Has anyone considered that Sauron became Sauron out of sheer frustration from living with Galadriel for a few months? Thanks Galadriel.

I whole heartedly believe Sauron was on his way to Valinor to turn himself in, then he was afflicted by Galadriel and just dragged along until he figured he'd save the elves and maybe she'd let him go, so he did and she tried to kill him, and the at that point he realized that if he went back, she'd follow and everyone in Valinor would have to suffer her for eternity and so he made the ultimate sacrifice and decided to become the Dark Lord to make her stay in exile. Sauron, the true hero of Middle Earth.

There's so many TV shows and movies nowadays that have the same holes in them like when the characters have world breaking abilities for no reason, or they don't have an ability again that they had once that saved the day but came about unexplained, characters forgetting that they said something in an earlier episode that contradicts what they say later. Or how unnatural characters act, getting hysterical over nothing, preaching political lies, or being completely backwards etc.

Its a double uno reverse tactic, they made it so it reflects how a strong and indepented woman is in this century and reflects our world, because they wanted to show strong female woke character, but in reality are just trying to hide the true power galadriel actualy has in the REAL original story where she is far stronger, wiser and better in every way than any female from our world could ever be. Well, you have to remember that in RoP, Middle Earth is TINY. Either that or they've given Galadriel the ability to warp time and space around herself. How else did she travel, on foot, from the frozen north back to Eregion (a trip of about 800 miles) in just a couple days? How else did she sail from Middle Earth to Valinor (around 1500 miles) in just a couple days? How else did she enable the Numenorians to sail from Numenor to the southlands (about 1000 miles) in two days? When she jumped into the sea, none of the other elves were concerned because they figured she'd just warp space again and allow herself to swim back to Middle Earth in an hour or two.

Galadriel is insanely perfect, especially for the niece of Faenor. In fact, she's written to be so beautiful, so powerful, so magical by Tolkien that she works best as a periphery character and not at all like a lead character. To make Galadriel a believable main character, one has to endow her with a bunch of qualities and traits Galadriel does not have. To make Galadriel a main character is to always invite power-characters, 'mary-sueing,' so on and so forth, because characters as powerful as Galadriel are meant to serve as allies, counsel, or an obstacle to a hero's journey: Not BE the hero of a journey. ANY focus on Galadriel is bound to be a failure by the very design of the character by Tolkien and their purpose in the overall narrative.

You've hit it right on the head. Galadriel was always meant to be the mythological 'Goddess' that renders aid and wisdom to the Hero. It's integral to who she is. You just can't make that into a main character without completely altering it. It just doesn't work.

She's not always like that. One can always write her Journey to become who she is by the time she meets our Heroes. If they're good enough writers.

68% of the audience for "House of the Dragon," the "Game of Thrones" prequel, is concentrated in the 18-49 age group, according to Nielsen. But "The Rings of Power" is struggling to attract younger viewers. It leans older, with 71% of its audience over 35 years of age. A quick look at TikTok shows that the "#TheRingsofPower" hashtag has 619 million views as of Friday, while the "#HouseoftheDragon" hashtag has 5.1 billion views. The funny thing in this comparison is that we are comparing a family show with a show strictly for adults. The main problem with Rings of Power is that writers had no clue what they were writing and who the show was for.

I genuinely feel for Morfydd Clark, an absolute dream part which sadly she doesn't seem to be able to fill, too young to challenge the script writers, having to deliver her lines totally dead pan, is it her choice or is that the direction, don't know but its going to be hard for her recover from this disaster.
