🐔 Conventionally raised chicken, confined in unnatural conditions and fed with genetically modified corn and soy, poses health risks due to antibiotic overuse, reduced nutrient content, and lower levels of beneficial compounds.
🥓 Salami, bacon, and bologna, high in harmful compounds like nitrites, trans fats, and spermine, have been strongly linked to increased risks of heart disease, cancer, and other health issues.
🥫 Canned meats are now categorized as harmful due to high sodium, nitrates, preservatives, and other chemicals, which can contribute to hypertension, cell damage, poor digestion, and increased risk of chronic diseases.

    I have been a vegetarian since 1963 and I'll be 90 in a few months. I agree that family history also plays a big role in one's health, so taking care of your body makes a big difference. I did not get involved in smoking or drinking alcohol, and that really helped in my longevity. God bless those who are trying to help people stay healthy and happy.

    i dont drink or smoke, eat healthy and worked in an office job, my brother worked as a weed sprayer for over 30 years, drinks smokes and lives on takeaways, l got bowel cancer at 48 ne is 75 and never been in hospital in his life, go figure

    This presentation is about the food produced in the United States of America. I live in Australia where we have very strict food standards where certain additives are banned. I don't eat farm raised fish as I don't know what they feed the growing fish.

    Yes, the US has the worst food in the world. Mostly chemicals. We eat trash. Our soil is used up and our fruits and vegetables have less than half the nutritional value as they had just 50 years ago.

    No sorry.. epidemiology can not inform on risk the word is" associated " not risk, if you want to say bacon increase risk you must be able to show a control study on humans or else it's a association, and that association is most likely due to the foods consumed with processed meats like bread, pancakes, orange juice, muffins etc. Just like how egg consumption in the west is associated with poor outcomes but in Asia it's associated with longer healthy lives? It's what is consumed with the meat and eggs.

    When I was a boy grow up in the deep country side of Jamaica ,my grandfather as large farms .all the cows eat natural grass and sugar cain leaves and carrots cabbage corn and leaves and the drink natural clean rain water and the run about in green fields with green grass.the milk was nice and the beef .when the kill a cow for meat. Chicken run around the farm yard and out in green feels and the sleep in chicken shade the got dried green in there so the chicken relax after a long day .the chicken egg were nice ,even when they kill chicken the meat was delicious when cook. All the crops were grown naturally fruit coffee yams sweetpotatoes too and all coine of fruit ,and honey bees ,the was what I saw with my own eyes ,people speak of farming as now idea what they take about .if they see real organic food my grandfather grows on is farm back then they be shock ,they were so delicious .and all the people who work for my family back the they were all healthy some of them die in there 90s .🇯🇲🇬🇧✍

    we use to have a health food guru on tv in the 60s, he would cook a healthy meal and do a few exercises, he died of a heart attack on screen and they never put that type of show back on tv

    That's great. My dad lived to be 96, my mom 102. They ate whatever they wanted. People who lived through the Depression seem to have developed a hearty digestive system.

    Good for you... so glad to hear you're still thriving... I'm sure growing up you were fed properly... eating real, whole foods cooked at home or by family members or friends... you probably were not eating fast food 2x a week and most of the ultra processed food that's available today... you gave your body a strong foundation... you also probably got outside a lot and walked a lot, strengthening your heart and brain and bones leading to your longevity... I know you said you ate whatever you wanted but your diet probably didn't include massive amounts of sugar and poor quality protein... here's to the next 4 years and hoping you see 100 and beyond ... 😊👍💙

    Chicken goes from harch to table in 4 weeks. Chickens are sickly birds so antibiotics and growth harmony. Very few chickens are farm raised.

    I'm 76 years old now. When I was 18 years old I worked for an old rich guy doing yard work on a few of his rental houses, and he and I got to be friends. One day when I got there one of his sisters was there complaining to him about his drinking and smoking, and saying that he has one foot in the grave (I remember thinking that she looked worse than he did). After she left he said to me "Hell, I don't want to live to be a thousand years old."

    If you're going to eat things in a bread casing, it might be best to avoid frying them and buy an air fryer instead which is much better to cook with. No oil or fat needed.

    what if you have to have meat in small doses to help with Iron deficiency etc. due to other medical issues such as blood clotting disorders something I know well having von Willebrad's disease myself and around my menstrual cycle I'd crave red meat bacon etc. for the iron present because I was deficient and it was causing other issues like chronic tiredness mood swings etc.

    Just source some free-range beef or lamb from local farmers or butchers. Grass fed is best; grazing animals select their own pasture if given the chance! Find a good butcher.

    Red meat is full of iron. Exactly what you should be eating lots of, especially during your period. Doctors are the number 1 killer in the US. No joke. Many people have cured diseases and autoimmune disorders by eating a carnivore diet. Research it yourself. Lots of information right here on youtube.

    I have an organic grocery store I get ALL my groceries from: I sometimes, though not often, have bun free hamburgers that are grass fed/antibiotic free. I also have organic sardines in olive oil (though I pour out the olive oil that comes in the can and pour my own trusted EVOO on them and sprinkle on crushed cayenne pepper). What do the experts have to say about that? One is still a hamburger and the other is still canned meat.

    The olive oil is probably the best ingredient in the can. I would't really replace it, unless you really like the taste of the replacement oil. But then I wouldn't use the cayenne which would ruin the taste. If the EVOO is not peppery, then it's not good oil.

    @@ynotttt yeah it's probably the olive oil that allows them to state that it's "organic." It's worth noting that I live in the UAE and I haven't finished researching government restrictions on such claims as "organic." However, generally speaking the punishment for fraud over here decreases the BS. I need to research more about the availability here of buying sardines that don't come in a can, regardless of the "organic" claim.

    But there's a good motto. " Do all things in moderation". I think Socrates said that. But znyway you want to enjoy life. And to me, eating is a pleasure. But i agree, I do stay away from canned meat always.

    I never knew the people ate eel meat. Maybe just something not found in American stores. So this is not a problem I think for us here in America. I am in a assisted living facility and on a regular basis the main meal consist of, hotdogs ,hamburgers other processed Meats and several times a week chicken nuggets. Sometimes I think this place wants to accelerate the dying process among the residents. Many of these older people already have compromised immune systems, heart problems another medical problems. But I don't think the facility even cares what they feed them. There is no dietitian here so they feed people the cheapest food they can find.

    If i was you i would find a way out of there. Those places only 1 step up from jail food. But im sure the health of those less fortanate is not on govts top priority list. They rather send billions to other countries while their own eat pig slop.

    Considering the intolerable millions of tons of chemicals dumped on our fields every day and the natural chemicals in vegetation. Look out. This is what's causing most of the illnesses we are now causing old age and natural. If you give up everything except meat and fish for a couple of weeks and see how good you feel, you'll be aware of this. It's a frightening thought I know and a terrible thought of eating by but, it's considered the beginning of an elimination diet that could save you a lot of pain and misery. Believe me I know. People have no idea how much, in the way of chemicals get into their bloodstream when they eat. And remember, that blood goes everywhere, even the brain.

    @@toni4729 The problem is that there are other videos that suggest that many of the foods you say oar OK are NOT OK. If you follow every such dietary suggestion you would find out that only wood chips & water are OK. And, in fact, too much water is not good...nor is excess fiber from wood. In other words, eating anything becomes a risk!

    All organic and farm raised animals are fairly safe ! And , don’t buy farm raised fish though but fish taken from the sea ! It’s low in mercury ! High in omega 3 like salmon and tuna ! God bless you all! Amen 🙏

    Anything like that is loaded with sodium, triglyceride, cholesterol and then any other synthetic food item and emulsifier you could think of! Good luck troll in the aisles! Look for free range chicken grass-fed beef or Buffalo other free roaming Farm friends like pork. I believe that was the basis of what he's telling you. Wild salmon not farm salmon. Or any other fish. You are what you eat the old expression. People have been putting this out for years. It's not even the antibiotics it's the hormones our children are getting breast and going through puberty quicker.

    Grass fed also applies to butter. Ghee is a good alternative to ordinary butter because it generally made from the milk of grass fed cows. There are some brands of regular butter that are from grass fed cattle. I would think they would be good to use.

    Hi Unfortunately I'm 74 now and have lived on most of the bad foods listed in your presentation up until the last 7 years when started researching healthier alternatives to my previous diet of processed and even tin foods from time to time - simply because there was no internet or KZread presentations - to look into for all the wealth of info that is now available on the internet. Currently suffering from a few health issues with Prostate and a recent diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis - all of which I would attribute to my former eating habits of inflammatory foods up until 7 years ago when I began to change to mostly Fresh veggies and fruit with only Turkey mince and a couple dozen eggs per week for a meat content to my relatively new approach to a healthier eating regime. No processed foods whatsoever and I study ingredient contents before buying anything in packages like tasty cheese and low sugar content yogurt for desserts with only banana or strawberries for sweets with almost no grains or breads whatsoever because of their gluten and vegetable oil contents. Every single bread on the supermarket shelves has both gluten and Canola or some other vegetable oil in them - all inflammatory in nature - with Oats or Porridge as my only grain to go with the Banana and or strawberry and yogurt combo for sweets. Sadly the Oats manufacturers don't say whether or not those porridge packets from ALDI or other chain food stores have gluten in them. I'm hoping not - but probably deluding myself there - at present - and may have to drop the oats from my diet. As far as I can tell Rolled oats are the least processed gain that has 17% fibre, 5% fats & 9% carbs which our bodies convert into sugar apparently, but other than that and the banana and/or strawberry and low sugar pot set yogurt fruit dessert - I have no added sugar whatsoever - but on one occasion when I had to order from coles online out of necessity I made the monumental mistake of not reading the label on the 1 litre tub of yoplait and strawberry yogurt that I purchased. [Billed or advertised as, "Australia's #1 Family yogurt" and, "Naturally Nutritious with real fruit, goodness of milk and 8 essential nutrients" BUT with a total sugar content of 22% sugars, 8.5 grams of natural sugar but with 10.9 grams of added sugar. The Methotrexate and prednisolone meds are a concerning issue also and I'd like to eliminate them both as I don't think they are ultimately doing my immune system any favours - by basically switching the immune system off altogether. Incidentally, in spite of being housed for at least two hospital stays for a fortnight each time amid covid wards during the lockdowns here I never got covid at all until after I went onto the Rheumatoid Arthritis drugs. My overall health improved when I first moved from a Melbourne suburban city environment in the SE suburbs to a country town - fresh air - country town location, amid fairly widespread veggie farming areas and even a local abattoir, all surrounded by bushland and lots of trees - up until recently when New housing Estates by developers began to take off in my region and thus took over much valuable farmland and open areas with creation of New Infrastructure to house the growing number of people moving to this regional area to take up residence. I'm still dealing with 'plumbing' issues related to inflammatory conditions that I still have at present. But that's life I guess from having poor diet for most of my life - because we simply didn't know then what we do now about diet related deficiencies and toxins in our foods and indeed our atmospherically toxic air in city environments. 🙃

    Buy European and UK beef, our cattle are grass fed, the habit of stockyarding isn't done on this side of the Atlantic. We all also have strick rules on use of drugs on all farm animals, plus rules about preventing them getting into the food chain. Battery chickens are banned both for food and egg laying, in the UK and EU. All our poultry of all kinds, not just chickens, are barn living or free range, with natural feed, not the stuff used in the US. There are strick rules in the UK and EU on additives in cooked and cured meat, but too much processed meat from any source is not good for you. Canned fish is much safer than canned meat. If you eat out in the UK avoid kebab shops, as bad as US hot dogs and burgers. If you know a good deli/butchers, use their sausages, cooked meat and burgers. What's in chicken nuggets, the mechanically recovered meat, is also in canned chicken meats and canned hot dogs. 🤢

    I'm sorry to let you know that we do still have battery chicken for both food and eggs, I'm afraid. Just as battery pigs. I live in the Netherlands and we have momentarily a big problem with it, because of the carbon print on our environment. Up until climate change became an issue we worked ourselves up to be the first and second food producer in the world. All that on stamp sized country! For quite a periode our government ignored the problem until the EU put some heavy restrictions on us for not doing our part and excessively exceeding the limits. Now many farms have to go out of bussiness in a short span of time and this doesn't sell very well. But despite all these troubles, even our battery chickens and pigs have to follow specific rules and regulations for them to be safe to eat.

    While free range and organic foods are recommended how are those of us on a fixed income supposed to afford them? With the price of groceries, gas, utilities being much higher now, along with rent going up and healthcare being stupid high, i have to shop for the cheaper foods just to get by. It would be nice to be able to get the healthier foods even if it was just once in a while but at double the price it isn't feasible.

    For 15 months l have eaten no vegetables or fruit. I mostly eat beef pork chicken and fish. I eat 5 dozen eggs and lots of real butter and Redmond's real salt. I take daily minerals. I no longer am diabetic or have high blood pressure or high cholesterol. I've lost over 80 pounds. I feel better than I have in decades.

    the information is primarily about places that do not have animal welfare and high food standards. The type of place where eggs have to be stored refrigerated, much of this does not apply if you've somewhere where cows eat grass (what else wold they eat?) and chickens are not restricted to cages. Sadly the citizens are not treated better, little worker rights, no agreed minimum paid holiday or maternity leave, and no health care for when this food takes it's toll

    Eat fresh wild caught salmon for omega 3 fats. That way, you can eat "choice" and "prime" beef grass raised, but grain finished of grass finished if you bathe the beef in butter. Farm raised fishes must not be used. Most fish oil capsules contain rancid fish oil so skip them as well. The ideal omega 3 to omega 6 ratio is 1 to 1. No need to over-think this.

    And if all or most of the world follows your advice, how long will it last? 15 minutes maybe, and there will be no more 'wild caught salmon' ! Then what you gonna eat?

    Bacon is not highly processed I've made it myself. I would not put it in the same category as Bologna or Salami

    4:55 you had to pick a study on eels caught in rivers in Belgium? People there know very well that it's ill adviced to eat those cause of chemical plants decades long pollution of those rivers... I'm sure there exist healthier populations of eel elsewhere...
