She wanted to hold onto them, and was playing hard to deal with. In short: We ended up talking because she wanted to, she is broken, alone, and desperate. She was caught up smiling at me many times, for no damn reason and even asked me for a hug before I left. I didn't give her hopes or anything. I am approaching one year since I was dumped, not that I'm keeping track but it happened on Christmas, hard to forget. Not much from her but the new guy she was with seemingly dissapeared. I became good friends with her mom, and talk to her to this day. She refuses to accept her daughters decision, I don't really want her back at this point but I think its funny being nice to her mom as its a constant thorn in my exs side. You guys are the best
