    Nice tutorial thanks. I could listen to Bob doing tutorials all day in his clear and enthusiastic style. I particularly enjoyed seeing how to render the crystal growth in Cycles as Rendering is one area where I haven't got much of a clue :)

    Hi Bob, what kind of machine you are using? I notice a significant improvement in performance when I change the priority for C4D (and Xpartiucles) from standard to High.

    @@boxer7858 On windows, go to task manager -> choose Details tab -> Righ mouse btn on Cinema 4D.exe -> Set priority -> ... and set it to high or even realtime if your PC can handle calculations. Oh, keep in mind, it may crash more often and Cinema 4D has to be already open to set that value! Enjoy :)

    Cycles is a render engine for blender. Why you sell the open source render engine ? Why you change the name to cycle 4d ? If it is open source you sell it for free?

    I'm waiting for an update as well. It's great tools, too bad last release is as stable as nitroglycerin.

    @@PaulColton Yes, all of it, including Cycles 4D. I'd wait for few months at least until they fix all the bugs from this rushed release. Cycles 4D is so unstable under MacOs that it's not usable in production. Current release crashes, 6 out of 10 items is extremely buggy, there's no documentation yet. It is fun to play with though, just no where close to being production ready. This year was tough on these guys, hopefully they can pull it together before they witness large drop in subscriptions.
