I’m a die hard Warriors fan from the East Bay and I have always rooted against the Lakers and Westbrook throughout my time watching NBA playoff games. Now that the Warriors have won a title without KD, I now feel bad for Russ. It sucks to see a future hall of famer end his career like that. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but other than the Dubs, I’m kind of rooting for Russ and the Lakers because I hate to see the disrespect and how far he has fallen. I now want Russ to have a 2011 Dirk run. I was in late middle school, early high school when Russ and KD spent most of their time in OKC. I now look back fondly at how exciting Russ was to watch. His attitude has to change though if he wants to win

It's how both of these guys make it so hard to like them. Pat Bev has that classic, I was a low draft pick that just kept grinding and finally made it thing going but he stay doing sketchy shit and makes it hard to take his "I'm just a tough defender" schtick seriously. It's kinda like (though not as severe) as Vontaze Burfict. Like, yeah, you're scrappy, but you also keep doing dumb shit man. And Russ? Like, pretty much the same part of me that wants to like Pat Bev wants to like him, but he's just such a dumbass. His refusal to make any real changes in his game even as the walls slowly close in around him and it's hard to come away with the sentiment that he absolutely deserves what's happening. It's one thing if he tried and failed to change up his game, but he hasn't even tried to.
