Let me get this straight. They wanted to make a show about a notorious bounty hunter, and their 1000 IQ writing move was to have him play pretend crime lord at an overused place for the entire thing, while doing absolutely nothing that would show off his skills as a hunter and assassin?

Really? It wasn't more annoying when a giant black haired wookie manages to sneak into Boba's lair, where he is lying helpless in his tank. Unconscious and oblivious to his surroundings. But doesn't just blow up the tank because he doesn't have ANY WEAPON on him. No blade nor blaster. Then during the fight neither the wookie, boba or his henchmen use a gun at all. In fact the ONE PERSON with a gun opens the stock of the gun to retrieve a blade she throws AT the wookie. Instead of shooting the wookie. I'd say that scene is way worse. The assassins in the street could have been ordered to take him alive or have been an intimidation tactic. The wookie was literally there to kill him.

This might make sense if we were dealing with objectively 'good guys' who have capture vs kill motives. But they set out to make a villians vs villians show (or advertised it as such) then backed down from their own concept to make it palatable as family entertainment. Effectively pulling the teeth out of characters who should be making far more effort to kill anything in their way.

I can’t put into words how much I agree with like everything you said. Especially the part about Luke’s hypocrisy. Luke is the living embodiment of the new Jedi order, one based around love and the future. Luke’s love for his friends supersedes everything, even being a Jedi. That’s literally attachment. His love for his father brought him back to the light. Attachment. Sees Leia, Han and Chewie every so often. Attachment. I don’t understand how they could screw up something as easy as this. Luke is a compassionate person who uses that to train his padawans. Why is he going back to the archaic nature of the old order? God, it makes me so mad because Luke Skywalker is no ordinary Jedi, he’s THE Jedi.

The scene with Krrsantan attacking the patrons is worse than it initially seems because it actually starts out making sense! He's not attacking them randomly, but because they are Trandonshans. It is a species famous (or infamous, I guess) for being slave traders and for specifically enslaving Wookiees in several pieces of Star Wars media (or at least they were. I dunno how this factors in Disney's new canon) so I was actually happy to see this little attention to detail there... only for them to ruin it in the finale episode by sending Krrrsantan to patrol the Trandoshan district. Like, what the actual fuck? That's the equivalent of sending Martin Luther King to spy on a KKK meeting without a disguise on! This show is so adamant in shooting itself in the foot.

Did they ever establish in the show that Trandoshans enslaved wookies though? "Oh I remember you from the fighting arena" or something along these lines (IDR, lol), suggesting he was some kind of slave gladiator for entertainment I think? ...but if you're not as familiar with star wars EU as I'm guessing a lot of viewers aren't it just comes off as "holy shit! this wookiee is batshit insane!" I think what they tried to pass is that for him it wasn't about money (hence why he didn't take the offer) and that random trandoshan or not, he doesn't care. It's all about vengeance... but again, without the writers establishing some context it comes off to the "batshit insane" thing I was talking about.

They were so poor and lacking possessions that the Tuskens had to raid and kidnap, the Jawas had to steal and scavenge, and even decent people like Luke's family had to purchase stolen/scavenged stuff from the Jawas. The Mandalorian episodes of THIS very show even emphasises this by showing him trying to get parts for his new ship and even the fact that the new ship was 2nd hand crap. We even see speeder bikes made out of pod race parts, R5-D4, EV-9D9 and 8D8 repurposed for different roles simply because theres a finite amount of stuff on the planet and they have to make do with what they have. So now they're saying that these Tuskens are nice and keep to themselves? Oh except for the beginning of the series where they kidnap slaves. And the Vespa Mods with their pristine gleaming bikes and high-tech cybernetic parts?!?! We are also introduced to Mos Espa as being a giant metropolis with a spaceport?!?

You apparently havent seen how these subgroups work in real life, looking almost like colorful clowns dressed in very difficult to find super colorful clothing and accessories but they literally sleep on dirt floors in tribal villages....IN REAL LIFE. This is reflective of this reality so that point is moot. The cyber parts...its star wars, it's as common as old car parts in a special niche market somewhere...so that's a moot point. The differences between tribes of Tuskens can be stark and blinding, not all native american tribes are the same, nor japanese clans, why would this be homogeneous and unrealistic? Moot point. Lastly have you never seen giant metropolitan areas in 3rd world countries? They exist too. It really just seems like you need to inform yourself on reality before you start criticizing the comparisons to it.

"The idea behind Tatooine was that it was a dust ball where nothing happened. " NO, literally the opposite is established in the very first STAR WARS released in 1977. you're completely missing the actual point the writers are trying to make. No surprise this is coming for TFM brainlet, you people are literally the embodiment of backwards logic scum. Tatooine has dozens of space ports, many cities, and a large population. It even was a planet you visit in EU KOTOR1, has a bunch of crime syndicates in it, The Hutts, and probably much more. It's not just a desert rock, yes I am tired of seeing it fucking everywhere all the time, but it's not some rock. That's like implying that Egypt is the equivalent of some desolate space where like 23 people live in it, even if it's one of the oldest and richest countries culture and history wise, just like Tatooine. Jakku is the actual desolate space with no cities or much history. You know... because it has been actually established to be junkyard planet in the middle of nowhere with almost noone living there.

I’m 99% sure they rushed into making this show, realized they already have a show about a badass mandalorian bounty hunter, and quickly came up with the plot for the show without looking at any source material for the character or other material for inspiration for the plot. Like for gods sake mando is literally just a Star Wars themed love letter to spaghetti westerns, if they wanted to make a show about boba being a crime lord they could atleast take some inspiration from films like godfather, goodfellas, maybe some 40s noir. Instead it’s just careless fan service thrown in to attempt to distract you from the fact that they had no clue what they were doing

Head scratchers on this show... Makes NO sense why Boba wanted to be a 'crime lord' in a desert town. Where is the motivation, the big DESIRE to do all of this? How can he maintain ANYTHING with 2 guards, him in a Bacta tank most of the time, and Fenec to cover the gigantic Jabba Palace facility. It's a HUGE complex. The other crime bosses would've gotten rid of him the first week there. Fenec seems to know what to do at ALL times and is constantly telling Boba what to do. Makes him look simple and weak. All fight scenes are the same, same locations. Like they're always at some plaza, against a small building with the heroes in or huddled right up to a small building waiting for the baddies to inch forward. If not for the Rancor and baby Yoda in the last episode, it'd ALL be exactly the same. WHY is Boba on a speeder with NO HELMET, on a desert plain. The sand alone at those speeds would blind him. Ever see a motorcyclist without goggles, or a helmet or sunglasses? Where are Fenec's guts? She had her whole middle section below lungs replaced with mechanical parts. How can she eat, poop and piss? Why did they have the Quadrophenia vespas (with all those mirrors), a pretty recognizable earth vehicle. Make them look unique, cobbled together tech but cool looking. Who are those unremarkable, not cool or interesting or powerful teenage 'cyborgs'. They don't look cool at all. Their parts look fake and they look like Inspector Gadget type gadgetry. Lame. With the train assault, train traveling hundreds of miles an hour, how did the Sand People at the end of the crash catch up to them riding only Bantha's?

    1. he is taking back where he worked in the original trilogy, from a person he did not respect and (everyone) hated, you must have forgotten that. 2. those who could best him, fear him and avoid him by if necessary, sending someone to do the job instead of themselves, those who do not know him, make the mistake. Fennec was hired by the emperor to handle Anakin and a highly protected Amidala, if the ultimate bad guy of the series feels she can handle killing Anakin and the most protected person on a planet, she can protect Boba as he chills for a few hours a day. 3. yeah, shes one of the best in the galaxy, and Boba is older and not in his prime. 3. fight scenes are not the same, all action takes place over at least 7 different locations throughout the series, stop looking for the folded wish chips in the bag and pay attention more. 4. no helmet? realistic sand eye damage? this is a tv show, not a documentary, stop nitpicking things that are not necessary to nitpick. people can jump 20+ feet, lightsabers killing monsters, sounds in space, etc. its not our reality. chill. 5. Fennec has no guts, therefore does not need to eat piss or shit anymore. 6. the vespas sucked, and it was probably just a chance to introduce a new vehicle for the toy market. I dont know if you work in tv or not, but vehicles are the highest profit margin for tv and movie toy merch sales. the first thing that happens once a show is created (often during the first season) is someone asking for vehicles to be written into the show so they can flush out the toy line with more options. thats why they exist and are colourful. Toys. 7. weird cyborgs, see answer 6. 8.if you have ever watched a Star Wars movie or show, you will never see the Tuskens chasing down people. from the first movie to the last, they are seen ambushing people, as they have total knowledge of their home. if the train needs to stop somewhere, they will know. if it breaks down, boom. many solutions to another question that did not need to be asked. Leave the writing and storytelling to the professionals.

@@EthanWane Trying to give cover for inconsistent writing and poor character development. Here's the breakdown: - Boba needs to have a desire and motivation shown in the show, WRITTEN into the show as to why he changed from a Bounty Hunter gun for hire to just a crime boss. Please cite where in the original trilogy Boba 'hated' Jabba. He was a Bounty Hunter for hire. For money. That was his motivation. Like the bounty hunters in the Dollar Trilogies (some Yojimbo) where some of this is inspired from (mando and book of boba as well as some of the OT). - Jabba's Palace is gigantic. The size of the Pentagon. You'd need hundreds of guards stationed at various points to cover that immense area. The show needed to write in how they can protect all access points into the palace. Remember, only Boba in Bacta Tank, Fenec, and just 2 Gamorrean Guards. - Fenec constantly telling Boba what to do makes your main character seem unimportant. She doesn't act like a mentor but just a matter of fact know it all. Never shows doubt, or a flaw. It weakens your lead character. Make her the star of the show then. - If you watch Book of Boba, Fennec is eating and drinking regularly. She has no guts in the middle of her entire body. Should show/write in she has to eat paste, something different, life is not what is once was. Adds more layers to the character and maybe a vulnerability. - The majority of fight scenes if you watch the show, are in plaza's/streets in town against or near the building. Same set ups. Chapter 1, has the battle with the assassins with shields in street, Chapter 3 cyborg teens corral the mayor's spokesman in the street at the market, Chapter 6 Cad Bane/Marshal gun fight on the street, Chapter 7 THREE of the same ambush set up with Black Wookie in one, Cyborg teens in another and Boba/Mando in another. ALL set up in plaza's next to, back up against buildings. The Dollar Trilogies did some of this but more clever, interesting. - If no helmet in the desert, then WHY the sand people have coverings over mouth, goggles as well as the Jawas. Living in the desert. Protect against elements. Lame excuse. - Of course have some toy designs for the show. But Earth looking Vespas take you out of the world of Star Wars. A lived in world was the charm of the original trilogy. If you watched those, I saw as a kid the scratches, dirt, dents, etc. on the armor and vehicles. Makes it a lived in world. Just design the teens speeders in a more interesting way akin to the Star Wars universe, no? - You didn't pay attention to Chapter Two. The reason Boba got the speeders was the Banthas couldn't catch up to the train. Slow moving right. So, they chased the train on speeders, it was traveling at 100s of miles an hour, they were MILES away from the tribe when Boba crashed the train. Right as that happened, the Sand People tribe were running up to the crash site. How? Like you said, they had some Tuskans positioned along the route but only a few snipers early on the route, Boba and the train and 2 speeders with Tuskans stayed with the train, miles and miles away at the crash. You see them running up the crash on foot. - If you know professional writers and artist you must also know, when you put your work out to the public, it will be scrutinized, criticized, love and or hated. It's the price of putting your art to the public. We as a paying audience are allowed our opinions. This isn't hate, but just head scratchers. We ALL love Star Wars. We wouldn't watch the show or spend time with it if we didn't.

Spot on. Old Star Wars fan here. He was ONLY cool because of the toy offer when I was a kid. That's the origin of all of this Boba is cool nonsense. It was a much desired toy to get as a kid into Star Wars. He looked cool as a toy, cool costume, weapons especially the jet pack/rocket launcher. Then when he was in Empire, we were all like oh,this is cool he gets Han, he acts tough and mysterious. We were waiting for him in a cool battle but though, oh...the next movie will have it. Well Return came and he got offed right away in the lamest way possible, a blind Han swinging wildly hits him before he was gonna' get Luke. Goofy. We all groaned as kids. It was lame. After that, the toys in the 90's kept trying to make him something he wasn't. He never had a cool fight scene. Never seen him actually get a bounty. Han was given to him by Vader. He was never cool. It was an illusion and marketing that made him cool. He was supposed to be part of a jet pack, paratrooper type Stormtrooper. They were supposed to be an all new Stormtrooper unit but I believe it was expensive to make this costume (lots of parts to fabricate, compared to a Stormtrooper's armor) for all the actors/extra's they'd need and they instead went with Snowtroopers for Empire.

To be fair to Jango - he never realised that the jetpack was damaged by the creature beforehand and he did try to activate it as Mace Windu was charging at him. So I think he was probably looking to use a hit and run strategy but his jetpack was compromised..... overall, I think he had a better showing in the films than Boba.

@MannyP Right, cool concept but he was never 'cool'. It was all hype from the toy and a mysterious background. The cool factor you're talking about was just made up marketing. Where in the movies did he do anything great? Or have a great scene, dramatic scene? None in the films. The films are the story, not the comics or Extended Universe stuff. It only counts on film. The film is the standalone all inclusive universe. Imagine going to any movie and on screen they say, you must read this book or comic before you see the film. Each medium stands on it's own, movie, novel, comic. All are supposed to be unique adaptations of each other.

Finally someone who understands who Boba Fett was supposed to be! I can only suspect that Disney made this series due to public demand since The Mandalorian basically is a toned down, good guy Boba. If they really cared about the character they should have read the 1980´s comics or at least used "Douglas Mortimer" from a few dollars more as a blueprint for what a bounty hunter should be.

I thought the same way. Seems like if the showrunners just used ALL 3 Dollar movies more and even the one with Bronson. Use that world of gun fighters, to show how to set up fight scenes with deadly weapons (not swords and blades), and set up the motivations for each character, how they use each other to get to their own ends (money, power, freedom, etc.), it would've been a much better show.

What makes the Performance of the Skorpenek Droids even worse, is that they are apparently based off of the Annihilators- at least that's what I've been told. The Annihilator Droids were some of *the* most powerful Weapons made, able to slaughter entire Platoons of Clones in Seconds and with practically no effort! The only Problem was that they were incredibly expensive to make, to the Point that no more than a hundred Models were ever produced. Most of them apparently stayed on the Homeworld of their Creators, the Colicoids, so I am not even sure how the Pykes got these two. It *could* be seen as a Demonstration of their incredible Wealth....but 90% of the Viewers wouldn't even realize why the Droids are special. Admittedly, neither did I at first. 😅

Also the patron wasn't killed, he ONLY got his arm ripped off which would be a huge deal in normal circumstances, people often die of shock when they lose their limbs, but not trandoshans since they can regenerate them, just like the lizards they are

Boba in the movies: silent badass who protects his profits and nothing else, by any means necessary. Even disintegration. Boba in the Mandalorian: mysterious, almost legendary warrior who slaughters an entire squadron of stormtroopers in a rusty set of armor he hasn't touched in years, all without breaking a sweat. Boba in his own damn show: outmatched by literally everyone, even by half a dozen morons who think "assassination" means standing around a guy with shields and glorified tasers. His entire backstory with the tuskens could and should have been a single episode. He shouldn't have been a slave either. It's not like there aren't stories in fiction and reality of people starting out as slaves and working their way into being respected members of the society, but the kind of change from being an abused slave to both accepting and being accepted by said society takes a lifetime. Like, in The Last Samurai, what's-his-name's change in loyalty wouldn't have made sense if they had tortured him. The people there took him in and nursed him back to health. Their compassion to him was what made them worth joining. Boba, with a grand total in the end of about a dozen employees, thinks he can rule the core of Jabba's criminal empire. If so much as a single sandroller of Jawas decided they wanted Jabba's palace, they could take it. The idea that anyone could or would take him seriously when he wanders through a major city claiming to be the new ruler of one of the planet's most important population centers is brain melting and insulting. He couldn't rule a small forgotten 50's town with a population of 500 with a crew like this. Lucky for him, EVERYONE in the show gives him EVERYTHING for free. He gets tribute because people are idiots and believe him when he says he's their new boss and ruler. He gets to keep the palace because the Hutt heirs conveniently forget that bloodshed is the ENTIRE BUSINESS OF THEIR SPECIES. Hutt's are crime lords. They run such profitable and extensive black markets and protection rackets that the Clone Wars show treated them as an entirely independent government to negotiate with, so secure is their grip over the outer rim. But these Hutts give up their claim to an entire planet because it was just too much work to murder one man. And not only do they let him keep the palace, they hand him, for FREE, a rancor. The man just stole their inheritance and effectively rebelled against all Hutt space, and they give him a fucking pet! Mando helps him, for free, the dirt farmers from nowhere help him for free. Everything is handed to him, and he still constantly finds ways to lose. And don't get me started on the mods. I know the real world inspiration, and the only place in Star Wars that look might work is Coruscant. On Tattoine, they're Fifth Element characters. I was genuinely sad when they didn't all die in the finale. Boba goes to catch some punks who stole water from a businessman. They say he lied to Boba and they're the real victims. Instead of realizing he has to be careful and can't trust everyone who tries to get his support, he immediately believes the teenagers! Because fuck the audience! Everything said in the video about Luke and baby yoda was spot on. Luke would never discourage attachment. Luke is a hero because he succeeds everywhere the old order failed. He showed mercy to his father instead of leaving him to die like Kenobi, he found goodness in a man even Yoda thought was beyond saving. He could have attachments and still resist the dark side.

Ironically the best part were the two Mando episodes and how a Boba series could of gone like. Sadly though, even those episodes were just more member berries and references to much better material. Boba Fett's finale is a nightmare. I expected it to be bad, but for it to be so bad... It actually can be even worse than The Last Jedi, and I didn't think that was possible. Well, let's go in order. Why did you decide to hide in an exploded cantina with three huge holes in the walls? What's stopping the Pikes from just throwing grenades in there and killing you? How will this help you protect the population of the city? How about suggesting the villagers take shelter in your castle for the duration of the fight, Boba? How about using Slave-1 and H-1 to shoot enemies from the air? Two teenagers on colored mopeds, a Wookiee with a cannon, and two Gamorreans with knives make the perfect team to patrol the entire city. After all, they are all so inconspicuous, so armed and so fast, and there are so many of them, not a single fly will slip through ... Luke Skywalker is such an irresponsible asshole that he 1) gave a baby who barely understands what is happening around him the choice of who he should be in life - a Mandalorian or a Jedi without the right to change his mind, 2) sent him alone to Tatooine, where he himself was almost killed a hundred times, where his uncle and aunt were burned, where his sister and father were slaves, and where a war of two mafia groups is currently taking place! And he didn't even know that Din was on Tatooine, and he didn't call him to meet him! Did he just order R2 to land at a random location and drop Grogu off?! And after all, what an insane luck that the first person who stumbled upon Grogu was the only person on the planet who knew him! (well, one of three). I didn't think it was possible to fuck up Luke even more than The Last Jedi, but Disney was able to do it without even including Luke in the episode! The fight itself. Why don't the Trandoshans and Klatoonians have blasters? Why are they attacking Wookiee with guns with knives? The pykes go on the attack on their own, rather than letting their own droidekas in front. How does Fennec drive easily through the streets being shot through? How did it turn out in such places, from where it can easily shoot all the rations in all the corners of the streets (which is logically impossible)? Why is she doing somersaults? How is her bike in the place that was shot seconds ago? Why didn't Cad Bane and the Pykes shoot Boba, Fennec and Din right after Boba announced there would be no negotiations? Why does Boba lose his temper at the mention of Tusken death? Let me remind you, they captured him, dragged him across the sand on a rope, beat him for fun, enslaved him, treated him worse than a dog until he saved one of them? Why does BOBA FETT say he despises merciless killers? Are you aware that he worked for Darth Vader? Wasn’t he present and chill during the torture of Han Solo, him being freezing alive and feeding people to monsters? He even liked to shoot the Jedi from the ship cannons as a child! Where did Boba and Din fly from? What prevented them from doing this without sending the major house to negotiations? Why did they land instead of continuing to bombard the Pikes from the air or just fly away? How did the Freetown fighters find them? Why can Pykes hit flying targets but can't hit a huge black Wookiee more than once (except for his shoulder pads)? Why didn't the droidekas destroy the speeder right away? Why can't they hit the CROWD in the narrow alley? Why does everyone keep firing at their shields when they see it's useless?! Why would a one-armed girl trade a pistol for a rifle when it didn’t change anything? Why don't droidekas shoot rancor? Are you saying that their cannons can destroy an armored speeder, but they can't seriously injure a rancor? And at the same time, such a monster is afraid of flamethrowers? Why did Peli Moto (lady mechanic) go with a baby to a city where there is a shootout? How did she find Din? How did Din just go through the shield at the exact same moment that the rancor was pushing against the shield with his power and couldn't do it?!!! Why didn’t he cut off the second machine gun, but began to stab between them? Why didn't he cut off his legs when he fell? Why is the droideka trying to crush him instead of shooting him? Why is no one following Grogu? When did Grogu become so strong that he could break a giant robot with the Force? Boba was able to stay on the rancor while it was jumping over rooftops and fighting droidekas, but fell off when the rancor turned away from the flamethrower? Sure... Cad Bane shoots much faster than Boba but can't dodge the stick? By the way, how was Boba able to knock him down and pull out his stick when Cad Bane was literally standing on top of him? It's a shame that such a badass character died in such a terrible show... Why is everyone shooting at the rancor? Didn't everyone see that he was on their side and that the lasers weren't hurting him? How does Din survive when he is smashed through the walls and rancor literally jumps on him?! How did Grogu learn to put animals to sleep with the Force, and such big ones? Luke didn't teach him that... How did Fennec find the mayor and the mob bosses' hideout? How did she shoot them through the roof so accurately? How did she teleport behind the main pyke? Why does everyone in the city love and respect Boba when he destroyed a bunch of houses with his rancor and it was because of him that a battle took place here and people died? Cob Venth was wounded in the shoulder and is being treated in a bacta vessel. What was that red-haired punk going to do with his lighter...ah, I don't care. The mechanic lady and majordomo are now officially the most annoying Star Wars characters, worse than Rose Tico and L3-37. Jar Jar Binks was nowhere near them. Congratulations Robert Rodriguez, you made the worst Star Wars TV episode ever. Yes, worse than the Holiday Special. I haven't seen the Resistance, Ewoks, Droids, Forces of Destiny, or Lego Star Wars, but I don't think it's worth comparing children's cartoons to a big-budget gaming series about one of the cult heroes of the saga. Season summary: We were promised a story about how Boba Fett would build his criminal empire, something similar to The Godfather, but out of 7 episodes, 4 were spent on Tusken flashbacks, which did not affect anything in the end, 2 were about the Mandalorian and Grogu, and 1 was the most miserable battle in history. Great job, Disney. The Mandalorian was bad, Boba Fett was terrible, and now you've got poor Obi-Wan... LEAVE STAR WARS ALONE! Anyway, thank you all for reading.

Basically the second invention in weapons technology for humans was the spear, the first, the knife(rocks and stick clubs don't count as they just exist, they didn't get invented). This means that instead of 'legendary assassins' or an experienced Wookie bounty hunters, a literal caveman would be better than both at killing people. The sequel trilogy needs to be retitled as episodes 10, 11 and 12 with some sort of serious remastering/directors cut type of thing like Lucas did with the OT in the 90’s. Get someone who actually understands Star Wars to sit down with George Lucas and write a proper Trilogy that is a true sequel to the OT and gives some explanation to whatever the f*ck happened in the dumpster fire that was the sequels. The book of Boba Fett seemed like a hard thing to mess up, but here we are. The twins walking up in broad daylight are fine. I mean, trading off your image of the Hutts for invulnerability is fine. It would take a real crazy person to kill a high ranking Hutt. That said, we really missed the opportunity for Boba to be that crazy person. The Luke choice didn't read to me as a forever choice. Grogu will live for probably a thousand years and Luke may have reiterated the attachments speech, but to a basically immortal child, the effect would always be the same. If told, A) you will live forever. B) Dinn's life is but a blip to yours and C) Jedi forgo attachments the only logical choice is to go hang out with your only attachment before coming back to the Jedi. I mean why is the republic on tatoonie its a neutral planet controlled by the hutts in the OUTER RIM which is not republic space its literally illegal what they are doing the empire didnt give a shit cause they are the empire but the republic doesnt? Also why are there meat packing plants in star wars that just look like real life meat packing plants the workers even wear the same outfits. • @Vandicoup

I mostly disagree, except for your last sentence. I think on Tatooine it's because Jabba did die after all. And Bib was merely just a figurehead, a puppet ruler who had no power other than being a patsy for the extended family of Hutts. And because the remaining Hutts never actually directly controlled Tatooine and just let Bib do his thing for the past few years, that's why the New Republic has been patrolling and protecting Tatooine ever since -- and note that we never saw the New Republic actually "on Tatooine." They were only ever just in the space orbit above it. Tatooine just wasn't held as strong as it used to be by the Hutts. Or maybe they've formed a new treaty that allows them specific quadrants of the planet and not just the entire territory, which is why we only ever saw them in orbit and never actually on the ground (so far). I don't know just trying to offer some other perspectives is all. I don't mind the meat packing plants! I always love a fun Star Wars spin on the real world sometimes, for better and for worse lol. Someone's gotta pack the meat in Star Wars after all, just like how we all need a diner to come down to and chillax from time to time. While sometimes admittedly blatant, Star Wars in general has always resembled our real world to various degrees, in all honesty. Yeah, I will admit the Tusken part was rushed and merely served as a plot device just to move Boba onwards. I wish they'd return back to the Tuskens at some point in the show, for some sort of reunion and/or extended arc, but sadly they did not. They just had them killed just so Boba could get out of the desert wastelands and become a Crime Lord. So much potential they lost right there and I was truly digging the Tusken storyline!! :/

I'm also insanely disappointed with this show as it sounded like such a cool idea to have a show with the focus on the powerstructures of Jabbas crime empire after his death and how Boba Fett finds his way in all of this. But it was soooo poorly executed... The Beskarr thing also gets on my nerves. Okay, I can maybe live with it being imune to blaster bolts and lightsaber strikes. However Mando and Boba shouldn't ever stand in the open and rely on that fact, since there is plenty of space to shoot that isn't covered by the armor. Also writers: please don't act like any sort of armor would protect Mando from being crushed through a building. Even if the armor would survive that unscaved, you would be flesh mash inside of it.
