?
