2:48 - the most important moment - he demonstrates where is a top side of an egg. Most people are mistaken. So, now you know how to pierce eggs correctly. Thank you Jeff!

We do that, put the eggs into cold water, the older the egg the easier to peel. We've tried a little vinegar in the water, as well.

Awesome video. The only reason store bought eggs have that "air pocket' is because they have degraded for about two/three weeks before you even buy them. Fresh eggs will not have have that air pocket because they have not degraded yet (that is why it is damned near impossible to hard boil fresh eggs and peel them). You need to let fresh eggs "age" for 4 weeks before trying to hard boil them. You can also take fresh eggs, cover them with a thin layer of mineral oil and store them (non-refrigerated) for 6+ months. Have fun with your chickens next year. I have raised my own flock for 20 years.

The person who designed this egg cooker to cook 10 eggs out of a dozen is the same person who decided to package 8 hotdog buns instead of 10 so as not to match the hotdog packaging.

Love it, I watched another video before yours and they didn’t say to remove the plastic cover over the needle of the water beaker. My eyes aren’t the best so I thought you just used the plastic to crack the egg...needless to say everything worked out great when I watched your video. Direct and to the point 😊

I find it's easiest to pierce the eggs while they're still in the carton. I also add the water before I put the eggs in. If you find it's leaking water then you don't have everything lined up properly. When it shuts off, let it sit for a minute before you remove the lid, much less chance of burning yourself. I like to use tongs that have silicone on the ends. Much easier to pick up the eggs to transfer them to a bowl of cold water. (no need for a freezer).
