Philips Smoke-less Indoor Grill HD6371/94 Review Demo

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Philips Smoke-less indoor grill. LINK to GRILL: amzn.to/3IJJ4sk Not meant to be Smokeless, it's Smoke-less meaning minimal smoke. It’s 1660 watts. Measures 21 inches across, 14 inches deep and 6 inches tall. The die-cast aluminum grid is 13.5 inches by 7.5 inches, non stick. It weighs 16 lbs hd6371/94
Uses Infrared technology, these glass reflectors guide the heat up towards the grid and the drip tray stays cool so there should be less smoke.
Included is the cooking grid which sits on the base, the drip tray which you slide into the base. An instruction leaflet and recipe booklet with recipes for grilled vegetables, meat, seafood and fruit. There is a chart with the type of meat, vegetable and cooking time. I don’t know who comes up with this leaflet but it’s kind of sad to see the pictures of animals like they came out of some children’s book, might have been better just to write out words like beef, chicken, fish. The power cord is inches long. The control knob has one temperature for cooking which is 450 degrees fahrenheit/ 232 degrees celsius and a keep warm setting at 250 degrees fahrenheit/121 degrees celsius. So there is no adjusting the temperature while cooking. There is no lid and you should not use a lid or foil on this grill because that could cause the unit to overheat.
I hope you found this review helpful. Subscribe for more useful reviews and I'll see you next time. Thanks for watching :)

    Guys, I forgot to mention the CONFUSION with the word "smoke-less" At first glance, you might think it's "smokeless", meaning no smoke but it's not meant to be. It's just supposed to have minimal smoke.

    YA DID ME GOOD with helping to decide on buying... drum roll please... THE DeLONGHI !!! Just watching you use this Phillips made my eyeballs groan! And your review on the one I am buying was, as always, fantastic. lol 🤣😂 Seriously, I have seen, in person, both devices, and the DeLonghi just seems like the right fit for the needs of this-here single "Old-fart". Thank you SO MUCH for what you provide for us.

    Cooking from the sides you’re looking directly into the heating elements that are focused on the grill top. If however, you cook from either end you are not staring at the heating elements. Next, do you clean the insides of your out door grill,or just the grill top. The two end pieces internally have no need to be cleaned very often. The easiest way to clean them and the glass is with a razor blade scraper and easy off. The same as glass top electric ranges. The range cooks with infrared light. The surfaces inside that matter are behind the sealed glass sides. The rest is pure esthetics. The splatter on the inside pieces is minimal as most of it drops to the drip pan. What’s left is carbonized and sanitized from the heat.

    You always do very good reviews. Most electric grills will cycle on and off but I did not notice this happening with this one. If that is the case, it should maintain the temperature fairly well.

    The Phillips Smoke-less Indoor Grill looks easy to use, however the cleaning process seems to be a bit of an inconvenience. The food looked evenly cooked and the grill would be great for cooking chicken.

    I have the Phillips, and it's awesome! Just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Many folks complain that it doesn't brown or char that well, but it does if you turn it on and let it sit for a full 10 minutes before putting anything on the grill bars. Also, MARINATE all meats. It's a nice to have for other grills, but it's essential for the Phillips since its using radiant heat rather than direct flame or element heat. Do these steps, and you too will love the Phillips. I now prefer it to anything else for grilling, and the only better flavor out there is from charcoal.

    This grill is very difficult to clean because the grease drippings stay on the glass on the sides of the grill. After use it will never be completely clean. Very bad product from Philips. Also the infrared bulbs have limited life rending this grill useless when they brake.

  • @sfisher973

    @sfisher973

    1) The glass is just as simple to clean as any glass top electric range. It also has little to nothing to do with the use of the grill. The parts that matter are sealed behind the glass. 2)When is the last time you replaced you replaced a protected infrared bulb? These aren’t lightbulbs, and even lightbulbs lasted for years. Most thing are rendered useless when they break. What’s your point?

  • @michaelbresso

    There's no real need -- other than aesthetics -- for it to be "completely clean" inside. It affects nothing so unless you're truly OCD, this is something you should not get hung up about at all. Think of it instead as the grill being "seasoned" -- which is a really good thing! :-) Ultimately, the only thing I clean are the top grill and drip pan -- and since they're removed with the flick of a wrist and made of Teflon and stainless steel (respectively), nothing on Earth can be easier to clean. Beyond that, unless you use your grill for hours on end, every single day, I can't believe the infrared bulbs have any unusually-accelerated predisposition to, uh, "brake" (you mean like slow down as in a car...?).
