The Grizzlies are literally now a top 3 rival for the Warriors whole dynasty along with Cleveland and Houston, and we are still not done with this current rivalry. I am loving what I'm seeing, can't wait for Christmas.

I aint sayin the grizzlies would beat the warriors straight up but they can give them a run for their money. Rivalries are meant to be purely competitive no matter how many games the two teams cross paths. Thats what the grizzlies and warriors are giving us every game from the birth of the dynasty and the peak of the grit n grind era all the way to today, that competitive fire is still there..

I was at Game 2 in Memphis. It was without a doubt the most intense atmosphere of any game I’ve ever attended. The Grizzlies are lacking that 1 Veteran that needs to mention the entire team to the next level. I hope they get it this time.

What makes this such a great rivalry is the fact that it’s all about ball. None of it is personal attacks that have dudes trynna throw hands over nothing. It’s all about hoops, and I love it.

I'm pretty sure the Warriors gave that game 5 to the Grizzlies intentionally because they wanted to won it on their home floor in game 6. Kerr knew what he was doing with that substitutions to make sure that they're not going to win in case the players were not on the same page.

What Rivalry?

This is not a rival, just another game that the Warriors love to win.

I wonder if Kings and Warriors will be played on Christmas Day next season. Wouldn't surprise me if Kings get Christmas game. Game between Kings and Warriors had highest view in ABC in decades if not more. Kings are looking like a must see TV for the first time since early 2000s. Had only 2 games on National TV last season during regular season, but that is expected to change thanks to Fox becoming all star for the 1st time plus getting NBA Inaugural Clutch Player of the Year, Mike Brown getting Coach of the year(1st ever ananimous award), plus Sabonis all star plus 37 votes for being an MVP. Get used to it Kings fans, there may be a lot of National TV games.

@@tooforwon241 not a warriors fan. the storylines were blown out of proportion. all the podcasts i listen to were done with this series. golden state beat Memphis in 6 only playing one game eve decently as a team. memphis has managed to tweet themselves and manufacturer controversy into being on Christmas day vs the warriors. this isnt a rivalry memphis isnt in the same class.

Regardless of what you think, they got the Warriors attention (and thus the NBA world's attention) and that's all that matters. It's one of the best recent rivalries in the NBA where both fanbases constantly engage with each other to this day

I do not understand why you call this a rivalry. A rivalry implies a competition between two relatively equal-strength teams. Memphis doesn't match up equal to GSW. Most Grizzly plays revolve around Ja Morant. The Grizzlies believe their hype more than they show it. They are a young, talented team that have a long way to go
