@@tashrif46 Yeah that's flabbergasting to me. What makes this worst is that it's a top 10 all-time conversation, not even just a player comparison (and I still wouldn't put KD over Shaq or Hakeem). KD in the top 10 of all-time is not credible. The all-time list is something in which KD by definition isn't on upper levels like those. He always stayed in that late 20s mark.

Idek if he's on the top 10 yet for me but definitely not above Shaq or Hakeem.. KD is one of those unguardable scorers but Shaq and Hakeem are just as dominant, probably more so than KD. Once they have the ball in the paint all u can probably do is pray.

KD going at Chuck because of the "army of producers they have" is wild. Sure, TNT had a bunch of producers but does anyone REALLY think anything of what Chuck says is stage or pre-planned? All they can do is try to silence some of his non PC comments like the San Antonio women jokes but they ain't telling him what to say.

I agree that KD is an incredibly gifted scorer, arguably the greatest in the NBA and one of the greatest scorers of all time. But to me he's just not in that conversation for best player in the NBA and it's mostly based on results. I can't put my finger on what he does wrong, but there's a reason that this guy never won a title on his own team. He only won when he joined a stacked GSW team. A team that won a title before him and has won a title after him. If he were really one of the greatest players of all time, then wouldn't it be the other way around? I can't stand Lebron, but championships follow Lebron wherever he seems to go. KD isn't the same. Drama and dysfunction seem to follow him. Part of being a great player in a team sport is leadership: those intangible abilities to inspire your teammates both on and off the court. I don't think KD has that skill at all. I don't see him as a leader in any sense of the word. Until he develops that skill, I'm not putting him in a greatest of all time list.

I have always wondered why people have said that Kevin Durant is the best scorer of all time. I mean if he had the hunger of kobe or MJ he would be. But anyway I looked up some players to give you a sample of prolific scoring and see what y'all think: *************scoring stats************* -Kevin Durant: **10, 50 point games **55 career high ** 27.2 career average **career 3 pt% 38.4 career fg%49.6 -Kobe Bryant: **26, 50 point games **81 career high **25.0 career average. **career 3 pt% 32.9 career fg% 44.7 -Michael Jordan: **39, 50 point games **69 career high **30.1 career average **career 3pt% 32.7 career fg% 49.7 -James Harden: **23, 50 point games **61 career high **24.9 career average **career 3 pt% 36.1 career fg% 44.2 -Lebron James: **15, 50 point games **61 career high **27.1 career average **career 3pt% 34.6 career fg% 50.5 So im saying he seems like he is at the elite level, but he doesn't transcend anyone, in anything. He is just really good at everything (we also need to remember Kobe and MJ played in a time period where 3 point shooting was discouraged and even the "specialists" barely shot them.... Steve Kerr who was about as good as it gets from a specialists standpoint shot 1.8, 3 pointers a game for his career lol

They come out of a TO with 6 secs and the play is KD iso for the win at the top where he gets the ball 35ft out. He uses his shoulder to push back the defender on his heels but he goes into no man's land. He whirled away from a help defender, turns his back to the rim to locate the 3pt line then whirled back around and up for a turnaround for the win and came down with a tie. He blew it and the screw up completely melted him down in OT.

KD himself said a couple months ago in an interview with JJ Reddick, that in the Bucks series he felt that the way Bucks guarded him was as if it was a regular season game and the Bucks was the best defensive team in that playoffs btw. The game plan, which buck players confirmed, was to let KD cook and shut down everyone else….now in hindsight watching the Nets-Celtics series that was a huge mistake…cos the bucks played into KD’s strengths which is ISO scoring and the Celtics to KD weakness which is playmaking( blitzed him, double teams, traps etc.) Now saying all that, KD’s historic performance and the series going to the wire was more of another coach Bud disaster-class than anything else. KD is great don’t get me wrong but he can’t beat you by himself(no one can)…only if you let him. Strategy matters a lot in the playoffs. Now teams have the blueprint for KD and he has to adapt.

And skilled? Huh...what abilities are in that category. Because you have to set standard first...and how are you going to score that abilities. But kerr said it KD is more skilled, yes he might be in the practice the way kerr see it with his standards but he never said about specific details. But I saw KD struggling with hard physical defence...can he show that skills on the court in 90s? Because in every sports even if you have skills, and you don't have physical to back them up, you cannot perform in court. But maybe KD can bulk up and adapt to 90s physical. Who knows? I used to play football when I mean soccer, I played with korean national player with better skilled than many european players, but couldn't perform his 100%skills because of his physical weakness. To perform the best there must be a balance between physical and skill and its different for every players with their heights, frames, balance etc. KD needs to bulk up to be better player. He is best scorer without strengh, but I can see he really struggles whem players really challenges physically hard. At Golden State he didn't need to bulk up with curry, thompson widening the court, draymonds help, iguodala backing him up. They really made kd looked like he had no weakness.

Kyrie is lost. That's why he converted to Islam last year. But now he is using his religion as a way of mitigating and devaluing critique. He thinks himself the new Kareem Abdul Jabbar and thats bullshit. Kareem knew he had a platform to create change. The way the media treated Kareem - when he refused the draft and the olympic slot because of how african americans were being treated - was awful. But Kyrie is not a victim of racial circumstance and bias here. He is a victim of his own arrogance and ignorance. Ignorance towards the importance of the vaccine (the guy was a flat earther for a good five years, and he trusts his own judgement?) and arrogance to believe you not only know better (when its been proved you don't), but the arrogance to think everyone else is living in the fantasy and you are the only one without blinders. My guy. Come on.

Idk man, the vaccine is sketchy and it's been proven it didn't even stop people from spreading covid, and can have an outsized risk of affecting healthy athletes with Miocarditis. There really was no reason for any major athletes to get it as more information about it came out. Not saying he's the new Kareem, but he may have single handedly affected NYC's vaccine policies, which, like it or not, is using his position to affect change, whether you agree with the change or not. He's not worthy of being compared to Kareem, but he is the only guy in the NBA who seems to actually stand up for his own unpopular beliefs no matter what anyone else thinks about him. So in that regard, he kinda is closer to Kareem than anyone else. If the NBA itself plasters BLM all over the courts, then you're not being independent for supporting BLM. Kyrie probably would have just gotten cut if he was any other player, but he stuck to his guns and used his platform to affect change even when the entire league and media roasts him and calls him an idiot. Gotta respect it

I think talking poorly of someone who made a decision in the interest of they're own personal health is messed up. It's life and health are more important than basketball. It's literally just a game. The reason this team didn't do well is mostly due to the coaching staff and Ben Simmons not being healthy. But then to have everyone in the media come out and basically invalidate his choice and say they know better is stupid. So defending himself isn't lacking accountability. It's simply telling them they have no control over what he chooses to do with his body, no matter how big they're platform is. I think the real question we have to ask is why does everyone feel like they no kyries body and health better than he does.

I will say this in the most respectful way as I don't view people who are vaccine hesitant as second class citizen. But the argument of personal choice does not apply here since this is a public health crisis. What you choose to do in turn affects everyone else around you. You should know that the vaccines have been shown to be effective in fighting against COVID. And the technology used for these vaccines has been worked on long before the pandemic took over our lives. The only argument Kyrie used for not taking the vaccine (personal choice) is without weight, so he has no good/valid reason to hold this stance. For that, he must be criticized since his decision is affecting everyone around him.
