EDIT: Warner Bros ended up claiming the video. So for those of you who've been asking about the increase in ads, that is why. And seeing as I'm an incredibly small channel there's really zero chance I'd be able to dispute it. But the video is still up at the very least (for some reason) so all the usual algo stuff still def helps me out! Had to go a bit overboard with the overlays because YT's copyright bot has been hell bent on blocking the video. If it goes down again I'll try to get it up asap. Either way, hope you all enjoy! ✌

What kills me is that the blueprint for this film exists in The flashpoint paradox. That movie would have been perfect as a send off for the Snyderverse AND to reboot WB’s entire DC universe. Imagine Jason mamoa and gal Gadot locked in a war, and Jeffery Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne Batman!!! It’s a missed opportunity not only for a movie, but for the future plans of James Gunn’s DCU

I think we can all agree that pretty much everyone making superhero movies these days hate comicbooks? BvS could've been epic, Thor Ragnarok could've been epic. Love and Thunder could've been epic. So many movies could've been epic if people just respected the source material.

  • @darkii154

@@TG-ge1ohBvS was pretty epic though? Thor Ragnarok i don’t remember much but Thor Love and Thunder was just an insult to Thor that made no sense hence why I didn’t watch it. At least everything in BvS extended cut was written well from start to finish, with great action, drama and pacing. Batmans hate for superman, Superman’s dislike for Batman, even Lex’s vendetta with superman (as twisted as it was) all made sense from a narrative perspective and the end was just the icing on top that actually made Zack Snyders Justice league even better. I still don’t get people who say it could’ve been better when it was a pretty good movie.

  • @TG-ge1oh

    @TG-ge1oh

@@darkii154 Look, if you like Snyder's work, you like it, and I have no wish to push my like and dislikes onto you. My own niece, who is a professional critic, likes them too, and just last month we agreed to disagree on this exact thing 🤷‍♂️. But just as a friendly banter, here's why I personally say that Snyder doesn't respect (or like) comicbooks. Or it could be that his storytelling is poor: If we look at either BvS or Snyder Cut, we can tell that they loosely adapt plots that have previously occurred in the comics, right? There are multiple instances of Apocolyptians attacking Earth. Sometimes Superman is dead before they come. Sometimes he has to recruited into the JLA first. Sometimes he is stuck in Apocolypse, and so on. In each of these stories executed in the comics or animated series/movies, we see a nice pacing where our protagonists are first in trouble, then come up with a plan, then struggle to execute it, then it looks like they won't succeed, and then finally they do. Like any decent story with a causal relation between events. With Snyder Cut, does it look like Batman faces much of a challenge when forming the league, or that the pacing is tight with all those pointless scenes and slow mos, and cameos. Or that the protagonists are truly struggling? Compared to the New 52 rendition of this story, in comic or in the animated movie, for example? If the previously occuring comicbook and animation does it in a smaller size and yet tighter plot, then why is the latest interpretation so bloated, is my point. Same with BvS. We have seen that fight so many times. Sometimes they are both old, sometimes it's the Russian Superman, sometimes it's worlds converging. But the story has been done many times before, and it's always easy to see the flow of it. In contrast, could you explain Luthor's entire plan to someone in one sentence? Or why the fight starts at all, and only ends with Martha? Or why Doomsday needed to be retconned and is no longer one of the most iconic and greatest Superman villains in this movie? Because I sure can't. It seems to me like Snyder deliberately ruins well-known and much-beloved story arcs by mixing things up with no justification and terrible outcome. But these are my opinions, and you are absolutely free to disregard them if you think they are wrong 😊.

  • @TG-ge1oh

@leonneldayoc5715 It ripped off several comicbooks and animated movies with that plot. I mean seriously, if 9 out of 10 stories with Darkseid is a spin on the classic earth invasion story done well, why did Snyder have to make one that has no head or tail? If he wanted an original story, he could've done an original story. Doing the same old story again just makes it easier to see how much he failed at copying something that people before him had no trouble with.

I don't like this generalization blaming it all on "modern writers" when there's such a mountain of other production issues and bad studio interference that has plagued much of this defunct cinematic universe. Sure some times it's really just writers not being good at their job or being spiteful and unprofessional like Netflix's the Witcher, but considering the wide spread shit working conditions that spurred the recent strikes it's not hard to see why so many projects just phone it in writing wise, at some point it's just a lost cause. Not saying the writers of this film are geniuses or anything, from what I've seen they don't have the most exciting resume, but had Flash not been such a production nightmare perhaps they could've cooked up something decent even if extremely mediocre, or at least it would be of a more somewhat coherent direction, even actually good writers would struggle with such a mess of circumstances.

@@michaelkeudel8770Hard disagree, the movie is trash top to bottom and the issue isn't the lead actor being a criminal and horrible person, it is the fact that the production evidently never cared about making a solid product in any regard and hoped to make money simply because they had big names attached to it. In other words; it's not cancel culture to point out that the producer is out of touch and incompotent to make such a ridiculous and heinous comment as he thought of nothing but the movies image. The movie exists for no other reason but to make money and it clearly shows due to the fact that there is literally not a single aspect of the movie that was handled competently. I find it perfectly acceptable to refuse any and all support of such utter garbage, if they want people to see and like the movie they should do a better job of making it. (For example; since it is just "a fictional story with people playing the roles" then he can be replaced with another person. Why use the one person people don't like to play the biggest role? Why not at least use someone else? Why use the guy everyone has come to hate and hope "people forget about it?" It shows ineptitude and callousness.) It is not the audiences job to be satisfied with whatever trash big companies try to shove down our throats, it is the companies responsibility to make a satisfying product. You can disagree with me and like the movie if you want but don't just discredit other peoples opinions by crying "cancel culture," if that comment made by a producer is enough of a turn off then it is that persons right to refuse the product, no further justification needed. (Btw "cancel culture" isn't actually a thing, as long as you have fans/people that support you then you aren't canceled, if you lose all your fans/people supporting you that is because you did something that makes people want to stop supporting you meaning it is merely a consequence of your own actions.)

From what I can remember, the lasso of truth doesn't even work that way. Yes, simply touching it even when its not being actively used by Diana can force the truth out of someone, but only when they're already speaking themselves or being asked a question. So like, even if they actively tried to lie, it would just come out as the truth. It doesn't just compel you to speak and admit deeply held personal secrets arbitrarily, it has to be prompted in some way. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe there's a single instance of it being used that way under the direction of a specific writer in a specific issue, but I don't remember ever seeing it work like that (I've been reading comics for almost 30 years). In fact it's quite the opposite, as far as I remember the lasso of Hestia can also be resisted in a handful of ways. If you don't know the truth it won't work to draw it out of you, it doesn't work if you've gaslit yourself into believing the lie or are otherwise disillusioned by the truth, and it can be resisted entirely by those with strong wills. Seeing as how Batman's will is among the strongest in the verse right behind characters like Hal Jordan, it's just goofy to me that he wouldn't be able to casually resist the lasso when it's not even being used directly on him.

also might i remind you that the cartoon where flash had to get his powers back, which the totally nicked the visual of the chair and shelves from, actually spoke more to his character as the first failed attempt set him on fire and resulted in him being heavily injured but he still went again because he knew if he gave up the world was fucked and he had to put himself through it to save the world, the flash is a pretty damn good character in that regard despite how goofy he can be he always puts others first and is willing to put himself through hell in the process, this guy on the other hand is a clown person playing dress up by comparison

pisses me off how Zack basically made The Flash have one of the greatest scenes of a comic book film and by proving himself he could be one of the best of the best, but the writers instead made Flash to be an idiot who has no idea what he's doing 99% of the time. Even tho it is shown that Barry is extremely careful with his speed since he does not want to break the "don't travel beyond the speed of light." rule. Although I do agree that Flash is the comic relief of the Justice League next to Cyborg, he isn't an idiot since he can basically think faster than anyone else.

The funniest thing about this movie is the idea that this was resetting the universe but would continue to keep Ezra flash. We have to assume that the post flashpoint world we saw would be the new universe, but then George Clooney won’t be playing Batman in the future. They just wanted to waste money on pointless cameos and somehow managed not to have the cameos that mattered. Did they legitimately think that it made sense to have all these alternative supermen in this instance instead of different flashes?

It does a lot to make the concept of the multiverse look interesting from an artistic standpoint as opposed to have everyone look like ps3 characters failing miserably to pass as real, plus there's no morally bankrupt resurrecting of dead actors when the cameos don't use the likeness of real dead people.

Inconsistency is the key word for this entire movie. Also, one thing I always found weird about these Flash movies is how insanely fast and responsive the police is. Literally seconds after the new Flash has caused a major accident in the middle of the city, there is a police chopter above him. In the lab scene, as they are about to leave after getting hit by the lightning, there is a full task force coming in armed to their teeth within less than 2 minutes of the event. Even for a private company, that is insanely fast unless they literally worked there 24/7 which I find hard to believe. Anyway, these are just some of the minor things I noticed that weren't mentioned in the video. Agreed with everything else.

Yes the speedy Gonzalez bit was extremely cringey, but being super excited to try it out that you immediately fuck up, burn off all your clothes and cause an accident, is a great way of showing his ignorance and lack of thought and experience. Also he is the "bad barry" so HIM blowing off what he just did doesn't surprise me, but yeah maybe a scene a bit later during a training montage where Barry 1 has Barry 2 fix or payback the people he fucked over woulda been nice.

His apparent character growth isn't exactly earned when the aforementioned is only done in the scene itself. Hell, even at the beginning of this movie Barry hasn't exactly grown character wise. Maybe even digressed considering he essentially forgot how dangerous time itself can be, something he knew before the whole plot had even started.

This movie's time travel logic is very dumb. It would have been better if it had Eobard Thawne messing with time to cause all those ripples in time before Barry messed with the tomatoes.

The original Flashpoint Paradox was a time travel movie that ended with a multiverse. Barry traveled back in time and was affected himself with the action because he never became the Flash. While The Flash movie was a time travel AND multiverse movie. It was going to fail no matter what because all the multiverse parts were just nostalgia bait as well.

They rushed into Justice League and they rushed into Flashpoint. Here the flash barely knows iris, Batman, rest of the JL, has no nemesis i.e. Reverse Flash and is insanely dumb to not keep energy bars on him since that's now a thing. If only they didn't rush to get *anything* out then the DCEU would've been great. Flashpoint source material was 10/10 but it doesn't matter because they already have a Batman that kills and their Joker is Jared Leto, apparently.

Or, you know, actually find out who was the real culprit as Central City (assuming if it exists in this turd movie) was quick to throw Henry into the slam when he was at the store and with a car as well, with only Barry at home when the murder happened. And don't get me how changing the past creates not a new timeline but another freaking universe? Nothing makes sense logically.

"Electrocution" means "death by electricity". If anything good comes out of this movie, I hope it's that Ezra Miller takes something positive from his character's lines ands applies them to his own life to, say, become a better person.

This movie is a total desrespect to Flash fans. We literally waited almost 20 years for his movie (the project begins to be developed in 2004) to came out only to be turned into this massive corporative garbage fire with ZERO effort or love for the character and his world. This version of Flash is/was played by Ezra Miller, just that is already a big defeat, but they turned the character into this retarded selfish and strange dude, who's not a hero at all, his side characters had been turned into nothing (Iris West is only in 3 scenes and they butchered her), his parents are morrons, the Speed Force is poorly represented, they mistake time travel with multiverse, etc... I also hate the fact that WB had absolutely no faith in Flash to carry a movie on his own, so they have to adapt Flashpoint (one of the most overrated DC stories ever written) with the excuse to put multiple Batmen, Wonder Woman, a Supergirl that's just a female Superman, bringing back Zod, etc... Instead of doing a simple Flash movie, where he fights Captain Cold or Mirror Master, with no multiverse, no time travel and with a decent actor playing Barry Allen. The character deserved so much more than being reduced as a plot device in a shitty """"solo"""" movie. The worst part is that CW was able to do The Flash justice, the first couple seasons are pretty great and EVERYTHING this failed attempt of a movie tries to make the TV show did it 100x better.

Between this and the plot of Pixar's Lightyear I get the feeling someone in Hollywood thought "time travelling adventure dealing with themes of grief and loss whose antagonist turns out to be an alternate timeline version of the protagonist" was the magic formula for success. The "bad guy and good guy are the same guy" idea was certainly thrilling, though, at least the first hundred thousand times

It truly is a shame because the movie had so much fucking potential to be a good movie but the cgi at times were so fucking bad that its hard to even defend the movie and its like that throughout. Some small details being inconsistent like Barry getting shot and not instantly healing. I personally am in love with the flash comics, shows (even though it ended horribly) but this movie could've done so much better and its a shame that it flopped. I would've love to see what they'd do with Eobard in Flash 2.

long ago ...in a time before time... the way back time... a time when intel chip sets ruled the earth people were called emo for thinking dark and gritty was cool. however this preference comes back in style from time to time. bale batman kind of is a nice clean but not so campy batman with no need for quips. why not continue that artistic direction moving forward? disneys stupid box office results. if it didnt even get $750 mil warner seems to have thought it was a failure. the sopranos, walking dead, west world, first 4 seasons of game of thrones all demonstrate dark sells and the boys shows it can work as cape shit though the boys has a lot of comedy. it maybe said that "the batman" was a attempt by warner to add darkness to gothams movie line. the flash is the middle child of dc movies and the flash is a very special boy who ride the short bus to school so im not sure what any one was hoping for

Putting babies in microwaves, stealing from the elders, drugging people, not caring about people getting hurt, having the intellect of a can of tomato soup, sounds like just actual Ezra Miller to me. This movie makes less and less sense with each minute, it's absurd how time travel has rules and consequences in one moment and no rules and zero consequences in another.

The movie attempting to explain something doesn't automatically make it a good explanation. Barry moving the can so that his dad wouldn’t have to go to the store wouldn't inherently change anything. The killer would just wait for another opportunity to kill his mom. If Barry is going to completely disregard the butterfly effect to ensure that his mom doesn't get shanked, then it would make more sense for him to discover who it is that wants his mom dead and stop them.

  • @Chi-Drumming

I figured the implication is that the killer would be stopped by his dad and then put in prison, but I suppose the movie didn't outright state that. I think the reason they never showed the killer from a movie making perspective is they wanted to save the reverse flash for a sequel @@MediaMana
