^ understatement. But making overstatements is an art, so we should leave it to the experts at that like the author of this bloated hype. Am I the only one that saw this burgeoning pattern coming since the pattern started emerging with virtually every title? (And am I the only one that unsubscribed after this?)

It wasnt that exagerated, this is the world number one after all that has been untouchable ever since he was there, and besides theres no use in being luke-warm with the title. Hes bringing new content everyday for free for us and its just his right to maximize the reach its gonna have.

To those who complain about "too many games by Magnus on this channel." Your comments are the same of those who in the 1920s said, "Oh, tired of games by Capablanca; let's look at games by Dr Nithriech Nothingspoohler". This channel is educational. Like everybody was once learning from Capablanca for a good reason, Magnus is Capablanca of our times, and any chess player and admirer of the game can learn MORE by watching and analysing games by Magnus Carlsen, than by anybody else in the chess world at this moment. The talent of Magnus will hardly ever repeat in the next 100 years.

@@epicchess2021 That may be the case, but that's not what was emphasized. Bro, for the average person watching- it was like: "Ok.... how is this life-changing exactly? Sorry, where are the double queen sacrifices, or the triple brilliancy? Sorry, did a dark horse rise and match/beat a Magnus winning streak? Did the next child-prodigy make a record-setting performance? Sorry, why again is "everyone" allegedly "in shock"????" Your commentary is sweet because it's rich with flavor and emotional intelligence doesn't take a back seat. We all love that. But we should be wary of letting ourselves be bluntly (or over-simply) emotional, particularly in a digital world where people are fed up with exponentially hyper-sensationalized click-bait titles, like the one you let slip onto our screen prefacing a mundane, completely forgettable typical Magnus game (with less than ideal moves in some cases, nothing like the insane accuracy found in his FIDE world defence vs Ian (notably classical, but regardless- quite memorable)). "Under-promise and over-deliver" I think is the only way forward for this channel full of potential, lol- particularly because if the titles get any more ridiculous it's going to be straight comical, for the wrong reasons. (And I have seen this slow, cringy train coming to this destination for a while) Hope you take this and make things better (more subtle).

Crikey! I thought Magnus was trailing, and Wei Yi the wrong Mexican putting the Chinese burn on the usual suspects, Magnus managed some momentous blunders despite the apparent immaculate performance. Nepo does it, but loses the game before the inarticulate press conference, his calling card.

@@epicchess2021 No worries. Major League Baseball. When the pawns got doubled on the b file, you called them (bestowed them with a label, a phrasing...a moniker of) "Double Bs." That's what two high-profile MLB players were called when they played together on the same team back in the late 80s, early 90s. Even without following baseball, I would lay odds you have heard of one of these players. Let's see how the viewership does with this (now ancient) bit of trivia. Keep up the good work! 💪
