The One Simple Trick You Must Use To Live Your Passion

There’s a misconception that in order to live your dreams you must go all in; quit your job, move away, lock yourself in a room and do nothing but the one thing you want to do. All of these things are actually statistically proven bad ideas. In “Originals” by Adam Grant he cites a study of 5,000 businesses that was conducted over 14 years that proves people who stick with their day jobs while launching the business or side project of their dreams fail 33% less than people who quit their jobs and jump all in. In this video I tell you my favorite trick to use every day to get one step closer to your goals, with or without a day job.

This is SO perfect and inspiring - I'm a strategy consultant by day and I'm hustling on my music career by night - this is exactly what I needed to hear.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I've gotten a lot of flack from similar people in my field about taking the leap and "you're not an entrepreneur unless you go all in". Night and day I'm working to do what I have to do for my day job and build a business as well. I've got a wife and kid...I gotta pay the bills and put food on the table...and keep taking steps in the right direction. It has felt very condemning to live like this, but now I don't feel bad about it. Maybe this will help me on the self-sabotaging as well. I'm buying that book for sure. Thanks, +Mel Robbins

This is right in line with behavioral economist Dan Ariely's work. And I also love James Clear who talks about building habits and not being overly focused on outcomes - he talks about a 1% improvement per day yielding massive results.

i made medical decisions for my mother which I regret . She was in the ambulance and the driver slept and she died because of brain injury. Now i just hate myself for making that decision. I blame my self every single second of my life. I tried so many times explaining myself that was not my fault but still after one year I am still stuck.

Mel i want to be a professional singer but yesterday i saw on internet that it is not possible at the age of 20. If you become professional singer then you can be famous in locales but not internationaly so i want to ask that what should i do ? Leave my dream and do my job or live my dream to don't look at that thought . And how to overcome on the negative statements of others.

Write down whatever it is that you want to achieve and whenever you feel like quitting, read over it because it will remind you why you started and it will give you the persistence that you need to achieve your goal. Most people stop striving towards something because they forgot why they even started.
