I think the important lesson here is being missed by a lot of people. Even if you make a mistake (a bad opening in this instance) solid and pragmatic chess can still get you a win! Also I like the new hair.
@alexaneals8194

Even if you make a mistake and lose a queen or rook, you can still comeback and win if you don't panic especially at the lower levels or in rapid games.
you should do a video with hikaru with the queens and kings set on the board the way a lot of people think the chessboard is set up with the white queen xraying through the black king and the black queen xraying through the white king. it would be cool to hear you guys talk about all the drastic changes to the opening this creates and maybe some advantages or disadvantages for the white or black pieces as well as some stupid attacks and threats. idk

As an intermediate player who studied the durås gambit for no reason at all during my own time, i honestly find this very interesting. I really didn’t expect a couple of whites moves early on, and I kinda like how you went with it.

You've yet to play my special opening - The Dram as it only looks good after copious drams of whiskey. The set-up of the Dram,, if allowed by black, sees a position 1. nh3 ... 2. g3 .... 3. f4 if possible 4. nf2, 5. Bg2 6. d6 7. O-O. I think my inebriated brain thought the knight on f2 covered the light squares so i could exchange my light squares bishop for something. What? Can't remember.
