    I have the 7 egg Cusinart. Piercing both ends with that piercing pin in the bottom of the measuring cup, helps them cook more evenly and the shells come off in virtually in one piece. For hard boiled, you really do want that ice bath ready but that's not what makes the shell come off easily. That's from the steam that gets in between the shell and Albumen. For soft boiled, I want my egg as hot as I can get them while still having a wet yolk. I use a spoon to transfer to an egg cup while in the shell and tap the top inch around to open, or you can set them in the little black rings provided but served with a pat of butter, S&P and "Soldiers" or Toast Points is delicious. A childhood favorite. The quality of your eggs really makes the biggest difference. Mike Rowe did a Dirty Jobs episode on why commercial eggs are so swampy smelling and tasting. You deserve better than that.

    Bruh I got one so old I can't even find it on KZread or Google I've seen some that look similar but I think mine is a prototype 🤣 but I'm trying to poach with it and I just can't find anything anywere on how

    The whole needle does not need to disappear into the egg, push it gently, it is enough that the needle penetrates the eggshell only, that would be totally enough. Eggshells are so thin, it is when you force the needle to far that the risk for the egg to break is greater. And if the egg despite the gentleness do break, it can happen very rare tho, than it was something wrong with the egg and its shell. You meant that the smaller tray goes on top the eggs when the bigger tray is full with 7 eggs, you said 6 eggs.

    I was reading reviews on Amazon and some guy gave it a 3 star rating, he claims it makes a mess whenever he makes hard boiled eggs in it. He also posted a couple of pictures. As soon as I looked at them I can tell what his problem was. He pierced the wrong end of the eggs. Do NOT pierce the pointy end, always pierce the the rounder end, the end that is normally facing up in the egg carton. Don't lift the lid as soon as it shuts off, give it a minute to cool down otherwise you may burn your fingers from the steam like I did the first time I used it. Use tongs with silicone on the ends, much easier to pick up the hot eggs and transfer them to a bowl of cold water.

    Probably recorded with a iPhone, they tend to reverse videos and pictures.
