The Griekwastad Farm Murders
When the Steenkamp family was brutally murdered on April 6th, 2012, people in the area assumed it was a farm attack. Their 15-year-old son, Don, was lucky to have made it out alive, but when the details of his story started not adding up, authorities realized that the killer was closer than they originally thought.

Monsters, love monsters disgusting
This is absolutely disgusting. 20 years? For annihilating his whole family? And viciously S/A his own sister ??? What a freaking disgrace for a judicial system. At least 20 years for EACH member would have been better. When he gets out , he will still have Plenty of time to still enjoy life with no regrets while living off his family inheritance-blood money. Very creepy to see his family member ls hug him as if he was this innocent little boy? Did they not know about the evidence?

He was sentenced to the maximum that's allowed for a juvenile. In SA, if you're under 18, regardless of your crime, you will not be tried and sentenced as an adult. It's a disgrace, yes however that's how our justice system.... We're one of the few countries in the world that actually releases serial killers as a life sentence is only 25 years, and even if you receive 20 life sentences, they're ALWAYS concurrent.

One correction at 23:29... SA does not have juries. For high court cases we have a judge and 2 adjudicators, so the judge was addressing the court with his summary, not asking the jury anything.
“Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?' 'To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.' 'The dog did nothing in the night-time.' 'That was the curious incident,' remarked Sherlock Holmes.”
I appreciate the work you do. I’ve listened and/or watched everything. Some of them, twice.

The fact he wouldve thought his plan was foolproof... for me, the dogs are the evidence I need to know it was an inside job. Im always amused when well-off psychopaths try to stage a robbery and leave the obvious items like gold watches and cash.. they just dont place any value on such things any more than the people they harm in the process. Thats just as telling in my book.
I love it when you do South African cases. I know this case and I know Don from childhood. But just cuz I love your videos❤ and all the detail in the research you do to bring us monsters lovers the absolute best content.

Then you'll know he was raped at the Boarding school, before he transferred to the local school......all swept under the carpet by the authorities. Other boys were also raped there. A certain female journalist stated this, after research. That is the origin of all this evil. The teacher walked away......obviously connected to the Authorities.
23:28 just fyi, there's no jury in SA, just the judge and other court officials (can't remember what they are called, but they assist and advise the judge throughout).

The most terrifying aspect of this case is the 20 year sentence. The only way this maniac doesn't reoffend is if he dies in prison. Not giving this creep a life sentence guarantees someone or perhaps several people will have their lives ruined.

If South Africa has an equivilent to a sex offenders register, this guy needs to be on it. No one should be allowed to sexually abuse a child (let alone his own sister) and not be held accountable, kind of like how Josh Duggar abused his sisters and went on to download child pornography (which is abusing a child because those children are revictimised every time someone views that content).
