Some decent anti-tank options, more reliable Psychic powers and hopefully our unique Vortex Beast actually being decent would make me happy!

That is a relief. Was going to sell my TS in disgust but have been working abroad so hadn't had a chance. Suppose I better finish my contemptors.

Sounds like daemon engines are getting a bit more powerful, so the Helbrute might get a good power boost!

Cheers Darren, I imagine a lot of TS or DG players were pretty miffed as the FW models are so nice not to include. Not sure why there was such a delay in fixing it, but it’s done at last.

I'm kind of excited to use my 30k grav rapiers whenever were allowed to game in person again.

From a comp play yup limitations are there. It’s not “pick anything from the SM codex” and auto win. TS like may factions have to pick the few good units to at least make a game of it. And tbh I am fine with that as long as we make a game of it. Codex creep is always around and I am sure once the TS one arrives the meta chasers will join our ranks for a few weeks!

I don't understand, was this meant to be an intentional balance change now reversed thanks to backlash? Or did they really not think it through and this is just an eratta fixing their slipup? Either way, that's somewhere between extremely frustrating and borderline inexcusable. It bothers me almost as much that I suspect most people would've simply gone along with the initial rules change. At my table, we'd view that sort of change with a very clear "Nah, fuck that." but I imagine that's a sad rarity. I'd love to hear others' experiences.

Sorry for the delay, for some reason KZread marked your comment for special review! I personally think this was missed and not quality checked rather than deliberate. It really was a single keyword change that totally messed up being able to take FW models for 2 full faction armies, so I dont feel this was a balance thing given TS and DG are hardly top of the tiers of best factions. With the new wording of keywords, it clearly (well to me at least) was being written with the new Codexes in mind, and rules writers are operating several months ahead of the player base rather than in the here and now where we are. So it was an oversight, and a very poor one at that. Hence my extreme frustration in the video before this one. My group of friends I am sure would have allowed me to have continued to use the models too, but swathes of groups out there are sticklers for rules over fun and would have banned them.

@@OldAverageBritGaming I understand. Ultimately, oversights happen even at major companies. That said, I feel like this isn't the first time this has happened with GW. Hopefully they can step up their proofing game as the new codex's come out.

And my Terrax drills can carry the Hoplites again!... do love a good FAQ..
