    Brilliant tutorial as always Bob, many thanks for the support. Just one quick question, how do you render the texture of terraform in cycles 4d please? All i seem to get is a white landscape but in standard render it show's the colour gradient. Cheers.

    Well done. and thank you, but a course combined and working with XP, Cycles, Terraform, Meshtools. would be amazing, how these 4 plugins working together, some tricks and methods will be helpful to users, also terraform and mesh tools requires a manual for users to discover more and be helpful to insydium community.

    I like the added use of the various bitmap data as materials. I noticed the geo caps at 4000 segments. I guess this would be a proxy geo for things like forester.. then you use the bitmaps as the displacement map in Redshift with all of that fine detail to get much higher definition with render time tessellatiopn. when you get in close as in real world scale the terrain easily becomes too low res.. it looks fine when we are high up like in this video... thats kind of a diorama view like the volcano on the desk gag...

    I’m probably being stupid but have only been able to get 4K max out of the bitmap export. You got any idea how to get 8K? The 4K maps don’t hold up particularly nicely in Octane

  • @drewnix7201

    @drewnix7201

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@braggaboutit1233 4K is all I can enter also. I've crashed octane a few times with 4000 segments. But, if I create a plane and apply bump and displacement with it, it works good. Try that. Octane can calculate up to 8192x8192 on displacement. Don't worry about how many segments are on plane. Octanes displacement doesn't care about that.
