Amazing, you can watch Levy slip into the seventh circle of hell in real time. My experience playing bots has been a lot like this though, one minute you're wondering how you could ever lose to something so stupid and the next you're wondering how such disgusting counterplay is even possible. Losing up a full piece is incredibly tilting, you handled it a lot better than I do.

I really hope Gotham has it in him to play the master level bots, I just watched a 92 minute video in one sitting and I'd probably watch the movie length master bots video in one sitting if he ever makes it It's also interesting how in any game playing against the AI has a different meta than playing against other people, just because of how different the logics end up being

They pretend they are stupid for 7 moves straight and then hit you with a depth 18 stockfish move. Even the 550 bot has checkmate moves than even I at 900 just straight up don't see on the board.

Honestly, I think bots at lower levels sometimes make obligatory blunders “because of their ELO.” I beat Nelson easily one game because of the blunder at the right time, and then freaking lost to Aron. Stupid. It’s a dice roll for when the obligatory blunder happens.

It's difficult to mimic human behavior at chess. The blunders that the engine does often don't look human at all.

Those bots feel like they are playing stockfish recommendations and do some nonsense sometimes. While nonsense and engine move rates are ELO dependant. But it seems to be not so much like that.

This is one of my favourite videos. It's so interesting to see how Levy is thinking and all the moves he is calculating while playing these bots. I find these as interesting as the grandmaster games analysis videos because it's watching Levy on the edge of his knowledge of chess in real time trying to beat these guys.

I did it myself some time ago with all non-premium bots including max Komodo though it was thematic speedrun so I always played white. I had 2 loses against Izabel xdddd and against max Komodo. Was fun :P He should try that version.

As someone that's stuck at the 1600 bot, they always play higher than what their rating is. I usually look at my review and most of the time they are above 2200. Glad to see I'm not the only one struggling with them
