THE STANDARD: An all new 4 part series going behind-the-scenes with UConn Women's Basketball as they prepare for the 2022-23 season.
Hear from Head Coach Geno Auriemma & student athletes on the impacts of injury, the goals of a new season, and the work that needs to be done to meet THE STANDARD.
The Standard is presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast.
Devoted fans of the UConn women's basketball program will not want to miss THE STANDARD - a new series launching today with behind-the-scenes access and interviews with the Huskies' 2022-23 team members and coaches.
The four-part docuseries, presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, is another original content collaboration for Husky fans by UConn Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, LEARFIELD, and the LEARFIELD Studios team.
Episodes 1 and 2 of THE STANDARD launch today. Episodes 3 and 4 will be released on November 2 and November 9 respectively. Fans can watch all four episodes and the series' trailer on THE STANDARD's dedicated page within UConnHuskies.com.
Each episode is between four and seven minutes, taking UConn fans on a journey through the months leading up to start of this year's season. THE STANDARD will feature team practices and film sessions, as well as introduce fans to the program culture on and off the court.

Go Huskies!!! We believe in y'all. I'm so excited to watch Ayanna and Lou Lopez play!! Nika looks READY. Paige & Ice will be back in no time. I love this team!
Just a bunch of unbelievably great athletes but same goes for their character!! Awesome young ladies. Kick butt!!
tough to watch knowing Brady is out... really need to look at their strength/conditioning

I hope one of the freshmen are bangers. That is what has been missing the past two seasons. The front line and ONO in particular were soft. If one or more of the freshmen can come in and make it difficult for the opposing team to score down low, they have a good chance to go deep in the NCAA tourney. And I definitely missed seeing Nika's intensity last year. Coach made room for Azzi by limiting Nika. I think that was a huge coaching error. Those two are my favorite players. But limiting Nika's fire and hustle for Azzi's shooting didn't make sense. Gotta find a way to maximize each without limiting the other. That all being said....Hey Coach!!! Bangers! We need Bangers!!!

@@manfrommeeteetse3880 Yes, "third grade school for the blind" sums it well. Forgot to give a shoutout to Dorka. She was the ONLY front line player that would lean on/push her opponent all game like a forward is supposed to do. When she hurt her hand in the tourney, I knew that the only way to win would be if they got hot from outside. Didn't happen...Didn't win.

That Patterson girl looks good. She may have a breakout year as well.
UCONN WB team will have a very good season. However, with Paige being out I am wondering who will be the Azzi's sidekick that will come through during the clutch time. You need a minimum of two All Americans to reach the Final Four and win the Championship. It appears Geno is hoping that Lou's scoring will fill the void of Paige's scoring absence.

I think Azzi has the talent to be an All-American, but does she have the personality? We will find out this season.

God I miss Ice and that kid known as Buckets.
They cant do a chin up without assistance when they showed the gym workout.

Funny how geno needs players to step up now where as before he held them in little bubbles of his choosing. Turn them loose and quit relying on brittle paige
Mika has such a strange accent. I know she's Croatian, I think I've heard their accent before. However, every time she talks I'm like I don't know. Maybe South America might be her looks. Her English is excellent . I think she would have stuck around for another year. She was getting some good NIL deals you'd think she would. She's a great player. Smart attractive. Oh well.
