It's the case where you read a word and it just looks and sounds weird. I'm sure if he were watching the Olympics and the announcers were discussing the giant slalom or the super G, he wouldn't even think twice about it.

FYI, the Magni bot is not impossible to beat, because I paired up the Magni bot with Stockfish 16 and Stockfish easily made quick work with him.

I drew on The-Magni with that queen trap in the London opening. Only instead of going a3 I shuffled the rook back and forth between a1 and b1 going after the queen till it drew.

The term "Slalom" is often used in the context of winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. To be fair to the Magni bot Magnus also does play in a weird “take you out of your comfort zone” then completely restrict your movement type of way as well

Levy just never

Levy not knowing what a Slalom is was a surprise. It is also used to test the handling of cars, where a bunch of cones are put in a row and the car has to drive around them, swapping sides with each cone. This is actually a thing done in car safety, known as the Elk Test (basically avoiding a obstacle and regaining control). In 1997 a Mercedes A-Class, today known as the Elk / Elch in Germany, failed that test so badly it reached a 45 degree angle and almost toppled over. Then some Swedes came along, and actually flipped it during their test, resulting in the development of ESP, the Electronic Stability Program. Your car has it as well, if it was built after 1999 and is a road car.

I think "Impossible" means you can't win against it. You can only hope for a stalemate...I played it using Stockfish with a pretty high depth and just kept getting draws. Maybe you can test that theory?

Playing a sideline to quickly get you out of theory and rattle you sounds like something a Magni would do

Slalom is an undercategory of alpine skiing and i think it can be used as a verb as well (it has the shortest turns out of 4 undercategories)

I got Stockfish to play the bongcloud with white against the supposedly "impossible" Magni bot. Stockfish got the position back to basically equal with a slight advantage in 16 moves and had +7 by move 37. Checkmate by move 51.

Aside from the chess gameplay... his reaction to his voicelines are hilarious 😂😂
