🔎 In this video, we will uncover the truth about eggs and heart disease, debunk myths, and provide scientific insights.
🤔 The prevailing belief that saturated fats and dietary cholesterol are the primary causes of heart disease is being challenged by doctors and scientists today.
🧐 Instead of solely focusing on cholesterol levels, it is important to consider the quality of cholesterol, as oxidation of cholesterol particles can lead to cellular damage, inflammation, and diseases like atherosclerosis.
💛 Consuming 3 eggs per day improved cholesterol quality in overweight subjects, increasing levels of HDL ("good") cholesterol.
🥚 Eggs are a "complete food" with a comprehensive nutrient profile, including high-quality protein, healthy fats, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins (A, D, E, K, B), and minerals (iron, zinc, selenium).
👀 Eggs are a rich source of choline, vital for cell membrane formation, fetal brain development, and preventing various health problems. They also contain antioxidants that promote eye health and have a low glycemic index, beneficial for diabetes and heart health.
🐔 Eggs from pasture-raised and free-range hens are higher in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, vitamin E, and essential nutrients compared to eggs from caged hens.
🍳 Use cooking methods that don't require oils, like poaching or boiling, when cooking eggs. Alternatively, choose heat-stable oils like coconut oil, which can withstand high heat without breaking down or producing toxic by-products.

I’ve lived through the “experts” telling us low fat, no fat, high fat is the way to go. Eat eggs, don’t eat eggs. High protein, vegan, Mediterranean is the way to go. What I’ve concluded is eat as close to nature as possible in moderation. I think it’s the chemicals and processed foods that are the problem. Tired of the fads and “diets”.

Definitely. Our bodies can heal themselves; they don't need allopathic assistance. "Medicine is the art of coddling the patient, as the body heals itself." Have a feeling that the accumulation of toxins is the main cause of disease. Loads of autoimmune diseases are probably related to dietary chemicals or other environmental pollutants. Also, chemicals in the water.

As a retired Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse I can say unequivocally that the information in this video is nearest to the truth as you will get. Over the decades I managed the care of thousands of cardiac patients most of whom had close to normal or dominantly normal cholesterol levels. Yet, many had severely occluded arteries. Obviously life style played a role also. Smoking, sedentary, obesity, alcohol use, some of these patients though being athletes, marathon runners, in fact that believed they were eating healthy. Our main focus post MI (Heart Attack) had been health teaching in regards low fat diets, medications, statins, and ASA. Incredibly, over (decades) we continued to see and increase in numbers coming into our unit. It didn't make sense due to the amount of knowledge and public education being published. Further more, patients were returning for their second and third time despite following all they presumed guidelines. Something was missing, something we were over looking. Looking more closely at the dietary regimes of numerous patients we noted many used refined sugars separately or added to refined foods.

Interesting. I had a quadruple bypass five years ago. So far so good. It's not easy sticking with a healthy diet, particularly with a dogmatic 95-year-old mother and other factors. Yesterday I purchased some soy milk. It has sugar and canola oil added to it. Not good. I am attempting to change to green tea. However, as yet, it is more of an unpleasant experience compared to normal coffee or tea. I have found that steamed vegetables and salmon are something I now enjoy. I have always had a sweet tooth. When I am out, seeing desserts in a refrigerated cabinet are an incredible temptation, I usually resist by having nuts. Interestingly Meta Mucil which I take for the prevention of impacted feces seems to lower cholestoral levels. Post my operation the specialist was dismissive that I wasn't taking cholesterol-lowering tablets. I have cut out bread, however, on the rare occasions when I purchase it I devour it. Just some thoughts regarding my experiences.

I'm almost 76. Around the age of 30, I stopped eating most processed foods. I never gave up my eggs (nor paid attention when told not to eat egg yolks), dairy, or other high-fat foods or grains and bread. Never believed the hype and distrusted the ever-changing food pyramids A friend told me that if you have to read the label on the box to determine what was in the package, don't put it in your mouth. The best advice I was ever given. Over the years, I've become more plant-based in my food selection, but still eat meat and fish, just no longer 3 times a day. I take a number of supplements, including many developed and researched specifically for longevity. I use EVOO, coconut oil, avocado oil, and butter. (love my butter!) Try to eat only organic, non-GMO foods and meats, eggs (average 2 a day), and dairy from humanely raised animals. I have the numbers of a 20-year-old, have an incredible immune system, could count on one hand the number of colds, etc, I've had in the past few decades. Don't take medicines, seriously avoid anti-biotics and refuse all the vaccines suggested for seniors. I did take the Covid vaccines, however, as I had too many friends and family die from it. Horrible, horrible death... I find it so interesting to see videos such as this that are finally heeding the common sense advice of our ancestors. I hadn't seen a doctor in 20 years til I went on Medicare. He had to take a zillion tests to finally believe me. I am teaching him about nutrition. Sadly, they are only taught about pills and surgery in Med School. Thank you so much, the producers of this video, for good science-based information.

There is a published studey in the Journal of the American Heart Association that showed people who have atherosclerosis should not have more than 200 mg of cholesterol per day. More was associated with more heart attacks and mortality. If you have heart diseas or atherosclerosis, do not eat egg yolks as one will have half of your cholesterol. I am now separating the whites from the yolks and cooking them in the microwave. I mix in onions and peppers and scramble. When I serve them, I top with another green vegetable and season to taste. I do not use ketchup because of the sugar, nor do I cook cheese into them because that is counterproductive on cholesterol. I do sprinkle some parmesan on them and use garlic. Most of the protein in an egg is in the white. If you do not have atherosclerosis, then you can consume egges, but how do you know you do not already have it? You would have to go to a cardiologist and be tested, which is another whole subject.

I’m 61. After 45 years of unwittingly abusing my body with food I thought was healthy I’ve been on a health tear for 12 months. [I think I’m eating right]. We grew up in the wheel house of dishonesty in food and health. Margarine, orange juice, take out fat, high fructose corn syrup, bread stripped of nutrients, no meat or eggs, salads with dressing with seed oils based. Now…I’m pre-diabetic. It’s like trying to go up a ski slope on skis at this point. I work out 2 hours, a day run 4 miles and drink green shakes that would cost 50 dollars if they ever had them in a smoothie shop. I can’t get my fasting blood sugars, A1C, glycated albumin, LDL, down. My Tryglycerides did drop to 79. My HDL is 61. So that ratio is ok. Bottom line….it’s a continuous battle to know what is healthy and what is not. It’s changed enormously in just the last 10 years.

All I need to know is that uncle Kelly ate six eggs a day for the majority of his adult life. He only cut back when he was able to get into the nursing home where aunt Irene was, and the nurses, being terrified of his diet, cut him back. He was already in his nineties at the time; I don't know what they thought they were going to do for him that he hadn't already established. He lived to 94 in spite of their help. I have never been afraid of eggs, although two is all I can eat at a time and up to four a day. I still get eye rolls when I tell people I think they are the perfect food. I am 78 and have lost all but one of my best friends from childhood. Sad.

There is no scientific evidence that saturated fat and cholesterol is unhealthy. On the contrary, more and more evidence is coming out that it is probably important for health. Sugar, on the other hand, is definitely unhealthy. High LDL is a sign of good health, unless it’s the very low density type, which is probably caused by carbs.

Eggs are among THE healthiest foods you could possibly eat and it’s a damn shame people have been mislead for so long. Red meat is another excellent food source people have been massively mislead on as well. Eggs and beef - Pretty much all the body needs to thrive.

She also ate butter, lean red meats, fish and chicken. Olive oil was in every meal. Tea with lemon juice was a staple in her whole life and didn’t like sugar in general. She insisted on having a ‘starve day’ every week and was fastidious about keeping her weight low; she used to say only fat people got sick. You're welcome! We're glad to hear that the video was beneficial to your wife. Understanding cholesterol levels and their impact on health is essential for maintaining cardiovascular well-being. If she has any specific concerns or questions, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian for personalized guidance. They can help provide tailored advice based on her individual health profile. Encourage her to take small steps toward a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, as these can play a significant role in supporting heart health.

I do love eggs, and I eat them daily, but recently I found disturbing news about the effects of choline as a cancer promoter. It would be good to shed some definitive light on this issue, too. Cookware is also important. Avoid teflon and aluminium pans, and use ceramic ones instead.

If you have some 150mcg of selenium daily the chances of getting cancer is zero. Selenium hunts down cancerous cells in your body. Also CBD oil causes cancerous cells to undergo apoptosis

@@Nedmar what so bad about aluminium

  • @Nedmar

    @Nedmar

    Жыл бұрын

@@maddog3467 When heated up, aluminum can react with acidic foods like tomatoes and vinegar. This reaction can make the food toxic and might also lead to stomach troubles. In addition, if one uses metallic or coarse/non-wood utensils to stir foods in these pans, one can accidentally scrape up very tiny pieces of aluminum which will eventually be swallowed. Aluminum is a neurotoxin which has been implicated in the etiology and pathology of multiple neurological diseases that involve inflammatory neural degeneration, behavioral impairment and cognitive decline.

I have a grand mother that is already 94 YO today, we gave her a cup of rice and 2 eggs per day and that's the only source of nutrients for her body, we don't see any problem on her health from the day we are advised to give her egg at least twice a week. in 2015 we take her to the clinic because of her coughing but when the doctor take her BP it was to high so he recommended a blood lab and it show she has a high cholesterol yet the doctor advised us to give her egg because she was so thin, the doctor is young,. updated thinking or knowledge maybe.

My second job ever, in the 70's, I worked in a restaurant. The owner's nephew was a Minnesota Twins player, who's twin brother would come in and order what was pretty much a smoothie with raw egg after his morning workout. I first thought it sounded gross! Tried it-tastes great! Make sure you known where your eggs are from!!
