Cinema 4D Tutorial: Create a Looping Flythrough Landscape

Фильм және анимация

In this tutorial I'll show you how to create a looping landscape flyby in Cinema 4D. We'll use some spline wrap techniques to make the landscape turn into a conveyor belt so you can save polygons and create seamless loops. Hope you enjoy it!

Ha that was so smart! I've been trying to do this using the landscape wrapped as a sphere then rotating that 360 to get a loop but I couldn't get enough detail having to stretch it so much side to side without it obviously looking like a sphere rotating rather than a landscape being raced across. THIS is the way to do it! Thanks.

Wow this is great. I envy u with yer knowledge. Im dipping my toe into this C4D. Quite difficult to use. But this is mind blowing. My comp crashed on every occasion when i tried to do a HUUUGE landscape scene. Amazing hack ;)

Subbed. I hope u do more of these landscape scenes. Hardly any on yt. Trying to set up big movies scenes is a nightmare and almost impossible to render. (Days and days render). Please keep these comin ;).

Hoooly shit, that's amazing and it's exactly what I needed for a project I'm going to start in a few days! This isn't going into my "useful things I will most likely never need" playlist, it's going into "watch later"!

@@FootballHD-tl9np I need to loop a really big sphere rotating with a lot of stuff on it, however if I actually loop the rotation of the sphere it will be way too long, like a solid few minutes. With this I can fake a sphere.

question: I Would like to stick a dancing person to one of the clone cubes. At the moment the person is always in the centre of the camera, while the landscape is moving underneath. Could you help me with that ?

Strange, it works on mine. You probably have to change your texture to a different setting, maybe only UVW works?

Thanks for the knowledge. I notice the animation slows down towards the end of the timeline. How would you maintain the same speed from frame 1 through 90?

  • @ktrzr

You dont bother to explain at all the null you have there or how to create so that it creates the backgrounds by clicking on it, if your going to do a tutorial then you need to address everything you do and cant just expect us to magically know the parts you neglect to mention.
