The One Simple Trick You Must Use To Live Your Passion
There’s a misconception that in order to live your dreams you must go all in; quit your job, move away, lock yourself in a room and do nothing but the one thing you want to do. All of these things are actually statistically proven bad ideas. In “Originals” by Adam Grant he cites a study of 5,000 businesses that was conducted over 14 years that proves people who stick with their day jobs while launching the business or side project of their dreams fail 33% less than people who quit their jobs and jump all in. In this video I tell you my favorite trick to use every day to get one step closer to your goals, with or without a day job.

This is SO perfect and inspiring - I'm a strategy consultant by day and I'm hustling on my music career by night - this is exactly what I needed to hear.
This is exactly what I needed to hear. I've gotten a lot of flack from similar people in my field about taking the leap and "you're not an entrepreneur unless you go all in". Night and day I'm working to do what I have to do for my day job and build a business as well. I've got a wife and kid...I gotta pay the bills and put food on the table...and keep taking steps in the right direction. It has felt very condemning to live like this, but now I don't feel bad about it. Maybe this will help me on the self-sabotaging as well. I'm buying that book for sure. Thanks, +Mel Robbins
Thank you!! IT'S A SIGN! The timing for me to have heard this video could not have been more effective. You're awesome, Mel, and helping me in so many ways. May God bless you too!
This is right in line with behavioral economist Dan Ariely's work. And I also love James Clear who talks about building habits and not being overly focused on outcomes - he talks about a 1% improvement per day yielding massive results.
I love this woman!!!
You know what! You Mel inspire me with something new every single day! Waking up in the morning these days, I tune in to your instagram live recording rather than to the CBC radio!!! And it's way more useful for me to plan my day. :) THANKS and greetings from Montreal, Canada.
You just made me breath easier. Mel! God bless you.
I think you're great Mel Robbins!! You really help me right now! Thanks a lot!

Hello Mel i want to ask that how to be focused on the task you doing at moment? i tend to think what i will do next while m doing my present work and this is irritating cause it doesn't let you focus completely on what you doing at the moment. kindly help
i made medical decisions for my mother which I regret . She was in the ambulance and the driver slept and she died because of brain injury. Now i just hate myself for making that decision. I blame my self every single second of my life. I tried so many times explaining myself that was not my fault but still after one year I am still stuck.
hi Mel but if business has been launched, then should I dive full time into the business or still do my shift routine job? because while doing shift routine job, business can't get the required amount of time.
I just bought your book. Can't wait to get it !.. love this video . How can I meet you ?
Thanks
Great Advice :)
Mel i want to be a professional singer but yesterday i saw on internet that it is not possible at the age of 20. If you become professional singer then you can be famous in locales but not internationaly so i want to ask that what should i do ? Leave my dream and do my job or live my dream to don't look at that thought . And how to overcome on the negative statements of others.
This is so important. I had a similar question. Thank you so much.
Mel, I got a question, so...as you said if anybody got one just ask, then.... Will you marry me ?! Relax, I don' t wish to have any discussion with your husband (lol); it Is only a way to show that I like your work and I love the way you talk and tell the things.
What if you were fired and have no choice go full force in your business? Still applying for radio gigs while I work my business too.
I need this much while i kinda had plan to stop my first job and to start another bussines of mine... So its kinda an answer.. Thanks for Liz n also for you Mel! 💪💕💕💕
What do you do when your burned out from your job??
Franklin planner rule! Take another 30 at the end of your day before bed. Doubles what you can do.
I needed to hear this big time!!!
From New Zealand
5, 4, 3, 2, 1....As I meditate, I choose to walk between Time, Space and present Reality and EXPERIENCE THE UNKNOWN of joy, gratitude and fulfilled excitement :)
yap!
Yeah, right. Try doing this in your 50s-60s
Mel!! Help!! I live paycheck to paycheck. No one in my family has achieved anything. Do I go back to school? How can I get ahead?

Write down whatever it is that you want to achieve and whenever you feel like quitting, read over it because it will remind you why you started and it will give you the persistence that you need to achieve your goal. Most people stop striving towards something because they forgot why they even started.

akshu dutt Understood! Note she talked about difference in the risk of failure. You don't have to be entrepreneurial road kill.
I would have to get up at 4.30 or 5.00 to sneak these 30 minutes into my morning routine - my job starts at 7.00

you didnt answer the question. The question was broader, how do you split your passions? Well?
