I have a 15 year old model by a different company. Mine also holds 7 Eggs and has the marks on the Water jug so you cannot only decide how you want them boiled Soft/Med or Hard but also how many you want to cook. There are cheaper versions that only hold 6 Eggs and gives you the same 3 options Soft/Med or Hard Boiled but only shows you the amount of water for 6 Eggs? However they do include dishes for doing 2 half Circle Poached Eggs and a Full Circle one for Omelettes. I use mine mostly for Pickled Eggs. I normally do a batch and whilst sorting those out I set off a second batch. When both are sorted I leave them in a bowl of running water to go cold for 10 mins the leave for an hour

I asked for this for Christmas. I love making and eating deviled eggs and this steamer makes it look foolproof.. I have tried to make two batches and am getting very frustrated and may return it if someone can't help me with these problems: 1. the beaker hole maker won't make it through the egg without breaking it or making a really big hole. 2. both batches pretty much exploded in the steamer. I used a thumbtack for the second batch so the hole would be smaller.

Ha I like my eggs well done. They are usually green around the yolk. I didn't know that it mattered at all. LOL Learn something new every day.

The green is okay, but getting the yokes to a nice yellow is ideal.

So the cup that came with mine seems to have a rather flat poker on the end, and I can't seem to poke the end with it. Instead I used a needle. Anyone else have this problem? or is the poker on the cup broken?

Your poker might be broken. I remember one my grandma had when I was little. She and I would make eggs with it all the time.

Here is a strange question. I just got an egg cooker, it says poke the whole in the top of the egg. Which end is the top? also I noticed you put the side with the hole you made down in the egg tray. My instructions say put the hole side up in the egg tray.

I found the best results when I poked the hole in the largest part of the egg and put the hole up.

My brother-in-law works at a commercial egg plant and I asked him which end of the egg was considered the top? He tells me that the large end is the top and that is the way they load them into the cartons that is because loading them that way keeps the yoke centered in the egg shell. Always poke the hole in the large end and place it in the cooker hole side up NOT DOWN!

Hello, When you buy your Eggs they are always boxed with the Air Sack uppermost. That is the Top of the Egg.

I always just use which end is up in the egg carton as the "top". Gravity works on the the eggs as they sit in the carton either on the shelf at the store or in your fridge, the air pocket seems to always work it's way up there.

that brand is a play on the word cuisine (pronounced quiz-een) so that brand is pronounced quiz-in-art, not que-zen-art.
