Didn’t seem so bad when I got my BA in ‘65. UConn made the playoffs but lost in first round to St Joes in Philly. I went to see it. In those days we did refer to Willimantic as the “armpit of the nation”-not my words. So it looks like your bad decision turned out pretty, pretty, pretty good. You’re the best Coach. You made me a rabid women’s basketball fan. Many 🙏 thanks and a million kudos.

Rode horses? No. We did borrow a pig one time and released it on the girl's floor. A little sheep on another occasion. (I gotta tell you, they stink!) We never had the guts to go for a calf. It probably would have been a lot harder sneaking it out of the barn and up to the third floor. We did bring them back. They had a good story to share with the herd. This was '77-'78.

Still blows my mind how Carter won player of the year in the Big East. That was complete biased bullshit. That award belongs to Newton. As much as "tight knit" the Big East coaches claim to be, there's without a doubt, 100% jealousy and bias. Same thing with Kemba back in 2011. How about that player did absolutely nothing against UConn, he didn't even exist after the 1st 5 mins of the game.

Coach Dan Hurley can grow on you faster than your own hair. He is a true motivator. As accomplished as he has quickly become, he still sounds like a genuine student of the game with passion, honesty, confidence, and true humbleness. Those who play for him must get many wow moments, and a lifetime of memories that may enable them to succeed against the biggest odds. Go UConn.

We Are Big East. As a Coventry Connecticut Yankee I was taught that Rivalries should have weight and meaning. We Are Big East. Georgetown, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Villanova are our Rivals. Stay Independent or Expect Resistance. We are Big East. Do not listen to or give credibility and Creedence to talk about a Conference change. The University of Connecticut Football program shouldn’t decide which conference we play in. We are Big East, expand the conference with Miami, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, and Syracuse. We as a University should never again turn our backs on our Rivals and our mutual history. So Jim Mora have some respect before you start expressing yourself as Authority over where we play. Football power conferences runs the roost and you need to support our push to get in if you care about UConn athletics. Best bet is to join the ACC and then you can keep playing Miami Syracuse Pitt, etc while scheduling GTown and Nova in non-conference. Just look at the power conference distribution payouts and our athletic budget, and it will be clear that UConn football’s success will help the university stay afloat and relevant in the ever changing future of college athletics.
