@@rakhatthenut3815 exactly, this is Fischer's true genius: his FIDE Elo in 1972 was 2780 (performance rating 2820...) almost 30 years before the chess engine training and preparation era (and that of the early 2000s is not comparable to that of today, we must also add this) He won 20 games in a row, and no one after him (even with the preparation with the engine 😉) has ever managed to replicate. To reach the world title, he beat Larsen and Taimanov 6-0, 6-0, and Petrosyan 6-1, an absolute and practically unparalleled domination... but perhaps you were talking about the chess variant? well, know that Tartakower is a very solid defense that is still played at the highest levels today...

Fischer beat the weakest chess World champion Boris Spassky only 17 wins 10 losses! Capablanca would beat Spassky easily 8 wins 6 draws zero losses! Thanks for covering the candidates for this year again. I think doing all games is the best. For the more 'boring' games, you can just skim over it, discussing what went wrong and how the results impact standings. I still feel like it should be included in the video, even if games aren't too exciting.
I really liked that we got to see both candidates, keen to see the stories unfold
Love to see all the games. Thanks for grinding, Levy!

Yeah it’s a tough watch having the women’s games intermingled with the men’s - much better to have two separate vids - I’m sorry to say it but I have absolutely no interest in the women’s candidates- I don’t even know or care who is the current women’s world champion and I’m sure many male chess Grandmasters feel the same!
With the interviews I wasn't sure if you'd be doing recaps. You legend!

Hi Levy, I just wanted to say thanks for all the great content. I started chess at the Age of 4-5 so about 13 years ago, took a long break and then started again shortly before the cheating scandal. Since then I´ve watched every single one of your videos and you have helped me through quite a rough time. I hope you keep up the work and potentially help others the way you helped me. Hopefully your book arrives soon (bought it in German).
This format is perfect Levy, thank you so much for covering this! I know that yoou would anyway, but still, thanks for being consistently consistent :)

@@masudkhoa3861 because draws are part of the meta-game. The tournament is not about a single game, it's about an overall outcome. There will be slugfests as well, there will be plenty of situations where a player must win, must take risks, and so on. But there are also times when it's kind of just posturing and feeling each other out and no one actually wants to commit to risk. That's all part of it. I think you just need to zoom out and see the larger game being played here.

I'd really love to see more in-depth analysis of each game. Each player has 2 hours to make their moves. It seems warranted to spend more than 4 minutes on each game. Maybe just focus on the actual candidates' tournament and make a separate video covering the women's candidates' tournament for those interested in that.
