I work as an event technician and in 2019 I ran the audio for a q&a panel which included Angus Taylor. The guy is a real piece of work. Like seriously. To the point where he was willing to sarcastically comment on the importance of compassion in politics and then piss himself laughing at his own fucked up joke. He doesn't even pretend to not be corrupt.

The Nationals go on and on about protecting farming, while enthusiastically encouraging Climate Change through coal mine support, which is making farming much more difficult. What a lovely world we are leaving for future generations. Eventually Australian citizens may be 'Climate Change refugees'. Check out the Murray River in SA. It's revolting. Rivers need WATER FLOW.

The ABC does know. When they are going to run a series of articles they’ll often run an article title like that. I think it is meant to appeal to firstly, people who think of themselves as the sensible centre, and secondly, people who think the topic by itself, in this case water rights, is dull/irrelevant to them. The ABC also often keep the content of the first article ‘safe’ for the sensible centre, I guess to try to get people involved with the topic. I do not know if this does boost the numbers reading the series of articles. It does annoy people in my house, but they also hate the experiencing an issue through the story of an individual style of article, which other people I know tell me is beautiful and affecting. Maybe it does reach a certain audience?
