Most people don't realize how much this team means to us here in CT. This is a small state with only one professional sports team -- the WNBA's Sun. (Go figure.) The UCONN Women's team is everyone's team in this state and the fans show it 100%. We're a little spoiled by all those banners, and even more spoiled by the two seasons where BOTH the Men and Women won it all, but we follow UCONN through the droughts as well as the peaks. Women's basketball is serious business in our little state. 😎

I just started watching the series and I’d have to say it’s very interesting. I don’t watch the WNBA or Women’s college basketball but I kind of like it. The short episodes kind of bother me but it’s not that big of a deal. I’m actually intrigued to see what more y’all have in store.

Absolutely love Dorka. She's the only consistently physical front line player. She is always leaning/pushing on an opposing player to wear them down. Coach needs to get more physical players in the hole. Will pay off when they get to the dance. He also needs to learn to use his subs more wisely. Paige's injury last year was avoidable as were some of the others, IF he had a broader substitution rotation. Having starters in when you are up by 20 or 30 is not teaching nor is it smart. Also need Nika's fire on the court. She sat on the bench way way too much last year.

Dorka is my favorite now that E is gone. She has the length of Liv, the physicality of Aaliyah, but, and I mean this in the kindest way possible, much smarter...Dorka does not get in foul trouble, at least not that I can recall. It was a rare occurrence the last 2 years for Liv or Aaliyah to not be in foul trouble. I believe this could be Dorka’s breakout year and if it is, I agree with Geno that she is easily a top 5 draft pick.

We definitely need to add a physical front line player. I feel like we haven’t had a true center since Stefanie Dolson. I want someone BIG, TALL, STRONG & AGGRESSIVE. At least 6’5. That’s what’s missing. We have the guards & we have 3 more guards coming in next year. We need to recruit true bigs.

It's a fair question, but I wouldn't hold my breath. With Ice down for the season, there's a better shot for Amari. Competition is stiff though. Front court even without Ice -- Dorka, Aaliyah, Aubrey, Ayanna, Amari. UCONN really needs a post threat, so Ayanna may have a leg up on Amari there.

@@DirectionlessStudent She wasn't exactly over impressive against Kutztown. She's got to do more than she did against a very weak opponent or her butt will look like she sat on a porcupine. Geno will sit her down and leave her there.

@@svpst1 Yeah what bothers me most about Amari's game since she got here is her willingness to settle for the mid-range jumper. Girl you're 6'5" with skills -- get to the damn rim! Ayanna just got here and she's already showing more drive than Amari.
