44:20 as a carpenter I can tell you that turned wood is an object carved from a whole log. Its called turned because the log is rotated while chiselled into a shape. So, if the lance is 8-9 foot tall it was made from an entire tree trunk. Such a large would object, made with old techniques of that period, would have needed master craftmen labouring for months or years.

Around 1:12:00 Dunk throws a copper (star?) down between Egg’s feet. Then as he leaves the shadows grow (by the shadow) as he reaches Ashford (Ashaii). Seems like a reenactment of Azor Ahai pulling down a meteor to corrupt the land by his capitol city. May be more in the language.

The next paragraph beginns "The shadows grew longer...". So there are white moon trees, stars and Dunk feel watched, and there are shadows. It sounds like Other's are watching with there star eyes.

Also, ton of Jesus in the Arlan burial. The grail is in brown, the thing containing Christ's blood is in the earth, Arlan is buried. Odin's not the only "speared to the wood" Godguy; the lance also evokes the Lance of Longinus. (And I have a tinfoil notion that Arlan comes back as Steely Pate. Dunk calls the Smith "the old man," acts as if he already knows Pate, and Baelor dies at Pate's hands. As if Arlan/Pate is settling the score.) WHEYFaced inn woman = Waif? Blood and pennies share a smell. So Dunk's fistful of pennies = Ned's blood-covered hand

Dunk comes to an Inn, which could represent a weirwood or a weirwood cave. He meets a child, coming up from a stream, legs covered in mud. The Cranogmen who are close to the Children of the Forest are called mudmen.

At the 2 hr 40 minute mark, it hasn’t been posed yet by you two whether Dunc was actually Knighted by Sir Arlen. It’s not too consequential either way. If true, probably just George pointing out yet again that “true knights” are better and more rare than real knighted knights. When trying to sign up for the lists, his ears turn red as he says he is a Knight. And in the opening scenes when he’s pondering whether or not to be a sell sword (I think), he says “unless…” As in, “unless… I pretend to be a knight.” Not my observations… In Deep Geek pointed me to that one.

The tourney will change the price of Egg. He starts off as a naked orphen stable boy, who looks like an egg, worth a copper. During the story, he haches into a golden dragon, a prince and ultimately a king.

You can say he has done the opposite transformation before the story from a prince to a stable boy. A dragon hiding behind the eggshell. At the end of this story, he will do the same again.

Dunk is doing a similar thing. An orphan boy pretending to be a knight, hiding his shame and insecurity behind the shell of his armour and shield. He will eventually grow into his role, becoming what he pretends to be.

Prince Daeron is also doing a similar thing. He is a knight who doesn't want to be a knight, who runs away from his duties. He is drinking himself down into the mud. He could have been King of the Seven Kingdoms. He is a prophet but runs away. Trying to drown himself in alcohol instead.
