Reva is so patently evil that the only reason she spared Luke was when she saw the most important person in the galaxy in his place; herself.

I'm so outraged at what they did to Bail. He was one of my favourite side characters. Strong, brave, kind, and one with dignity. The way he talks about always wanting a daughter always made me think he'd truly love her and raise her with care. That they made him such a fool in this show is infuriating.

imagine that this show is 7/10 on IMDB. Man, if people weren't so gullible and downright stupid, disney would have gone bancrupt from hiring all those upvoting bots.

Disney writers never disappoint, these parodies are amazing.

Shows cost three times as much and take four times as long to make as they did 20 years ago with half the length and lower quality to boot. Short high budget shows didn't create a golden age of television, it ended it.

A lot of is simply corprate greed. Also a lot of it is simply the least amount of effort for maximum profits. No attempts at making a quality project. NONE! Its not just in media, its in a lot of other areas as well. Airline flights for instance...

When all is said and done, Star Wars now currently owned by Disney is no more than fan fiction with a legal copyright. That is it, period. Because of that copyright Disney can employ the original actors to play the parts, utilize John Williams' music fully, and basically defile the entire story, but as for storylines, again, it's fan fiction. The only soul on this world who can add or omit canon is George Lucas, maybe Dave Filoni as he worked very closely with George for a long time. However, Georges' frustration with Disney has pretty much seen him sadly walk away from his own created opus.

We really need to stop referring to these people as writers.

Remember when Luke's lightsaber bounced off of Vader's pauldrons in Empire? Lightsabers have always been inconsistent.

Star Wars is not a Comic Book Superhero Franchise. Disney keep trying to make something solid out of this, but to make a successful Star Wars show/Movie takes considerably more work and refinement than slapping together a superhero with whatever you find in the garage. One is a pretty straightforward recipie: Superhero, power/ability + Villan + Stakes + Struggles + eventual defeat of villan = Superhero movie/show Star wars is a space-opera/epic with western themes and tones, in a lived in, imperfect universe where the various characters each contribute to the overall story/opera. The only reason IMO Mando works is because he naturally fits the themes/universe and is an entirely fresh character, and he is no superhero (just like Star Wars, the characters besides Mando contribute to the overall story/epic/opera). Everything else is either milked from characters that already had their time and place, and Disney can't really figure out how to give them their own streamlined story, or something new that does not fit into the universe at all and has not earned their place within it. It is not earth and some magical planet where superhero comes from that you can make up and just plonk inwithout any consideration for how accepting the universe is of it. Star wars is a universe with rules, and if you break those rules, and put something new in there, the breaking of those rules, must be lead to, and followed with cuase, and effect, of such feat and magnitude that the breaking of the rules defines the character in a believably extraordinary way, such that it is a genuine feat. Rather than a given because Disney needs a character that has X, Y, Z superpower. (Space opera). Disney bend and break those rules as if it's the MCU, where rules do not exist. It doesn't work that way. You can't do that and expect the same results. Star Wars is not superficial. You can't just pull something out of your A**, and expect it to be accepted as a given off the bat.

It took years to come to terms with the death of star wars, now like everyone I love that passed I accept the fact Star Wars is dead and won't see a true Star Wars piece of media again.

I know it's bad to be mad at actors, but damn, I hate how Leia's actress is running, it looks so stupid!! And don't even let me start on Reeva's character. She's a fine actress, but without proper direction she is just loud and annoying, but somehow omniscient with a shoehorned redemption story, that doesn't work at all.

I'd recommend checking out the 4k77/Despecialized Editions of the original trilogy. They're fan-edited restorations of George's original unaltered trilogy, before he added a bunch of CGI. they're amazing

I'd hate to think what they would do to Leia if they ever gave her her own show. She'd probably go nuclear (like that chick from lotr) with the force and espouse the highest of virtues and something about global warming... and something about real life politics, etc, etc. Maybe she can use the force to slap every male and male adjacent lifeform in the galaxy.

I don't understand why Disney don't just make more original content set in the Star Wars universe. They clearly want to do their own thing. They want kids to watch it, and what connection would they have to characters from the late 70s and early 80s? Their entire reason for doing this was to tell "their story" I can't wait for this wave of inept, untested and untalented creatives to move on. I only hope that one day talent returns. I'm surprised that your're a star wars fan at all, tbh. 1, if for nothing else, than hate is the literal path to the dark side. 2, This series was absolutely brilliant, and did an amazing job portraying the trauma Obi-Wan went through, and showed character progression from his defeated self living in fear to his more experienced normal self that has grown far more powerful than you can possibly imagine. 3, Did you even watch Obi vs Vader?? 4, Leia wasn't outsmarting Obi-Wan, she more represented the independent calm free thinker that Obi-Wan used to be and helped him to return to that. If you go back to clone wars, this behavior is more present. 5, We finally have the technology that can make huge force powers look amazing and you're gonna nag because it was too much?? Do or do not, there is no try; Size matters not. Obi-wan was probably the most powerful Jedi in the universe at this point, or at least one of the top. He was already a master with a lightsaber, renown for his style, and he was always strong with the force (became the 3rd force ghost). Just the same with Vader. He was the most powerful force user aside from Sidious, and he had so much anger and hate, I wasn't shocked whatsoever when he snatched the ship out of the sky, if anything I was surprised that he didnt do it to the 2nd one. IDK, i just dont like when people have to hate on things instead of just appreciating it for what it was. The story is what it is, its not ours to decide how they go. Just enjoy the ride, how many other franchises can boast this longevity, and have cared so much about both continuity of story and characters. I challenge y'all to start pointing out positives instead
