Seeing the deferred schliemann gives me hope that we'll see a kings gambit in the candidates someday
"Not at your level, its just the beginning" 🤣 bro gets me every time with these little viewer roasts.
Also, trivia: the last time the deferred Schliemann was played in a top level game was in the 1974 final Candidates match Karpov vs Korchnoi where Korchnoi played the gambit and held Karpov to a draw.

For chess on TV to work, they need to produce it like they do like poker, where it's tape delayed, and highlights the most interesting/ dramatic moments

"In terms of percent, it is playsd VERY VERY rarely" Thank you for your mathematician level percentages Levy.
The way Nepo plays is interesting. Because his positions are solid enough that he forces his opponent to think, and he thinks on his opponents time, which is exhausting but keeps him up on the clock. He's almost daring his opponent to play some wild hair-brained idea that might not be entirely sound
So far, of all the game coverage in these series, I'm most interested in Tan Zhongyi. I didn't know her before this tournament, but the coverage Levy's doing on her games is really exciting! 😃

Good to see you covering both the events. Open and women.

Levy finds a way to blame everyone but Hikaru when theres a boring game 💀💀dude just lost and is playing the lowest seed, but its all on Nijat that this game was boring. Oh hikaru tried so so hard to get a winning position, oh he really did, but it was all Nijats fault.
@KS-pw4qw
Ай бұрын
True, that’s kinda annoying how Levy jumps out of his way to cushion Hikaru’s accumulating failures. Probably because he collabs with him the most, but I still find it weird, as in his recent interview he gave in Russian he told that he doesn’t really know who he is to Hikaru or other top players, so they weren’t really buddies-buddies in the first place.
There is no time to watch the whole game, but still love to see the favorites play thanks Levi for the highlights

"the adidas but not the car" that was a good one
Damn Lei is having the toughest time bouncing back she straight up played the Evans Gambit at 2500 level classical 🤣🤣🤣 I love her playing style she tries to play in a way that is not boring
Levy never fails to fail in this Levy...
Leko saw and supported Rh7 in Pragg's game instinctively.
I get home, walk my dog, one move gets made lolololol :'D
No way he just said that “I’m throwing away a quick black game” LMFAO
Such beautiful games today!
Levy I think your video format is great! However, in my opinion, I think you should increase the video length. Maybe spend more time on each game (assuming their spicy) and dissect them more as they are elite level games competing for the top title. There are a lot of ideas that can easily be missed and most people watching the candidates are chess nerds and won’t mind watching more levy so long as chess is played. Maybe don’t shy from longer video to cover these more complex games? Just an idea:)
Keep walking your doggy!😂
I watch glued up to the tv for 18 minutes... in fact I watched full coverage for 3 rounds on tv...
It's funny I was watching this yesterday because I was at a chess tourment and they had that playing while we were waiting
